I'm rereading this in preparation for CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR. I want to know how much of the movie they based on the comic books.

Even without the movie, the Civil War story line is one of the best ones I have read to date. No one is really the villain in this story. You understand where each person is coming from. You get to know why they stand on the side that they are on.

Superheroes had been without reigns ever since they started doing their thing. The US government decides that it was time for them to be held accountable for the things they do. Up to a point, they are correct, but what happens to these superheroes willingness to choose. They are not given any freedom to choose whether to join this group or not. They may have super powers, but at the end of the day, they're humans too. They have human rights, and that includes the freedom to choose, which the government, obviously, wasn't giving them.

I'm on Captain America's side on this one. I'm not being biased because I think Chris Evans is hot - this is not about that. I really believe that a legislation like that would not benefit anybody. Well, possibly the government. Haha. They want the people of America to be safe? I don't fucking think so.

Anyways, I've always like Mark Millar's work. This was the first one I read of him and was thoroughly impressed with he tells his story. The illustrations were great, the writing was great, the conflict was expertly done. I have no other comments about this first issue aside from IT WAS AWESOME!

This is an AWESOME start to the series!
I've been planning to read Civil War even before watching CAPTAIN AMERICA : CIVIL WAR, since I heard that the comics included much more details to the story where all the tension was built up. And of course to see all of those other characters that are originally involved in both teams!!!

I'm not a big comic fan, I have to admit, but I loved this. I can't wait to read the rest and even though I know and understand why the MCU had to go a different way, I still want to finish it before the movie comes out.
Cap's team all the way <3

REAL: 3.5 ⭐

Algunos personajes no tienen ni diálogos o muy pocos The Sentry, Wonder Man, The Vision, Cloack.

This is just the first issue and I know the Civil War event gets a lot of criticism but this is a pretty good setup for an event. It also helps break Captain America away from his pro-America nonsense to wanting to fight for actual freedom for Americans. Cap has never been a street-level fighter like Spider-Man or Luke Cage, but I think putting him at odds with the country he loves actually brings out more of a nuanced character in him.

We also get a real good look at Maria Hill, who may as well he a villain in nearly every event she is in.

Tony, while completely in the wrong, is written fairly well, as many of his decisions are made out of fear for the future: a future that I think he has every right to be scared of even if his actions only make things worse.

I would also like to note that Reed Richards has always been kind of an asshole and this event seems to further that fact. Same with Pym.

The stage has been set for the inevitable showdown between the superheroes. All the different characters and storylines being pursued create an engaging and complex story to follow.

“Identitas rahasia bukanlah masalah besar.

The ideas ended up being a lot more complex than I thought. I do think there should’ve been a deeper motivation for Iron Man siding against Cap, but overall I think both sides are really well written and make a lot of sense.

really great start. this and the illuminati one-shot are so great at exploring the moral conflict and ramifications a superhero registration act could have and every character is genuinely so compelling.

Reading this after having seen the movies. I was surprised to see the X-men and the Fantastic Four are also originally in this story. Nice setup.

So unrealistic. I can't imagine people being willing to ban something that is important to American culture just because that thing has killed hundreds of people.

This book was one of the best books. These characters like captain america connected with me because he knows he right but he doesn't want to argue. I liked Spider-man to because he was doing everything they told him that's kinda what i do. Comics are my favorite books because they actually have pictures and they also teach u a lot of new words and they ain't that long like chapter books. Iron man was really being selfish because he always thinks he's right but he ain't he went through a lot to capture captain america.

On: https://www.marvel.com/comics/discove...

Once upon a time i had an acquaintance/friend who also liked reading marvel comics. We both saw this title in a gorgeous hardcover for just 15 euro! He bought... I actually can't remember which superhero civil war he bought but we had a pact we would exchange the comics.

That never happened and now I'm actually glad. This isn't my favourite storyline. I don't want all of my favourites fighting each other. Even if i understand how unrealistic that would be.

So I will check out some other titles and for now I'm content to stop reading this storyline.
