And she isn’t afraid to tell Kane that she wants nothing to do with him.

With her best friend about to marry into the Kavanagh family, Nora has been resisting Kane’s shameless attempts at flirting for months. But after their undeniable chemistry finally takes over, leading to the hottest night of Nora’s life, she’s running scared. Now Kane’s out to prove that he’s ready for commitment by winning her heart—and he’s never lost a fight.

Becoming a Legend is the 3rd book in Sarah Robinson's Kavanagh Legends Series. This book can easily be read as a standalone. I have read and loved them all so far. I will be honest and say that I was hoping when I first seen a new Kavanagh Legends book on netgalley that it would be Quinn or Jimmy's book. They both piqued my interest. Kane was my least favorite brother so I felt a little disappointed that it was Kanes book. Funny that I ended up loving Kanes book more than the first two books! Kane was just so cocky, playful, charming and down right sexy. He snuck in and stole my heart. Nora won me over as well. She was so deep. There was just so many different sides to her. Nora was very likable and down to earth. I could totally understand the things she did and the reason she felt the way she did. I felt very connected to both of them.

Nora and Kane had tons of passion. They both had so much going on in their lives that they didn't really have time for a relationship, but they just couldn't keep their hands off each other. There was lots of steamy sexy time in this book and Kane was a beast. I loved the plot, the action and the backstories of this book. All of the Kavanagh family have such unique and cute personalities that they just add so much to the books. I believe Quinn's book is next and I truly can't wait to get my hands on his story. The little peeks of Quinn so far are just so good. I just know Quinn is going to be yummy! I also can't wait for Jimmy's book either and I hope that cousin Casey gets a book too! Great addition to the series.

I want every single string, kitty. I want your heart.”

How have I not read anything by this author before? What is wrong with me? Why am I starting this series with book 3? Well, at least I know the answer to the third question there, and that's because I like to do things back-asswards more often than not. As for the other two? I have no clue and I'm kicking myself for the mistake thoroughly because I seriously enjoyed this book.

As a reader that typically goes for the alphaholes and manwhores, it was a refreshing change of pace to get a nice guy. Kane Kavanagh has had the hots of his brother's girlfriend's best friend for some time and all he's gotten in return is her snark and disinterest. But Kane is not the playboy and batboy that he may come across as at first. Sure he's focused on his professional fighting career, but he's also loyal, sweet, and when the man sets his eyes on his goal, he'll stop at nothing to get it...and what he wants is Nora. Nora has been trying to resist Kane for months, but when she finally gets to see the man beneath the sex appeal and show, she realizes that there's a lot more to him than meets the eye.

Nora is a sweet girl that only ever wanted the love of her mother. Unfortunately her mother only ever cared about her herself and her next good time. Nora has been the adult her entire life and taking care of her mother is nothing new. She doesn't want Kane or his amazing family to know the depth of the trouble she's in or what her mother truly cost her, so avoiding Kane's attentions is more of a necessity than she admits to at first. But the fiery attraction between them soon proves too much of a temptation to resist. What first starts as a not strings attached means to appease the sexual tension between them, soon begins to turn into something much more meaningful.
She wanted Kane, but she didn’t want him on those terms anymore, and certainly not at his expense. She wanted either everything or nothing, and she needed to find a way to be okay with whichever outcome occurred.

Becoming a Legend was a wonderful combination of sweet and sexy. Kane, while a playboy in his recent years, knows a good thing when he's got it. And it's only Nora for him as soon as they get started. I loved that there was absolutely no other woman drama. Kane only had eyes for Nora and I adored the sweet side of him that came out around her. He was protective and possessive but without going overboard.

Nora was a fantastic heroine. All she's ever wanted was her mother's love and seeing the extents of her sacrifices for her was almost heartbreaking to read. This was a perfectly paced, sweet and heartwarming romance that I enjoyed from start to finish. There was just the right amount of sizzle with just the perfect splash of action to spice things up. I loved that there was no craziness with Kane and Nora's relationship. While the primary drama came from outside forces, it never felt like it was too much. It was the perfect addition to add an interesting plot line to the romance. If you're looking for a sweet and sexy hero and romance with just as much sizzle, then this is definitely a must read.

"Just remember, when you pick your woman, pick the one who makes you laugh when nothing is funny. The one who could make life great even if you were homeless and living under a bridge."
description

The Kavanagh brothers are back with a bang with Kane and Nora's story. Becoming a Legend, the third in the series, can certainly be enjoyed as a stand-alone and yet, I highly recommend reading the entire series from the beginning in order to enjoy every single solitary moment of this series from the beginning!

description
"...your family is pretty awesome."
The Kavanagh family is made up of one sassy Irish mother, a strong Irish father, and a crew of sexy Irish brothers. Rory Kavanagh, the eldest of the brothers, found love with Clare and runs the family mixed martial arts gym. Kieran Kavanagh, one of the Kavanagh twins, has claimed Fiona (and her younger sister Shea) as his and is working hard to help train his brother Kane so that he can win the championship fight of his life. Although Kane is training with expert precision, he can't help but keep his eyes set on Nora (Fiona's best friend). Nora has been a regular feature in the Kavanagh family shenanigans, and yet, she has carefully avoided any and all interactions with Kane to protect her heart. Kane wants to pursue Nora, but he knows he must stay focused on the championship fight to win and keep his professional career on track!

description
"This fight defined him, even if she saw him as so much more than a fighter."
Nora has many secrets, and although her main goal is to stay on track with school, she has some baggage that she has to deal with thanks to her mother. When the moment arrives for Kane and Nora to be alone, the physical attraction between them is too much, and they decide some "no strings attached" action is exactly what they both need to fix their addiction for each other. After the night of passion passes, both Nora and Kane realize they have feelings for each other. But can a troubled woman battling to overcome the disaster her mother has left in her wake and an MMA fighter prepping for the fight of his life find their way together?

description
"She wanted either everything or nothing, and she needed to find a way to be okay with whichever outcome occurred. She just wasn't sure how to do that."
Told in dual POV, Becoming a Legend offers a perfect blend of action, intrigue, romance, and sexy steam. Nora and Kane are well matched both physically and emotionally. The text, full of funny banter and quick wit, will keep you laughing the entire time. The transformation Nora and Kane make from friends to lovers to “so much more” is entertaining, tender, and a perfect addition to the Kavanagh Series. The most addicting element of this series is the entire Kavanagh family and how they remain loyal and will stop at nothing to protect their family at all costs.

Overall, I highly recommend Becoming a Legend to all of my fighter romance friends. This series is an absolute must-read, and Nora and Kane’s story is a perfect addition to the Kavanagh greatness. I discovered Sarah Robinson after reading the first book in the series, and from book one, I was hooked! I anticipate more greatness to come from this Irish clan and my Kindle, and I are ready and waiting for more!

Making All of It Real Stars
* * * * Spoiler Free
Sometimes looking in from outside...things can seem perfect...You can be friends with a terrific group of people...watch how all the brothers and sisters interact... wish their parents were yours...and not realize that these friends may have hurdles to overcome too...

In Sarah Robinson's latest addition to her Kavanagh Legends Series, we have two people who have total opposite support systems. What we learn through this read is each person has their own pressures and nothing is ever as it seems.

I have great affection for the fictional Kavanagh Clan. There are numerous brothers and a sister... their family has all the financial security they need and they are people who give back to their community. The hub is either the MMA Fighting Gym, Legends, or the Sunday family dinner table run by the mother. In order to enjoy this book, you do not have to read the previous ones...if there is a need to know a bit of backstory for other characters, snippets of quick info is woven through.

What we have is Kane, MMA up and comer. He is on track to take off if he beats his next opponent. Both of his other brothers never got the title...This is Kane's chance to prove his place in the family... to be more than a player...to be more than the other twin...Fighting is all he believes he knows ...so this goal and achieving it is everything.

Now Nora Hannigan's family life has been nothing like Kane's. Nora is a child who had to fend for herself and deal with a mother who was narcissistic. She was either caught up with a new man, gambling or both. This home life caused two things to happen with Nora...

The first was she became incredibly driven and strong. She was at the top of her studies earning that all important scholarship to complete her course work to have a professional career working with troubled youth. She is doing an internship now and has a full load of classes. She has her hands full.

Unfortunately, she is also juggling obligations left hanging from her mom. Nora has her plate full and in order to relax a bit, she hangs out with her friends who are either related to the Kavanaghs or part of the Kavanaghs.

Kane and Nora have a love/hate relationship. Nora always is pushing Kane's buttons, saying snarky argumentative things...She sees him as arrogant and a player. Kane loves pushing back and giving as good as he gets from Nora. He sees how cute and smart she is... he has had a bit of a thing for her for awhile. She on the other hand cannot deny he is built and everything a gal could want...it is just he says all of these things and acts so cocky....

Life throws them together in a number of ways and before you can say Kavanagh... Nora realizes there is so much more to Kane than he lets on...and Kane starts to feel like maybe Nora isn't so immune to him and has just as much interest as he does. Both do the possible couple dance and then have outside forces causing them to pull back. They both have important goals after all.

What is the most telling part of this tale is the insight to how each part of the couple can help the other...Nora needs to have someone make her feel like loving her is worth it... that she is worth the effort...Kane needs Nora to see he is not a caricature... he is sincere and invested in her. He also needs the validation from his family... that he counts and is of equal importance to the family as his siblings.

I have a soft spot for this series. I just love the way all of the family members look out for each other. All of them are straight shooters and if someone messes up... they will be called out for it... but they also will have 100% support and love, no matter what, too.

Kavanagh men are all hunks and know how to make their women happy...cough cough... we are privy to many ... many demonstrations of Kane and Nora being "Happy" with each other...

There are more brothers standing by and I have no clue as to which one is next... but I can guess, Ms. Robinson will make their stories just as strong and well done as all the others.

***4,5 "All-Strings-Attached!!!" stars***

OMG!!!! Literally, this series is getting better and better!!!!

I loved this particular book and i loved Kane very much... More than the previous brothers, even though that all of them were wonderful!!!
But I will wait for Quinn's turn because i have this feeling that his turn will be also great!!!!
The thing is that the Kavanaugh brothers are awesome and the same goes for their women!!!

But let me focus on Kane and Nora...

We took a glimpse about Kane and Nora in the previous book...

Nora was working with Keiran in the youth center and she was Fiona's best friend and Kane was Keiran's twin...
Between them, there was bad blood, or not???
Kane is flirting all the damn time with Nora and Nora is irritated by his attitude!!!

So, they appear that they are hating each other, but is that right???

"After months of snarky comments and scathing replies, there was now silence between them.
And it spoke volumes."

Kane is the third child in the family and he was always feeling like he was coming last among his brothers... After Rory and Keiran's end on the cage, he had stepped up and he is determined to be a Legend in the MMA fighting...

After all, he is Kane "The Killer" Kavaunagh and he will prove his worth to everyone!!!
All his world is spinning around this upcoming fight for the championship and he's not going to let anything to distract him from his goal!!!

"Fighting was all Kane knew how to do...
This championship was his opportunity to do something his brothers had tried—and failed—to do.
And he didn’t want anything getting in the way."

Nora is always so serious and her plate is very full at this moment...
She is working at the youth center, she is on college, she has loads of study to do and she had serious problems because of her mother... She doesn't need Kane or anyone else to get into her way and turn everything upside down....

And not only that, but her serious problems could become Kane's problems too and she doesn't want to complicate his life even more....
After all, she doesn't like him at all!!!!

"She refused to let the romantic air between them feel like more.
They didn’t like each other. They’d had sex. Amazing sex. They still didn’t like each other.
End of story."

But then, she is seeing a different side of him and she just can't stay away from him...
Neither he can!!!
So what will happen with the two of them???

Together they are so good, but neither of them need any distractions in their lives and they are exactly that for each other....
Will they stick in their plans or will they reevaluate what they want and need in life???
Success or love is worthying more???

“Anchor yourself to me, Nora. Nothing else. Only me.” {Kane}

"She wanted either everything or nothing, and she needed to find a way to be okay with whichever outcome occurred. She just wasn't sure how to do that." {Nora}

I really loved Kane...
From the previous books, he seemed very cocky, overly confident, very flirty with bad pick up lines and very friendly with all the women around him....

But in here, we discovered a different side of him and i really liked what we saw...
He was very kind, thoughtful, determined, gentle and in combination with his cocky self, he was just... perfect!!!
I liked very much the way he was treating Nora and even though that he didn't admit it, he was in love with her from the first moment...

“I want every single string, kitty. I want your heart.”

I also liked very much Nora...
She was worthying so much and it was very unfair that because of her mother, she was thinking so low about herself!!!

She was having a big heart and she had so much love inside of her...
Kane made her see what she was really worthying and she needed this discovery...
She also was a little bit of delusional about her feelings for Kane... but thankfully, she realized her mistake very soon!!!

"Despite her heart’s warning for her to be cautious, this man was making his way into her life and seemed to have no plans to leave. And she didn’t want him to."

As for the rest of the Kavanaughs???
They were all of them amazing for once again...

I like that we are seeing them to get on with their lives and I can't wait to learn everything about the rest of the brothers!!!
And Sarah??? I wouldn't say no to a book about Casey, as well!!! I really want to read her story too!!!

"He kissed the woman he loved enough to give up everything for.
The woman who’d loved him enough not to let him."

Out of all the books in the Kavanagh Legends series, this is my favorite. Becoming A Legend is about Fiona's best friend, Nora Hannigan and Kieran's twin brother, Kane Kavanagh.

The love-hate relationship between them is fascinating. I can't help smiling whenever they exchange witty banters and later on leads to a steamy romance. These two have priorities in life and they don't have time to engage in relationships because it will distraction on their goals. With Nora finishing her Psychology degree, maintaining her grades to qualify on scholarship, working to sustain her needs and keeping up with her mother, who hasn't been good to her and has gambling problems. While Kane is busy training for upcoming fight and aims to win for his family.

The pressure is on but they remained passionate and motivated when it comes to their careers. As they spend more time together, Nora sees beyond Kane's reputation of being a player. He's a lovely man and she's slowly falling for him. Likewise, Kane finds her sweet, kind and strong instead of a grouchy and guarded woman. I'm engrossed with their story and I love how they matutely handled their issues. The sexual between them is so good and hot! Kane is really an attentive lover. For the love of Irish men. Irish. Hot. Men.

If you are looking for novels with hot MMA fighters, I recommend this series. It's really good and the Kavanagh family is awesome. I am looking forward for Quinn's book. ;)

Becoming a Legend was a good read.
I enjoyed the storyline and the characters entertained me with their romance.

I loved watching Kane and Nora get together, they made me laugh and swoon with their antics.

"Her eyes flickered down to his lips, then back to meet his gaze. “Let me guess, you’ll quiz me, and for each wrong answer I give, I’ll have to take off something I’m wearing?”

“Hell, Kitty," Kane said. "I was genuinely offering to help, but your idea is so much better. Let’s go with that.”"

They were likable and relatable characters, they had a strong attraction/connection and the chemistry was off the charts!
I had no doubt these two would have a long and happy life together.

Another great time with the Kavanaghs!

I love this MMA fighting family with brothers and parents who stick together through thick and thin. This is the third outing and Kane and Nora are giving in to the flirting buildup. If you’ve read this series at all than these characters will be familiar and already loved. Kane is dedicated to his sport which hides a surprisingly quiet and shy man beneath the bravado. Nora has proven to be a true friend already to the Kavanagh family. She has resisted him up until now but even her defenses can’t hold out against all that charm… Their journey is full of heat and passion, angst and upheaval – as well as all the quirkiness that comes with a big, rambunctious, nosy, interfering and delightful family!

Slick & Kitty's reviews posted at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

Slick's 5 star review
I'm a sucker for series that revolve around a family and Sarah Robinson's Kavanagh Legends has been spectacular. The enemies to friends to lovers angle, a high stakes fight hanging in the balance, a bit of suspense, and the Kavanagh family doing what they do best-- kicking a$$ and taking names made Becoming a Legend my favorite in the series to date!

Kane Kavanaugh has always felt like he just didn't measure up to his siblings, but he's been training hard and the upcoming championship fight will help him finally feels he has a place in his family. What he doesn't expect is the distraction that comes in a small package, his twin's fiancée's best friend, Nora Hannigan. Nora who has spent the past year ignoring him and busting his chops at every turn, Nora who spends one night in his bed and disappears the next day, Nora who is in danger trying to help her mother, Nora who makes him want things he never thought he wanted, and Nora the one he's willing to give up his dreams to make sure she fulfills her own.

Seriously, I don't think I could have loved this story any more, Kane is one of those heroes that makes me swoon because even when he makes an unpopular decision it haunts him and when he realizes exactly what he wants he goes for it fully and completely. I loved this character so much and to be honest I wasn't sure I would because previously he came off kind of self centered, aloof, and even at times a bit mean, but everything about him hit all of my buttons and I am firmly in Kane's corner from here on out. Nora's tenacity really made me enjoy her character a great deal; she was dealing with an impossible situation and doing the best she could do to make it work. My heart hurt for her various times throughout this book for various reasons, but I loved that she didn't hold on to her hurt and anger, she really had a forgiving heart.
I can't finish up this review without mentioning the entire Kavanagh family and their significant others, this family plays hard and loves fiercely and at the end of the day they are there for one another through good times and bad.

Becoming a Legend was a knockout in every sense of the word; it was exciting, it was fun, and it was sexy, but more than that it was about love and respect and learning that sometimes letting someone in your life makes everything a bit bigger and brighter.

Kitty's 5 star review
The Kavanagh’s true colors and spirit were wonderfully depicted in the third Kavanagh Legends book by Sarah Robinson. She gave us an emotionally packed, hard hitting story about love and how much it can influence the way we act, the way we feel and how it can truly heal us. Kane Kavanagh and his quest for the MMA title brought out the best in Kavanagh family and showed a certain woman what it was like to be truly loved and cared for. Once you are claimed by a Kavanagh, your life will never be the same.

Kane was, to my surprise, insecure about his place in the family. He felt that winning the MMA title was the only way to gain the respect of his family. He never realized just what he meant to them, what they gave to him. His eyes were opened as he went into the championship fight and his heart was opened by the one woman that he has been chasing after for months. It was time for him to take his rightful place in the family and to claim his woman. Kitty was his to love and protect and no one would stand in his way of winning it all.

Nora has been putting off Kane Kavanagh since the day that she met him. She needs to keep her life on tract, needs to finish her degree, needs to keep her secrets, secret. But, Kane has a way of wearing her down, of showing her that there is more to him than the womanizer she thinks he is. As he finds out all her secrets, her heart cannot stay closed to him and she finally gives in to her true feelings. But, she can’t let him lose everything for her. She needs to stay away, let him train, let him forget about her since everyone else in her life has. She’s used to people putting her second so letting Kane do it shouldn’t be too hard. Until fight week-end in Vegas when the threat comes knocking on their door and they find that the only thing that really matters is love. Now, they need to depend on each other. And ... the whole Kavanagh Clan.

Again, Sarah Robinson pulled me into the MMA ring and didn’t let me out until I tapped out. She made it easy though. She wrote two wonderful characters with flaws of their own. One insecure and one who felt like she was second best. She showed us how love could fix those flaws and make them to the people that everyone around them knew that they were. She showed us just how wonderful and supporting family can be … how they will be there through thick and thin; how they will be there to support you and to celebrate with you. There were times that the story was heart-wrenching, times that I wanted to slap them both up-side the head, times that I wanted to cry and times that I out-right cheered. Sarah Robinson brought out all my emotions and then gave me ending that I was hoping I would get.

3.5 "might have been better" stars

*sigh*
Damn, i wanted to like this story more but these factors made me reluctant in doing that:

Push and pull.
Ok, usually I'm all for a little flight/chase action, it gives a certain "spice" to the angst and anticipation.

Here, it was a bit annoying and that set me back...

So the story goes smth like this:

He (Kane) is a fighter preparing for the Championship fight and that's all he's set his efforts on...until he decides to play a little bit hanky panky with Nora, a girl whom he's known from the similar crowd of friends and family...
She has plans, finish college, and working/paying off her mother's gambling debt (now, that fuckin character is not even worthy of mentioning but there you have it...she's part of a plot, pffft)

Anyway, they both agree to a "no-strings attached or one night stand" tension release...until they want more of that...

And then begins the most excrutiatingly painful thing called "getting on my nerves"

Cause their constant shit spewing: "I want you, i need you...but i really cant be with you right now...but i still want you, you know we are more than just a one night stand...but i'm not doing the relationship kinda thing..."

Now, that was wearing me off...just fuck off!!! Either be with the girl or dont!

Secondly, the annoying dormat of an heroine. *sigh*

Ok, i understand that not all of us, fuck, i mean characters, can be badasses, tough and firm with their beliefs.
But for fuck's sake, please, please stand up for yourself...

Even if it's your own family member putting you down. Hell, it s not like you can escape the connection, cause you're blood and all..but that really doesnt mean you should let them step on you, just because they try to and therefore can do it, you actually give them the power to do it again, and again...
There's no respect there...and there's no way you'll find love in those actions...
So, be smart...use your brain...for once

And dont just take anyone's shit...

Ahhh, well i guess, the whole thing just didnt sit right with me...*shrugs*

I enjoyed this book. And I appreciated the idea that it is possible to be atttracted to someone, and yet at the same time be in a place in your life where the addition of a relationship is an issue. Life happens, and often in romance novels, the reality is set aside for the flutters of love for the characters. It really appealed to me that this reality, for both Nora and Kane, was addressed and had an impact. I did believe the choices they would make, and I think that it made them both more human and more compelling for their difficult choice.

I thought the pacing of this was strong, as well as the writing, which was also strong with good dialog and no points where I felt the characters were speaking oddly or out of character in any way. I found both of them appealing and realistic and I liked who they were as people, not just as characters.

I do recommend this book. It has a lot of depth that not only keeps it interesting but moves the story along smoothly.

Full disclosure: I read the 2nd in this series and did not like it. My review and rating for this other book reflect this. Generally, this means I don't read the others. In this case, the author was gracious, reached out, and said she hoped I would read the next one. So I did.

Another good installment to this series. I liked Kane a great deal, even if it took him a while to get his head out of his butt and admit his feelings. I liked Nora and the way she handled situations at the center for kids, but her mommy issues bugged me. I am more of a 'if you don't like me, leave me the hell alone' person, so it's hard for me to connect with Nora doing so much to earn her mom's (nonexistent) love and attention. But she was still a great girl. Kane was willing to sacrifice a whole lot for Nora in the end and it just improved my view of him a lot. The sexy time was hot and you didn't have to wait long for it. You also get to catch up on wedding planning and stuff with the previous books' couples, which was nice. The book was 3 stars, but I'm putting 4 because although I rated the previous 2 books 3 stars as well, something gets me excited about continuing this series, so I think that deserves an extra star.

I just could not get into this story. I don't k is if it was because I didn't read the others or it just wasn't for me.

The writing was great that wasn't the problem. I would get all the brothers mixed up there was so many people to keep up with. I liked the aspect of working with kids. Kane was a great guy underneath is bravado.

Everyone else liked it it just didn't do it for me.

BOOK REVIEW: Becoming a Legend
BOOK SERIES: Kavanagh Legends #3
AUTHOR: Sarah Robinson
GENRE: Sports Romance
PUBLICATION DATE: December 13, 2016
CLIFF HANGER: No

4 Stars

*This story is for mature audiences only. Contains explicit scenes and language intended for adults 18+

SYNOPSIS:
From the author of Saving a Legend (“A deep and moving story about family, acceptance, and love.”—Katy Evans) comes another smoldering MMA romance featuring the Kavanagh brothers, the chiseled alpha males whose real legacy is love.

Kane Kavanagh has always had one goal: being the best mixed martial arts fighter alive. With the MMA National Championships in Las Vegas fast approaching, the man they call “Killer” has no intention of letting anyone or anything get in his way. Somehow, though, a feisty opponent has slipped beneath his guard—and stolen his heart. Fiery and passionate, Nora Hannigan is harder to pin down than any rival Kane has faced in the ring.

There’s a lot about her life Kane doesn’t know, and she won’t be responsible for ending his career. Now Kane’s out to prove that he’s ready for commitment by winning her heart—and he’s never lost a fight.

MY THOUGHTS:
Great book and wow what a sexy book cover! I love the Kavanagh family dynamic. It is a close knit Irish family that will support you, but will also tell you like it is! Kane is at the top of his game and ready to fight in the MMA National Championships, but something is missing. He watches his brothers with the loves of their lives and he wants that, but doesn’t have time for that, he has to focus on his career.

Nora is the best friend to Fiona. Fiona is engaged to Kieran, Kane’s twin brother. Yes, I know, sticky situation, as Kane has been trying to flirt with Nora for months and she just blows him off with her wicked banter. Nora hides her desire for Kane, but doesn’t trust him, he’s a player. Until one night, she gives up fighting her desire for Kane and it’s the best night of her life. She has never felt as cherished and sexy in her life. As true to Nora’s character, she gets the heck out of there before Kane wakes up. They agreed this was a no strings attached encounter, or was it?

Nora has a past and is keeping a big secret, even from her best friend Fiona. She is working on her doctorate in psychology and isn’t supposed to be working because she is on scholarship, however she is working herself to the bone to financially make it. She works at a Hooter’s type restaurant as well as putting in hours at the community center working with kids as mandated by her scholarship. She can never let anyone know where she works, she could lose her scholarship and she worries what would they think of her working in a place like that, but the tips were great. She had no choice she needed the money. Then Kane showed up.

The chemistry between Kane and Nora was scorching. They had an electric connection that couldn’t be denied, they both agreed to sex with no strings, they also agreed no feelings involved, like that works! There is a lot of push and pull between them and between their family and friends. There is suspense, twists and turns, and secrets that were so carefully guarded that are eventually revealed. I won’t tell you anymore because you need to read the story for yourself.

I highly recommend this great sports romance and I look forward to the next story in the Kavanagh Legends!

Becoming a Legend is the third book in the Kavanagh Legends series. It can be read as a standalone and you will not be lost or confused. It was my first book and it will not be my last! I love series that involve siblings and if you do too, then you should definitely read this series.
Becoming a Legend is Kane’s story, and I have to say that I loved him immediately. But it was really easy to love him. He is an MMA fighter, with the arrogance to go with it, but there is so much more to him than what meets the eye. I love that you get to see that he has a soft side and is actually shy and unassuming when it comes to his giving side. It is that side of him that Nora sees, and one of the reasons she doesn’t give him the time of day, but that is hard considering her best friend is marrying his twin brother. They are forced together a lot, and they can’t seem to not argue every time they are around each other. But, what Kane doesn’t know is it taking everything in Nora not to give into his flirty advances. I really enjoyed Nora’s character too! She’s a strong, independent, feisty girl. She is dealing with so many things in her life, but doesn’t ask for help.
Kane and Nora finally give into their attraction to each other and boy was it hot. They had so much chemistry, but they still got in their own way of happiness. They decide to have sex with no-strings, and we all know how that goes. They both have so many commitments, secrets and just lack of communication that it takes them awhile to figure out their crap. Can they get out of their own ways and have their happily ever after?
I can’t wait to read more of Sarah Robinson’s books. Once I started the book I did not want to stop. I loved how she brought the other characters into the story. It just made the book that much better for me. I am ready for the rest of the brother’s books!

I got the ARC of this book from the lovely author through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review, and I have to say that I was going a bit back and forth with my rating for this story... but ultimately I decided on full five stars :) I was thinking about taking 0,5 star from it, but... well... in the end, I just couldn't do it :) did I agree with everything the main characters did in this book? nope :) but Sarah created such real and honest people, that even when I didn't agree with them, I couldn't help but understand why they acted in a certain way :) so let me tell you a bit more about this fantastic book :)

So I'm gonna start with that main couple :) Kane is an MMA fighter, preparing for the championship fight that's gonna happen in a few months... he is very determined and focused to win, but make no mistakes, he's not that serious about everything in his life ;) he is quite the charmer... ;) at least when he wants to be... ;) sometimes he likes to say certain things to provoke certain people... especially Nora ;) because they actually met before this book :) at this point, I feel the need to say that even though this is book #3 in a series, it works perfectly well as a standalone, because you get all the necessary informations, and you can easily follow the plot and all the connections betwen characters :) soooo, back to our couple :) they met a few months before, and of course Kane immediately hit on her, and she turned him down... ;) and ever since, they have this sort of... spark between them that sometimes may be mistaken for irritation ;) of course that is until one day she sees him in a bit different light... realizing that maybe he's more than this arrogant fighter that she originally thought he is... :) and once that doors are open, well... it's pretty hard to go back to what was before... :) what I had initial problems with, is this sort of push-and-pull between them... usually, I'm not the biggest fan of those types of relationships... but they were pretty honest about how neither of them really have the time for a true relationship... both of them had quite a lot on their minds... and to be honest, even though normally I don't really get that sort of relationships, in this case, it worked... I think it's because of Sarah's phenomenal writing style :) she wrote them as such raw and real characters, that even though sometimes they really frustrated me, I couldn't help but feel for them at the same time... she made me really understood why they were making certain decisions, even though I didn't agree with them... and that truly is a talented author :) it was so rewarding to see how they overcome the obstacles standing in their way :) I don't want to share too many details about their journey, because I don't want to spoil you certain things, but damn... theirs was a story that definitely made me feel all the feels... *sighs happily* :)

Now let me tell you a bit more about the secondary characters :) and since there were A LOT of them, I'm not gonna name everyone :) what I will say, is that I can guarantee, that if you haven't already, you will fall in love with the Kavanagh family :) because those brothers... *sighs* ;) there are of course parents and a sister there as well, but who am I kidding, those brothers... *sighs again because once is just not enough* ;) this was my second book about them... and right now a lot of you might be thinking "wait, second book? isn't it book #3 in this series?" and yes, you are correct... it's just that I still haven't read the first book... *hangs my head in shame* I know, I know... but it WILL happen... at some point :) my tbr #BookMountain is ginormous, but it's in there somewhere :) now where was I...? oh, right :) the more I get to know this family, the more I adore all of them :) it was sooo lovely to see couple from the previous book... and to be honest one of the most adorable and emotional scenes in this book included them :) but ssshhhh... no more details about that, I will leave it as a surprise :) but worry not, like I mentioned before, all the books work perfectly well as standalones, although I can guarantee that once you read one of them, you'll want to get your hands on the rest of them :) because yes, this family is that awesome ;)

I absolutely love Sarah's writing style, but I have a special place in my heart for this series :) the characters, all the connections and interactions between them just make me want to sneak inside the book and be a part of their group for a day ;) they love and support one another but they also tell the harsh truth when you need to hear it :) and even though I did had my share of troubles with certain decisions that our main characters made throughout the story, ultimately, I understood them... not to mention that the ending made up for everything... I loved how real it was, how the whole book showed that there are consequences to our actions, but we don't have to face them alone... that when you have a support system, like your friends and / or family, you should trust them to help carry your burdens... *sighs* the more time passes from me finishing this book the more I'm loving it :) the more I think sbout how Sarah created our main couple, the more I appreciate all their flaws and imperfections :) that 5 stars rating was definitely a good decision on my end :) if you haven't already, be sure to give this book, and this series in general, a try, because if you don't know the Kavanagh family, you are missing out on some really amazing stories :)

XOXO

The initial banter between the main characters was cute but I didn't care for their relationship or how the heroine handled her big secret. Both made her look so weak, the total opposite of her career path. She made the story unbelievable and I skimmed the second half but I did finish. Student Nora and MMA fighter Kane run into each other at a party for her best friend and his twin brother.

Book Review: 5 Killer stars

-it may contain small spoilers of the book and the previous two of the series!!!-

These Kavanagh brothers with each book prove more and more to be a God’s-gifts-to-women and almost impossible for every of-the-female-species person on this planet to resist them. Seriously, Sarah might be some kind of witch because, except that she keeps creating better-than-the-previous-one BBFs, I still can’t decide which one is the best; maybe perhaps THERE ISN’T A ONE!

… she wanted to know every inch of him.

Becoming a Legend is the 3rd part of the irresistible Kavanagh Brothers series; the series with few of the most perfect MMA-fighter book boyfriends exist out there. This time we get to learn how Kane “Killer” Kavanagh, Kieran’s (Saving a Legend) twin and the middle child of the Kavanagh pact, fell in love with Fiona’s (Saving a Legend) BF, Nora. And God, what a story!! Kane is being coached by his bigger brother Rory (Breaking a Legend) so he can win the MMA Championship and become the one sibling who finally gets to become a pro fighter. But he never saw coming Nora and turning his world upside down in a blink of an eye. These two has been backerring for months now, going around and around flirting each other but never go beyond that. That until the point this thread breaks…..

The sexual chemistry that flows between them, both in and out of bed, is off the charts and sizzling hot. And mind that this description is lacking a dozen degrees above. But along with their chemistry, is tagged the deep turned-into-love feelings both were experiencing every time they were in the same room or intimate and never had the guts to admit. And they were one of those moments that actually could feel too the intensity and powerful love running through their veins. My heart was getting warmer and warmer – and let’s not get me started on the swooning – with every chapter that was passing by where Kane and Nora were coming closer and closer.

“I want every single string, kitty. I want your heart.”

There are two things that stood out the most to me while I was reading it. The first was Nora’s mother. My soul and body was hurting for her because of the trauma she was experiencing over and over again every time she showed up in her life. And thank God for Kane’s timing since his appearance truly saved Nora and put her through a much needed format of her inner self. The second moment – and in my eyes the highlight of this book – was the whole scene in the end; from the moment Kane opened his hotel room’s door until Kane’s fight was over. The way his heart and his mind both knew instantly the final decision on the dilemma he was facing, spoke volumes and showed what pure gold really he was made of.

He was going to win this, and it would be for that voice.

As for the amazing evolutions on Rory & Clare and Kieran & Fiona, I have no words. Especially what the last two ended up do for their special day, had me jumping on my bed like a 5-year-old waking up ready to open his Christmas presents. Honestly, these two will never cease to amaze me to no end and always catch me by surprise. And it felt so so good to have the chance to devour Shea and Ace moments in this book too. This little girl and dog has become my soft spots of this series.

And just like I said in the beginning, Sarah Robinson did it again with these incredibly boys and their women. What else there is for me to ask of her beyond “Keep doing what you’re doing!!!!!”, huh? I really can’t wait for more of these three couples in the next book which I hope like hell to be about Quinn because that Kavanagh brother has intrigued me to no end.

With hopes the third time would be the charm, I delved into Becoming a Legend, my third ARC of this series. Overall, it was a more enjoyable read for me than the previous two books. For those of you who are looking for a back and forth loaded with relationship angst/MMA themed romantic tale featuring a hero who has put his entire focus/self-worth in training to win the title that has eluded his older brothers, but ultimately realizes he has nothing without his lady love, you might want to consider this one. You will also get a sweet, likable, just wants to be loved/damsel in distress/at times a doormat heroine.

**mild spoilers possible**

One big selling point for me was the close knit family that shared the center ring with the main couple, Nora and Kane. This likable Irish fighting MMA family definitely worked as a team to get him where he was today. With subplots revolving around Nora’s family drama and two simultaneously unfolding wedding nuptials, there were times the main couple romance became more of an underlying theme. Since Nora and Kane weren’t a real couple, as in actually dating, that somehow seemed to fit.

Yes, I said that correctly, folks. That is an aspect my avid true romantic at heart book-loving friends may struggle with. Kane pushing Nora away, so he could solely focus on training, and them just being friends with benefits throughout most of the storyline lead to a lot of relationship angst. Nora not wanting to drag Kane or his family into her problems had her keeping him at bay, as well.

What about the writing? Well, I definitely appreciate the fact the author did not turn our handsome, good guy hero into an OTT crass/raunchy MMA character just to make him appear alpha macho. This band of brothers were tough but they had class, folks. Seamus, former mob connected papa, and Dee, their Irish mama, made sure of that. When talking about Nora’s youth center, I did feel the writing at one point became sing-songy and a little too Pollyanna-ish. At times it would switch from sugary sweet to very graphically smexy with lusty language. Then it seemed to flow consistently well. So, yeah, if you haven’t guessed from the sexy, well muscular endowed, shirtless hero book cover, this is definitely an adult only read. It started early on, tapered off dramatically, then the smexy scenes became quite numerous.

The next book, Chasing a Legend, will release some time in 2017. It’s main couple has not yet been released.

P.S. I'm not sure what's up with the book cover. Seriously, what is that guy looking at? His amazing abs or..well...something else?

Title: Becoming a Legend, Series: Kavanagh Legends (Book 3), Author: Sarah Robinson, Pages: 224, Pub. Date: 12/13/16, stand-alone but part of a series, VERY steamy scenes early on that taper off then pick up again, lusty language, reluctant to commit good guy hero, no cheating, no love triangle, no OW/OM drama, hero saves the day, starts off as friends with benefits, damsel in distress/just wants to be loved heroine, doormat at times heroine, HEA.

Nadine's 4 star rating

This is the third book in the Kavanagh series and we get Kane Kavanagh & Nora Hannigan story...yes! These two have been butting heads since Killian, Kane's twin, and Fiona, Nora's Best Friend, got together in Saving a Legend. I had loved watching these two go at it and knew their story would be a good one and I was not disappointed at all.

Becoming a Legend (Kavanagh Legends #3) by Sarah Robinson

This story had a couple of twists that were unexpected but overall it added to the character of both Kane and Nora. The bad boy gets the good girl in this sexy, sweet, story of two people finding love when they weren't even looking for it.

Becoming a Legend (Kavanagh Legends #3) by Sarah Robinson

We have two Kavanagh brother's left to get their story, Jimmy & Quinn, and maybe we will be lucky enough to get a third book about their cousin. I hope we won’t have to wait too long to get our hands on them. All of the Kavanagh men are strong, protective, loving and most of all caring; you can tell a lot about a man in the way he treats his mother and these boys worship the ground their momma walks on.

Reviewed for: Where the NightKind Roam

I was really looking forward to reading Becoming a Legend by Sarah Robinson. I had read the second book in the series and really loved it. While I did enjoy this book it didn't quite live up to the second book. Saving a Legend was deeply emotional with well developed characters that you couldn't help but love. Becoming a Legend features Kane and Nora who we were set up for in the second book. Kane threw Nora cheesy pick up lines and Nora deflected them and him like a pro. In the second book and the beginning of this book there was great sexual tension. Neither wanted a relationship but the sexual tension was getting to both of them so they agreed to a FWB type of situation but before either of them knew it more was developing.

The romance isn’t really where I had issues with this book. That was probably the best part of the book. Where I had issues was with Nora and Kane themselves. Kane, I liked more than Nora, but even he had his spoiled middle child syndrome going on. He’d whine about how his family basically left him out to dry and how he was all alone. Which made me want to smack him up on the side of the head, thankfully this came up very rarely and his eldest brother put his ass in check. Now Nora, here was my biggest issue. Her mommy issues were distracting to say the least. I just wanted to shake her and scream you’re a smart grown women and you’re letting your loser mom wreck your entire future. I bet if she had just gone to the cops from the get go all would have been good but nooooo she decided to take on her mom's problems to her own detriment. And it wasn’t all the plausible to begin with. So in the end Im not sure I ever truly warmed up to Nora. I wanted to but she just left me mehh.. Maybe if I hadn’t had high expectations I would have liked this one more but instead it was just good or ok instead of great. I am however confident that there will be lots of great reviews on this book and many, many people will end up loving it.

I loved this particular book and i loved Kane very much... More than the previous brothers, even though that all of them were wonderful!!!
But I will wait for Quinn's turn because i have this feeling that his turn will be also great!!!!
The thing is that the Kavanaugh brothers are awesome and the same goes for their women!

This is book three in the Kavanagh series and it is middle brother Kane's book. Kane is in training for the MMA Championship in Vegas . He doesn't want to get tied down with anything or anyone but Nora his brothers fiancée's best friend . Keeps getting under his skin as much as he tries to ignore his feeling . She is there but its not all what it seems . She keeps pushing him away but when the heart wants what the heart wants . There is no denying it .

I really liked the characters in this book they are all strong complex characters . Kane is the kind of guy that you see everywhere . The guy that wants no strings and isn't looking for a long term. He is the middle child and also a twin so we see him as kind of the forgotten one . He is trying to prove to everyone that he is as good as his brothers . But as you dive deeper into the story you see him evolve and grow as he gets to know Nora. Nora is sassy and sweet all rolled into one gorgeous girl . But she does have her secrets that she wants no one to find out about . She rebuffs Kane's advances for such a long time . You see her fight her desires all the way through this book. You actually can feel the heat between these two characters when they are together . The rest of the Kavanagh clan are back and plotting and supporting these two as they make their way to each other.

This book had me up all night I just couldn't put it down . Sarah outdid herself with this one . The characters are well written and the story moves at a fast pace . I like how the author brought back all the other characters from her other books to be part of this one . They made the book a fun read .

This was a fast read and really enjoyed this one. I must say Kane is by far the funniest and sweetest brother out of them . So if you want a good read that has love and some mystery and intrigue . Check out BECOMING A LEGEND by Sarah Robinson
