Stan Lee (born Stanley Martin Lieber) was an American writer, editor, creator of comic book superheroes, and the former president and chairman of Marvel Comics.
With several artist co-creators, most notably Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, he co-created Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, Thor as a superhero, the X-Men, Iron Man, the Hulk, Daredevil, the Silver Surfer, Dr. Strange, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Scarlet Witch, The Inhumans, and many other characters, introducing complex, naturalistic characters and a thoroughly shared universe into superhero comic books. He subsequently led the expansion of Marvel Comics from a small division of a publishing house to a large multimedia corporation.
Very early appearance of the Green Goblin (GG). First appearance of the Crime Master (CM). Spidey has lost his costume and is trying to find a way to get a new one. GG and CM are both trying to take over the criminal underworld; but there is no trust between them. SM gets caught in the middle - with an ill fitting costume that keeps falling off when he fights! Great early issue!
More costume problems for Peter as the Green Goblin and The Crime Master threaten to reveal each other's identifies in a war for control of the city's crime gangs.
Always fun to go back to old Ditko art. His day in the life art still looks a lot like Archie or the Sunday funny pages, but his battles shine - they’re dynamic, creative, and the costumes look great.
Read for part 1 of 2 of spidey vs green goblin vs the crime master (vs foswell) and spidey trying to fight while his shirt keeps riding up.
The first half of a two-parter that is mostly build up. There’s some surprisingly humanizing characterization for Flash Thompson, who I’m realizing more and more is a standout character in the series. Spidey having to get a halloween Spider-Man costume after he lost the real one makes for great comedic moments.
Ketika Spider-Man sudah mendapatkan kostumnya kembali, ia pun mulai menyelidiki tentang Crime-Master. Namun, setelah diselidiki, Spider-Man belum menemukan petunjuk sampai akhir cerita.

The Crime Master makes a play to take over the gangster underworld much to Green Goblins disapproval. Peter is left without a Spider-Man costume after last issue so he ends up with one purchased off the shelf at a fancy dress shop, lucky for him it doesn't fit so he has to stick it down with webbing which comes in handy when the Goblin knocks him out and tries to de-mask him leaving Goblin to take an unconscious Spidey to the underworld meeting just as the Crime Master makes his monologue to the crime syndicate. Find out next ish if they choose Goblin as their leader instead and just who is this new Patch character? Can he be more than just a simple police snitch?!
The continuity with this series turns the most cookie-cutter stories into something so much more. For instance, the loss of the costume in the last issue evolving into a side arc in this one, and then brilliantly factoring in to why the Goblin can't unmask Peter. The foreshadowing of what's to come when Jameson tells Peter where his original costume went. Small touches in what could have been an otherwise mid plot, but they make all the difference. This comic is always so much fun to read. The universe feels alive and constantly evolving.

Story was alright with minimal Green Goblin appearances. This is where I start to notice some confusion with Peter’s spider sense because he literally was no more than a dozen yards away from ol’ Gobby and didn’t even sense his presence. Does it only work when he’s in immediate danger? Because in a previous issue, Peter’s spider sense went off in a crowd of people because Norman Osborn was nearby. But oh well. I’ll try not to think about it too much.
A fun adventure with Peter trying to get back ownership of his superhero costume, all while Green Goblin and the Crime Master compete to see who will be the new leader of all the crime gangs. There’s also a decent cliff-hanger of an ending.
This love-square 🙄 But the Crime Master and Green Goblin story was fun. Peter having to buy a costume at the store was also quite amusing. In some panels it looked like he was wearing a crop top 😂

Solid issue. The Crime Master is somewhat interesting, but will need to see how this plays out to say more. Really awesome cover, despite a “fine” story.
