From USA TODAY bestselling author Delores Fossen come three Sweetwater Ranch stories about meting out justice, Texas-style...
MAVERICK SHERIFF Texas sheriff Cooper McKinnon once had it all--until a tragic car accident changed everything. When he meets DA Jessa Wells, Cooper is shocked to discover her adopted little boy looks just like his son, whose body was never recovered. Now, with a new investigation opening old wounds, Cooper will have to work with the frustrating beauty if he's to reclaim the child he never gave up searching for.
COWBOY BEHIND THE BADGE Texas Ranger Tucker McKinnon steps out of the shower and gets the shock of a lifetime when he finds his old flame and newborn twins hiding out in his pantry. Although they have a troubled past, it's the still-simmering attraction that makes Tucker want to protect Laine Braddock and these babies she claims are in danger.
RUSTLING UP TROUBLE ATF agent Blue McCurdy never thought he'd forget the night he spent with Deputy Rayanne McKinnon--until a bullet wiped out his memory and left him for dead. Reuniting with the beautiful brunette only ratchets up the danger...especially when he learns she's carrying his child.

These three stories were not for me. I vaguely read them skipping through the book at lightning speed, catching all the important details, and it did not intrigue me one bit.
Delores Fossen & the Sweetwater Ranch Set - This is more then just a "cowboy" western story. It would be more contemporary, action adventure with the stories that evolve. However it does have cowboys, sheriffs, FBI, CIA a host of Hero's. 5 brothers, 2 sisters and an adopted brother - yep eight stories to tell. Don't like to solve mysteries or action suspense this is not for you. Like high paced, mystery and solving things and sizzling romance then this is for you.
1) Maverick Sheriff 0 5 STARS - Yep this is a book you just might call out of work and stay home curled up reading this one - you won't want to put it down. ADA Jessa too many cases any one person can handle. The First District attorney's case on her pile is prosecute the local town Sheriffs and the two brothers and father for obstructing justice & tampering with evidence. The estranged mother and 2 sisters and an adopted brother arrive on the ranch......... oh boy a family reunion with high tension and no love. The ADA Jessa however has to put that all aside since she is being run off the road and herself one thing the other is her adopted son and the sheriff is the "only blood match" (OMG your enemy is biologically a match to your son....it can't get worse then this right?) Murders, illegal adoptions, baby ring, murder, A definite on the seat of your pants book. It hooked me for all 8 books (yep buy the book set not individually like I did. Its like pringles you can't read/eat one).
2) Cowboy behind the badge - Tucker is one of the brothers and the town sheriff and Laine is the town psychologists so their paths will continue to cross. There is a mission to save two twin babies Jack and Jill for a baby ring. It is action packed intense trying to rescue the babies and not sacrifice lives while solving it. Not to mention Dysfunctional family matters....hot romance to boot.
3) Raynne is pregnant and wondering what the heck she was thinking 5 months ago - this will alter her entire life, career, future......... Agent under cover Blue comes out of undercover work when he hears there is a hit on Rayanne. The whirl wind of action and suspense begins. My thoughts at book three is why the hell is this not a movie series it has high pack action like the movie Taken and yet romance like - I can't even think of a good analogy. It is hot. What is not to like about this story. Usually after the first it fizzles out "the sequel" not here they just keep getting better & better.
4)Kidnapped in Kendall County - Rosallie endures shoot outs, twisted plots, revenge, kidnapping and this story will possibly move you to tears. You can't not read this one and not be moved. Just saying.......
5) The Deputy redemption - Colt and Eilsie were childhood friends then his parents reveal a "affair" and 23 years later his mother is accused of murder of her father. Not something you can "mend" in a relationship. Hell Colt knows that nothing could happen but he is beyond attracted to her. The Murder case puts these two with their love they can't pursue and the suspense of protecting one another families through this case will be high paced.
6) Reining in Justice - 5 STARs - Reed has divorced the love of his life because Addision wants to be a mom more then anything and he has too many fears and baggage to go down that road. What he doesn't know is that Addison used what they had at the infertility clinic to conceive their child through a surrogate and now her Emily is her big secret. Manipulation, murder, baby farm, a web of intrigue and suspense. each book has a mystery to solve and yet their is this "unsolved case over arching that carries through all 8 books but you don't have that "cliff hanger feeling". That I have to admit in itself is impressive - I HATE cliff hangers (i didn't get this feeling, each book is perfect & the ending - WOW!)
7)Surrendering to the Sheriff - Kendall a lawyer is trying to defend her half sister accused of murder. Kendall first kiss to Aidan stopped and went no further since its his father was murdered and it is Kendalls half sister Jewel who is accused of this crime. No mater how attracted they are their families will never tolerate that relationship. 12 weeks later a drink away your trouble only ads to kidnap, pregnancy, murders (more then one) and other secrets to be revealed........not stopping this action.
8) A lawman's justice - 5***** Romeo & Juliet could have learned a thing or two from these two. Its not enough to be in love but to build the families together. No easy when its a father murdered and your mother accused - a tough battle to band aide let alone marry into. The beginning of this book way intense and action packed - starts with a kidnapping and the murder, mystery and fighting off attraction is the right thing to do right? For the families? But what about what they want? Each book has a mystery & romance but it all meets up in this book with the brothers mother in jail and secretes "family secrets" left unspoken and family affairs and chaos of a ripped apart family all have to mend and move forward. Intense
