This was basically reading something from the Western genre with familiar characters. If you do not like westerns, you will not like this comic as there is nothing truly "super powered" about it. It is just a western with familiar characters/faces. And that still made it great.

I thought this would be similar to Marvel 1602, but I think this must be part of the Secret Wars, which I haven't read. Still, I enjoyed the different Marvel characters re-imagined as part of the Wild West... I can only hope that Bucky isn't really dead! I should have time to hunt down more of the Secret Wars series before the next issue comes out...

Definitely a different look at Marvel characters in the Old West with some familiar trappings.

I loved this one. I'm glad that I was paying attention the last time I walked into the comic bookstore, because I'd somehow overlooked this one during my previous visit. Fortunately, they were talking about it at the register. Marvel Western. Brilliant!

Nicole Virella provided some really good art for this issue. I liked this art a lot better than anything new from Marvel in the last few years, but then again I haven't read a whole lot of Marvel lately. Characters all look great, clothing & backgrounds have tons of detail. Art gets 4 stars.

I'm unfamiliar with writer Jerry Duggan. I do like the set up he used putting well known Marvel characters in the old west. This seems like a promising start to this mini series. For now the writing gets 4 stars. Depending on how the next few issues turn out, the next few writing scores could go either way.

What if!? 1872 version

Such a fun concept! Headed to issue 2 right now. Stark, Rogers and Fisk are the Deadwood characters Marvel needs NOW!

I remember liking this one more than the 1609 one, but other than that, I read this in 2016 and couldn't tell you really much else. Oops.
