Silvermane has discovered the Elixir of Life and has had his youth restored. While Silvermane initiated his transformation, Curt Connors struggles to prevent his as the Lizard tries to force his way out!
Stan Lee (born Stanley Martin Lieber) was an American writer, editor, creator of comic book superheroes, and the former president and chairman of Marvel Comics.
With several artist co-creators, most notably Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, he co-created Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, Thor as a superhero, the X-Men, Iron Man, the Hulk, Daredevil, the Silver Surfer, Dr. Strange, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Scarlet Witch, The Inhumans, and many other characters, introducing complex, naturalistic characters and a thoroughly shared universe into superhero comic books. He subsequently led the expansion of Marvel Comics from a small division of a publishing house to a large multimedia corporation.
The secret of the Ancient Tablet is at last found out....Silvermane has eternal youth! but we know this is going to come at a cost..and Dr.Curt Conners is the man to supply it. Great..if over dramatic Cover.
ASM #75 delivers high-stakes action and unexpected twists as the ancient tablet finally fulfills its purpose—granting mob boss Silvermane the "Elixir of Life." His shocking transformation into a younger version of himself adds a fascinating (and eerie) new layer to the story. Meanwhile, Dr. Curt Connors fights a transformation of his own, desperately trying to suppress the Lizard within him.
Spidey, always juggling multiple crises, manages to rescue Connors’ wife and son, but his problems are far from over. The Lizard escapes, setting up even more chaos down the line. The issue keeps the tension high, blending mob drama with monster mayhem in classic Spider-Man fashion.
Romita Sr.’s art is as dynamic as ever, capturing both the horror of Silvermane’s unnatural de-aging and the raw intensity of Spidey’s battles. Stan Lee’s signature flair is on full display, complete with fun dialogue and the ever-present sense of impending doom.
A gripping issue with major developments, setting the stage for even bigger things to come. Definitely a must-read for fans of Spidey’s more dramatic storylines!
Awesome dramatic cover that makes you want to read the issue, just to know what happened.
As usual, the cover is not up to what really happens. Anyway, despite being a bit melodramatic, the story is a great conclusion to the Tablet's story arc.
I liked the unexpected twist on Silvermane's fate, and it surprised me despite being partly predictable. It also feels quite original, and I think it wasn't used before in the Marvel Universe.
The fast-paced, action-packed issue and Silvermane's progressive transition from winner to desperation were splendidly executed. The storytelling in this series is great, and this issue is no exception. All of the characters acted in accordance with their personalities and coherently.
The slow but expected return of the Lizard added suspense, and Spider-Man's personality and his personal conflicts are always interesting.
And lastly, John Romita Sr. is always outstanding with those Spider-Man panoramic views over New York and the dynamic panels. The last panel with the menacing wizard is absolutely cool.
“Uh oh! I’m starting to tingle again! There’s new danger near!” – Spider-Man.
So, with Curt Connors help, Silvermane has translated The Tablet to create a potion that gives him the “secret of eternal youth” and is looking unrecognisable after drinking it last issue. Spidey manages to rescue Connors’ wife and son but The Lizard escapes….
“Let me say a thing about nicknames like Jim “Madman” Mooney as seen in the credits Stan loved to devise. Forty years later fans still come up to greet me at conventions with “Jazzy” Johnny or “Ring-a-Ding” Romita, and it has been fun for all of us. There’s no telling how much it added to the fans and their bonding with all of us.” – John Romita Snr.
Pencarian Spider-Man berhasil. Akhirnya ia berhasil menemukan tempat Silvermane menahan Dr. Connors, istri, dan anaknya. Dengan tajuk "Death Without Warning" di nomor ini ada lagi yang mati.
