Tracey is the author of Hubble Bubble, Granny Trouble. She was born and grew up in industrial South Wales and now lives in a hidden valley in Gloucestershire with her husband, two children and an ever-increasing menagerie of devilishly-cute-but-sometimes-rather-naughty pets.
A trained teacher, Tracey has always had a passion for wonderful literature and began writing for children in 2006. Her books for other publishers include The Grunt and The Grouch series about two riotous trolls, and numerous picture books including “The Little White Owl.
Tracey’s head is happily crammed with countless ideas and stories and she’s loving the adventures that her characters insist they share…
Archie is a rhino with a LOT to say, and he has learned how to ask for MORE! Through the course of the story, Archie comes to learn that MORE isn't always best, although when it comes to friends, MORE is always good. Children love the illustrations, and Archie is a fun, relatable character.
This is a cute and ever so funny read showing how wanting more can be too much. I know parents and other family members can relate to younger children crying 'more!' Archie does/haves whatever 'more' he wanted, with clear outcomes pointing out how our desires don't have the result we necessarily expect. I giggled away at the bright and colourful pictures as the story unfolded, happy to be surprised at a few events including the end.
Otto always wants more of everything he likes... more ice-cream, more stories, more toys. When he gets an invitation to Robbie's costume party he wants his costume to be the biggest, tallest, and sparkliest. So he uses more cardboard, more tape and glue, and more glitter. Everyone agrees, Otto's costume is the biggest, tallest, and sparkliest. But Otto finds out he can't play or eat in his big costume. When he gets stuck in the bushes, his friends all work to get him out of his costume. Now Otto can have fun at the party with more friends!
3.75 Stars Sometimes more is just more! Otto wants more...bigger towers, more cupcakes, more accessories...but sometimes only time more is better..is when it means MORE FRIENDS! Fun cute pictures, nice story! Good message!
