This book is part of a series and should be read in order. Also coincides with Beyond the Angel Pack Series.
There are so many things going on in this book. Not only the relationship of Lexi and Bailey, but also the ongoing battle with Malachi and other relationships. The book kept me engrossed from start to end.
I really liked Lexi and Bailey as a couple. Bailey is young at only eighteen at the start of the story, but he has not had an easy life. He had to leave his pack at the age of twelve. On his own he got caught up with a bad element and did things he was not proud of to survive.
Lexi, due to his own history, takes the time to go slowly with Bailey. He does not rush Bailey into the claiming. Lexi wants his mate, but he is very willing to wait until Bailey is completely comfortable. Plus I enjoyed Lexi. He has a great sense of humor.
There are more plots revealed as to what Malachi is up to. The Angel Pack and their allies sure will have a lot on their hands. There is also finally a resolution between Storm and Aaron. The siblings finally have a heart to heart and are able to make peace with each other.
There is also a development in the relationship of Ryland and Phenex. I cannot wait to see what happens with that. Plus another new young member of the pack has found one of their mates so I look forward to seeing where that goes.
So like I said, a lot happens in this book. And I enjoyed it all.
As everyone knows I am a huge fan of Maggie Walsh’s book series “The Angel Pack and “Beyond the Angel Pack”. I was super excited to have won her giveaway; a copy of any of her books. Of course I jumped at the chance to read the newest book in the series. As usual I was not disappointed.
Wow is all I can say… I am so blown away by the direction this story has taken and how the characters continue to evolve without losing the qualities that made me fall in love with them. This book revolves around the mating of Lexi and Bailey but we do get updates on everyone and the epic battle we didn’t see coming.
Lexi is soldier and so much more than he can imagine, when he meets Bailey it’s like everything that was missing from his life came together. Bailey is shy and has had a rough life that has made it hard for him to be open with those around him. Lexi wants his mate and to live an uncomplicated life, Bailey is loveable in this book and makes you want to hug him. While also dealing with misunderstandings in their relationship; they also have to face stalkers and Malachi’s never ending drama.
Rating: 4 stars Lexi is one of my favorite characters in the series. I love the way he befriended Taylor and all the other mates in the previous books. I think if I had to nit-pik on thing, it would be Bailey’s age. I felt he was a bit too young and immature. Other than that, another good installment in the Angel Pack series.
