Stan Lee (born Stanley Martin Lieber) was an American writer, editor, creator of comic book superheroes, and the former president and chairman of Marvel Comics.
With several artist co-creators, most notably Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, he co-created Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, Thor as a superhero, the X-Men, Iron Man, the Hulk, Daredevil, the Silver Surfer, Dr. Strange, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Scarlet Witch, The Inhumans, and many other characters, introducing complex, naturalistic characters and a thoroughly shared universe into superhero comic books. He subsequently led the expansion of Marvel Comics from a small division of a publishing house to a large multimedia corporation.
After Peter nearly quits after last issue...he's back battling The Sandman and The Enforcers...who seem to be in every other ASM comic.. Maybe a contrast to the general run of super powered super villains we've had. Betty starts " dating" Ned Leeds..it's kind of hard to tell with Betty in these issues
Spider-Man is back in action! After going through some personal issues last month (meaning that he had to stay at home and take care of his aunt), Spider-Man is back and in full-force! After only being back a day, he stops a bank heist and dukes it out with Sand-Man and the Enforcers! After the villainess group kidnaps the Human Torch to lay bait for the web-slinger, Spider-Man finds their secret lair and starts a battle that ends with him pairing with the Fantastic Four member and rounds up most of the wrong-doers! This was an exciting comic that ended with a hint of menace and more thrills to come!
Overall a good story arc that, while not providing consequential new ground for the character, captures a nice character study of a superhero’s everyday life.
One could argue that the small stakes and small conflicts represent a unique quality to Peter Parker’s storyline; the universe won’t blow up if he fails, he’ll just ruin his relationship with his girlfriend; that’s the stake. That’s THE ENTIRE stake. And that’s enough. It’s truly quite unique that such mundane problems as relationships, economic hardship, and health problems would be presented as the predominant conflict in a comic book storyline. It really immerses the reader in the uniquely smaller atmosphere Spider-Man inhabits within the narrative universe of Marvel, and makes it even more suspenseful because he has less resources at his disposal to fight super-powered villains.
It was a very nice arc choice on Lee’s part to have all 3 of the main issues in this storyline mirror each other; for instance the Human Torch motif. His reappearance in each issue serves as a bookmark of Peter’s character growth, as we reflect on everything that happened to Peter between his the last time the Torch showed up and now. By making each issue’s structure and overall plot mirror each other so closely, it causes the few things that are different to stick out; specifically, what is different is the character of Peter Parker, between the first issue and final issue.
On a lesser note, this issue begins an incredible ongoing storyline for Peter Parker; it introduces and teases the ongoing saga of the secret identity behind the Green Goblin. Who or what he could be will remain unknown for several more issues, but it will go on to be one of the most important storylines in the history of Spider-Man. It’s interesting, then, that it should be so un-integral to this storyline, apart from making us wonder why the Goblin is so interested in Spider-Man.
Nothing particularly groundbreaking occurs in terms of Spider-Man’s development in this arc, although it is definitely a compelling side story.
Rasa percaya diri Peter Parker untuk membasmi kejahatan di New York sudah kembali lagi setelah Bibi May sembuh dari sakitnya. Ia pun beraksi kembali memakai kostum Spider-Man.
Spider-Man pun menelusuri markas mereka. Spider-Man berhasil menyelamatkan Human Torch sehingga mereka berdua berhasil mengalahkan Sandman dan the Enforcers.

It's good to be back to Spider-Man. My son and I binged all the Spider-Man movies this week capped off with No Way Home in the theater. That got me excited and I re-started my Marvel Unlimited subscription and picked up where I left off a couple years ago. That's this issue.
Ol' Spidey is back at it fighting Sandman and the Evil Enforcers. The highlight of this is Stan Lee's introduction. He promises cover-to-cover action. He said make certain you, the reader, have enough time to finish it in one sitting. I did not actually. But he was correct; this was cover-to-cover action.
Once again The Torch from Fantastic Four was involved. He was captured and placed under glass with just enough oxygen to breathe. That prevented his from igniting and melting himself out.
Spider-Man returned from his supposed hiatus to take on the bad guys. He did it with his usual wit.
I really struggle to write much when my least favourite of Spidey's rogues gallery is in the issue. Even if you put the word "evil" in front of Enforcers doesn't make them any less of a set of z list characters.
Aunt May makes a miraculous recovery from her heart attack/ surgery/ illness so Parker once again returns to his costume and takes on Sandman and the above mentioned trio. And Ned Leeds is formally introduced as competition for Betty Brant (not that Peter seems to care).
Whilst I'm talking things I dislike I may as well mention the spider signal; it always feels out of place and thievery of Batman's shtick. The sooner they stop with it the better.
"If anyone asks what happened to you guys, be sure to spell name right! There's a hyphen in it, remember!". Truer words never said.
Spider-Man and the Human Torch vs. the Sandman? Sign. Me. Up. This issue features a lot of action, and tons of fun tidbits that have been added in the movies, such as Spidey webbing up his camera to take pictures while he fights, and particularly the introduction of Ned Leeds (his best friend from Spider-Man Homecoming. I didn’t even know Ned was in the comics!) I love the banter between Peter and Johnny Storm, and the way they get tangled up in the web trying to get Sandman is pretty freakin’ great. Can’t wait to read the next issue and find out who the teased villain is! It’s very obviously the Scorpion.
Spider-Man beraksi kembali!
The latest in a pretty good run. Nothing spectacular, but here's a rundown of the hits and misses for me:
+ The Enforcers being paired up with Sandman was a surprisingly good fit. + Any time the Torch and Spidey cross paths is a good time. + This is the issue where Spidey definitely sets the record straight about putting a hyphen in his name.
- The ending had me intrigued about who was getting introduced next issue... until the mailbag section at the end spoiled it entirely.
😂 Poor Torch, his mortal enemy Asbestos struck again! I liked
Yeah, Spidey is back in action. This time against the Enforcers, towards whom I somehow have a love-hate relationship. On one hand, they're super boring, but on the other hand, they also have a comedic side, like when Spider-Man treats them like punching bags when Montana swings his lasso again. Also, there's some progress in the banter with the Human Torch, whom I'm starting to like more and more. All in all, the storyline of the last few issues shows a nice character development for Peter.
A nice trip back to a much simpler time. This is you classic Spidey/Torch team up so popular in the early 60's; two teenagers with awesome powers who have a love/hate relationship that has turned into a 'bromance' to this day. The Enforcers and Sandman capture the Torch, and Spidey comes to the rescue! Really fun issue that is extremely kid friendly.

An epic issue! Redemption for Spidey! A team-up with another super hero, and an ominous ending promising more excitement to come. Really loved this one!
