The concept of Discord having a mother.
I'm happy we got to really delve into Discord's psyche. There were a lot of great character moments in here that developed both luna and discord ("I'm not evil, princess. I'm chaotic. Not the same thing. I oppose order, not good.")
The reveal of what his TRUE fear is, is honestly such a great character moment that I wish it was in the show. "They care about me. I feel sorry for them" OUGHHHHH MY HEART. Luna's reflection in her letter also added a lot. Just a great installment overall. I love Discord reaching out to Luna to hang out and play cards in the end, their friendship is very sweet.
Also I can say Jeremy Whitley did a much better job of the mind-door exploration of a morally grey character than TADC did.

This is the first comic I've read from the Friends Forever micro-series and it didn't disappoint! Discord and Luna are an awesome and rare team up to see. Plus, seeing Discord's dreams was super twisted! Personally, my favorite thing about this was the fact that these are one-shot issues and are an awesome quick read. Besides, it was great seeing an issue that had Princess Luna as one of the main characters! We don't see much of her in the spotlight and that needs to change. She's such an awesome and conflicted character and is so easy for readers to relate to.
