The highly anticipated sequel to the instant New York Times and global bestselling phenomenon, The Love Hypothesis.
Olive Smith finally has her PhD, and she's living her happy ever after. Well, not quite hereverafter, since postdoctoral fellowships are temporary by nature, but she doesn't mind: she has her friends, her research, and best of all, she has Dr. Adam Carlsen. Intense, brilliant, endlessly undaunted by the chaos Olive has smuggled into their shared house, Adam is determined to spend his future by her side.
And yet, there are no fairy tales in academia. Being in love with another researcher means navigating the hard reality of clashing schedules, an increasingly grim and ultracompetitive job market, and Olive's desire to be seen as a formidable scientist in her own right.
Being with Adam is the most real thing Olive has ever known. As the pressure tightens and the stakes rise, she'll have to set all confounding variables aside and learn to trust her heart.
I'm Ali, and I write contemporary romcom novels about women in STEM and academia. I love cats, Nutella, and side ponytails. I'm also currently learning to crochet, so as you can tell I'm a super busy gal with an intense and exciting life!
I only use Goodreads as a reader, to review and hype books that I've loved (many of these book are ARCs received from fellow authors).
Not to sound like the biggest bitch- but why is she writing a sequel to a book with a perfect ending 😭 I liked that we got snippets of them in other books but cmon now 😭 this is literally for the sake of having another adaptation
a sequel would be cute years ago but 5 years later???? after the movie???? why would you ruin a nice hea with unnecessary conflict in second book😿💔 bills can’t be that high
WDYM WE’RE GETTING A SEQUEL TO THE LOVE HYPOTHESIS?! And more importantly… WDYM WE GET MORE ADAM CARLSEN AGAIN?! 😭
I'm genuinely not prepared for this announcement. Like, excuse me??? You cannot just casually drop Adam Carlsen back into my life and expect me to act normal about it.
I thought I had made peace with having only one book of Adam. Apparently Ali Hazelwood said, absolutely not. THE ADAM CARLSEN. No synopsis needed. No reviews needed. No questions asked. Just take my money.
I guess at the end it's always about money 🤡 i love adam and olive so much but i am sorry i don't want her to create unnecessary conflicts between them when they clearly have a HEA and just because ali wants to make more money in 2026. I love her books but please stop this nonsense of writing unnecessary sequels
is no one going to talk about the title referencing the three-body problem by liu cixin? kinda surprised she even knows what that is tbh but i'm just an ali hazelwood hater
