Kristen Ashley

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA. She nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn't taken her first breath!).

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

🔸Ridiculously GOOD🔸

Rock Chick

Lee is a killer name.
Indy is a killer name.

Story wise we got a lot of action, but I did find the multiple kidnappings kinda repeating.
But saying that it was well written, hot & KA just write killer jealous possessive alpha protective men & it’s what I keep coming back for.
Indy was also a bit on the crazy irrisponsible side. And while that is what made it fun, I like it in moderation. I loved her “Lee manoeuvre” comments. Those were hella funny.

Rock Chick Rescue

I am trash for KA.
It’s as simple as that.

4.5 stars - Jet is so me.
Except the hot ass fuck Mexican-American love interest and no Dolly Parton lookalike and I don’t work in a titty bar but my shoe collection could totally use a drag queens magic. 😂
So not like 100% match.
But that’s not the point 😂
Come on, KA even wrote JUST JET. My ass is Just Josie!
The responsibly of helping a sick parent, and another parent who is well… not really been a parent.
She just ticked a lot of my own insecurities and responsibilities and I just really needed this now.
I could relate.
So much.
So yeah- this book deserves some love from me.

It’s so up there.
I have no idea why I can’t commit to 5😂
It was so good.
Just let me be difficult😂
I LOVED how Roxie confessed to “falling in love” with the crew. Because Roxie, I know the feeling.
Boy, do I know the feeling.
Action packed, thrilling, romantic, sexy & sweet.
So in love.

Well I loved these three books. the more I read the more I loved them. I laughed out loud many times
Indy and Lee are interesting. She's nuts, he's intense. Glad they finally saw what was in front of them.
Eddie and Jet was an insta kind of love. Ever the giver never the taker, Jet can't understand why the hot cop would be interested in her. Eddie saw it straight away and he did live in her head, knew exactly what she was thinking.
Ahh my favourite of these three books and characters so far would have to be Hank and Roxie. From the moment their eyes meet across the floor at the famous Fortnam's it's the beginning of the end for them both whether they know it or not, fate dealt a hand that day. What made it even sweeter was that crazy Uncle Tex saw it. Sweet, intense , hot cop Hank falls for Roxie but she thinks she's not worthy of him. Well she learns that's not the truth.
Onto the rest of the gang

Book one Rock Chick
I loved this book and the story. Everything about it was amazing but parts I was disappointed about firstly Lee could be a total dick at times and be very hard to like even with his smouldering sexy badass I'm macho and in change attitude.
My other complaint and the reason for 4stars is Lee's and Idie final get together after you've been tease within an inch of your sanity. It was left lot up to reader to image a sexy dirty things Lee had been promising to do to idie. Other than that I'm totally in love with this series and I'm only first book in. Can't wait for ally story.

Book two Rock Chick Rescue
I love this book. I really liked Eddie from start. Jet was the kind of girl next door that struggled with self confidant and image issues but my biggest issue with Jet is she was constantly finding a way out and believing itll end terribly. this went on for quite a lot of the book which after a while was getting old.
Eddie is hot sexy with beautiful eyes that make jet have Eddie daze which i found hilarious. Eddie is a police detective and does undercover so rule feel slightly different then they are with Hank.
Great story but did come a bit close to first story but still amazing. Really want to know more about Jane

Book three Rock Chick Redemption
I did loved this book even with Hank been my lease favourite Hot Bunch Guy.
These books are so much more then the rock chicks they are all about lee's guys and guys in each family as well. Roxie and Hank suited each other straight away and I love the 'talks' they have much like Eddie and jet. Really loved Annette would love to know more about her and Jason.

Rock chick #1
Lee and Indy, such a fantastic story, introduces some of the characters for the next few books too, strong group of friends who are hilarious and loyal.

This book is the first of an amazing series. It's about a group of men and women and how they get together.
Lee Nightingale runs an investigation business and his story is up first. Each book focuses on a different couple, they all have Alpha men and women who just won't do as they are told. KA's insight into how a relationship works is phenomenal. She sees both men's and women's POV in an argument, it's uncanny.
As the series progresses we are introduced to more of the group and also continue to find out how the couples we have already learned about are getting on.
It is a book about amazing friendships, loyal men who do not cheat, they find the woman for them and that is it no messing about, even if the said woman doesn't realise it yet.
Each book is full of action and extremely funny moments.
Each book has a similar format, the way the relationship progreese, the arguments, the fight etc but KA manages to give each Alpha male his own unique points and of course each heroine has her own issues.

Indy owns a coffee shop, which becomes the central meeting place for coffee and discussions on various problems, she and Lee have know each other growing up as their mothers were best friends. Indy had a big old crunch on Lee but Lee didn't appear interested. Now things have changed. Lee is amazing, he is loyal, he has built a business of loyal men and he wants Indy. An opportunity presents itself, or rather Indy presents an opportunity and he's not going to let it pass by.

Their relationship has many ups and downs and it's gorgeous to watch its journey. Another thing readers have said they liked is that these men and women are not teenagers they are a bit older, early 30's.

These men all have a high moral code on how you should treat a woman and do not tolerate any sort of abuse. I think this adds to the beauty of the book.

If you start this book and enjoy it you have a whole series to look forward to.

Rock Chick Rescue #2

Eddie and Jet, such an amazing story.

Emotional roller-coaster, Jet is a stunning character and she is so busy running around looking after everyone else, she crushes poor Eddie's ego when she doesn't have time for him, its hilarious.

We also catch up with Lee and Indy and the rest of their friends, we are introduced to Daisy who is a much loved character of the series.

The sister fight in Fortnum's is hilarious. We see a snippet of Mace, Marcus and of course get ready for the next book, Hank and Roxie.

Rock Chick Redemption

Roxie and Hank.

This book is quite Insta love. They meet and have strong feeling straight away but Roxie has issues with her ex, which she has a plan for.
There is quite a few emotional scenes, esp when they have a misunderstanding. We learn a bit more about Vance.
I really enjoyed it, Roxie has her own brand of crazy.

Take the things you might have liked about the Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich, remove all the annoying things that drove you nuts about it, add in a level of hot, alpha badassery that even Ranger Manoso would envy, and the kind of dialogue/sexy time that you would give any amount of treasure to have in real life and you have the Rock Chick series. These are people you'd be thrilled just to sit near in a coffee shop and wish you were related to, friends with or dating. I have lost count of the number of times I've reread each one and listened on Audible. And don't even get me started on Kristen Ashley's gift for the epic epilogue! Such closure! Although I'd take a full book about any of these characters into their elderly years. Hmm...future genre option??

These three books were amazing, the plots were completely insane and the boys moved so fast that I swear that I got whiplash. Holy guacamole. I can't wait to read the rest of the series, but these books may be for the older readers. Definitely not for the innocent.
