Legend of the Fae: A Highland Fantasy (The Dark Fae Saga Book 1) Ella of Andor, the Fae Princess of Darkness embarks on a journey that would ensure her kingdom’s victory as prophesied. Laird Galen Graham stumbles upon an injured woman in desperate need of protection and care. I really liked this story. Ella is complex and yet hardened of heart but not soul, and Galen is a lost soul looking for the right woman to complete his life. They both need and want happiness in their own ways but battle of their own might get in the way.
I love the side characters, and the dog. This is a good journey and you get to see the fae world, the good vs evil kind of stuff. This will be a great adventure, a battle to end all battles and I cannot wait to read what happens next. There seems to be a disconnect between the writer and the written word. I could not feel the story in my heart. Don’t get me wrong the story and plot are great, and I cannot wait for the next book. I just didn’t feel what the characters felt. But it did not stop me from reading or wanting to know what happened next.
HIGHLAND BURN I loved this book. It is well done and takes you back and forth through time without making you feel lost or confused. You enjoy Finn and Elspeth and the path they have to walk. I love fae books and with this one you have it all. Fae, time travel, mystery, action, danger, and so much more. Plus she does a lovely romance mixed in there. I cannot wait till the next book (Just Wait for Me) to come out. I want to see what happens next.
I don't want to give too much out because honestly it is a book you have to read. To tell you anything gives a lot away. However, you will love the fact that it is a man that goes back in time and meets his future.
Just Beyond the Garen Gate What ever you do, do not drop this book. Yes it is a bit slow at the beginning, but it is very important information. Once you get to the past it picks up and is a very wonderful book.
I forget sometimes that I like being whisked away into Faery world and such. I felt it with this book. I love faeries, Fae, Witches an such, as long as they are historical. To see a strong woman, but submissive woman with this dominant man who is all intents and purposes, a chief in all senses of the word. It's hard for her since she has been around a man who is always dominant. Then to be thrown into this world and not feel chaos all around.
He is betrothed, a war with his betroths father if he doesn't marry. Faeries and brownies making mischief, But falling in love with a woman couple centuries older than he instead. How can this book not be good.
Yes she went hurling through time and dropped at his feet. Parents can be the most wonderful people, they don't interfere with your life.... lmao right they don't interfere....
You will love this book. ENDING is Awesome!!!
Child of Awe This story is about Muriella Calder, a child born to inherit a great fortune. She is being hunted by everyone. Some want to marry her off and others want to kill her off. I liked this book. The flow was well done and kept you reading.
This book has mystery, action, love, tears and so much more. You grow up with Muriella, and feel her as she goes through everything that has happened to her. John Campbell the second son of the Earl is betrothed to the young lady and is a reluctant as she is with the marriage but for different reasons. You really need to read this book. I believe you will like it as much as I did.
Child Of Awe 442pg This is not like many of the highlander books I've read where the captured bride settled easily with her warrior. It's probably more realistic with men political agendas, clan loyalty and grudges taking precedence. Woman being traded for alliances/property disregarding their wants or needs & the crushing sense of betrayal, humiliation, isolation as well the loneliness.
Not a light read but filled with intrigue of conniving plots, fierce battles, wistful legends and disturbing visions. I feel I've rambled through a medieval keep and beyond.
Legend of the Fae 240pg Fae Princess of darkness while on a mission to kidnap a baby as leverage to win the war, is sidetracked falling into medieval Scotland & discovers her life was stolen.
Sweet romance of self dicovery
Highland Burn 185pg A natural born princess deposited in a convent where cruel nuns taunted her, push into an arranged marriage where the warrior groom didn't want her. Her husband was fearsome warrior with magical powers, afraid of unleashing the beast within.
The story line had potential but I would of liked to be drawn further into the mythology of dragonkine.
A few teases for next book I'm not fired with curiosity.
Child of Awe was completely unnecessary in the set. I almost deleted the whole thing. Instead I skipped the whole first book after the 5 or 6 scene of her flipping out and acting like a land locked fish. Seriously author don't be so repetitive. It's completely unnecessary. Just brought the whole bundle down in my opinion. The rest were spot on. Oh and the whole biting the finger off just gross. Seriously
