Various is the correct author for any book with multiple unknown authors, and is acceptable for books with multiple known authors, especially if not all are known or the list is very long (over 50).

If an editor is known, however, Various is not necessary. List the name of the editor as the primary author (with role "editor"). Contributing authors' names follow it.

Hey, come on, no need to be so upset about piloting the Pillar of Autumn, Keyes. Trust me, it's a great vessel, that thing, and you will grow to love it all in due time. And even then, if you don't like it, you can just wait until the start of Halo 1, where that thing gets blasted down and completely destroyed...... you'll probably be happy that that happened. Also, speaking of Halo 1, isn't that where Master Chief first met Cortona canonically? If so, then how is he meeting her and training with her for the first time here? I dunno, there's probably some revisionist history going on here... it can't possibly be because I forgot a plot detail about the Halo series, surely!
