~1 Coming in from the Cold {Dane "Danger" & Willow} 1.5 Stars
What a horrible pos the "hero" of this book was.

I gave it that extra half a star because I liked the beginning, before his dickishness ruined the middle and end.

~2 Falling from the Sky {Hank “Hazardous” & Dr. Callie} 4 Stars
This story was SO much better than the first and the only one I liked. The only real issue I had in it was with Hank's insensitive friend, Bear, hiring Hank's ex to be in the film he was trying to get Hank involved in and then bringing her around to places where Hank and Callie were? WTF!? I was thinking, "This clueless doofus is going to be our hero in the next book? Awesome!"

~3 Shooting for the Stars {Bryan “Bear” & Stella} 1.5 stars
Such a disappointment! The two main characters spent pretty much THE ENTIRE book avoiding each other. Bear's communication skills were non-existent. Stella was constantly feeling hurt by him, and he was constantly feeling guilty about one thing after another. It was frustrating and depressing, because they were both SO unhappy through SO much of this. When Bear finally did pull his head out of his ass, I just felt like, "Way too little. And much too late!". If it wasn't for Stella's moxie, I don't think this would've been worth even 1 star. I don't get why the author bothered to write this. Or why I bothered to finish it.

(Side Note: there was not one single mention of Hank's ex, Alexis, being apart of Bear's movie. Like it never happened.)

I went into this not realizing how much of the series was centered around illness and injury. And while I can appreciate when books tackle real life, that wasn’t what I was looking for here. I read to escape — and this leaned too heavily into bleak realism for me to enjoy.

Book one also includes one of my least favorite surprise tropes. If I’d known in advance, I wouldn’t have picked it up.

Book three was the strongest of the set and briefly made me think I might round up — until the male narrator kicked in. Emma Wilder was great, but Noel Harrison’s delivery was flat, robotic, and completely disconnected from the tone of the story. I couldn’t finish because his voice made my ears bleed.

If you like heavier emotional themes and don’t mind certain tropes or narration issues, this might still work for you. But for me, it missed the mark.

My Ratings Guide:
⭐️ – Not for me
⭐️⭐️ – Disappointing
⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Good/Solid
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Amazing
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Flawless/Unforgettable

Absolute perfection!

3 books in one! I enjoyed each story thoroughly. Sarina created a complex world surrounding these three couples. The emotional roller coaster, the banter, and the spice all mixed together to hit you right in the feels. Looking forward to reading more of Sarina's stories!

Loved the series

Loved these three books so much! Only thing I didn't like is that the 3rd book has so many typos it was very distracting. I hate to see that from such a great author.
