I've talked before about how my favorite of the MLP Comics was the Mirror World Arc. Well, my easy shoe-in for second place is Hope and Prince Sombra.

Not only is this arc objectively one of the most engaging, but it also introduces an entirely new pony (Hope), who serves as an incredibly complex "villain" that is objectively one of my favorite MLP characters (besides Princess Luna, of course).

I absolutely adore what the early MLP comics did with the villains, especially Sombra. I think he was perhaps the Whitley/Price/Breckel team's favorite... Not that I have a source for that, aside from the number of absolutely incredible comics that feature him.

pog, the original artist is back.

This is an interesting set up, as well: A bunch of random antagonists teaming up to take over the Crystal Empire. Looking forward to what happens next - and maybe it'll have some more Sombra backstory?
