When a close and much older friend dies, Luna Hill is startled to learn he has left her his ranch and wealth – something his greedy and callous family, who had no interest in the ranch expect to receive the money it would reap them, are more than a little unhappy about. Someone from the family is determined to make Luna sell, and give them the millions they feel they rightly deserve, as things take dangerous turn after dangerous turn, she finds protection and comfort in the arms of her friend Colt Kendrick, the two have been circling each other for a long time and finally seem to be coming together, now if they just stop whomever is trying to harm Luna before they succeed. Colt is determined to do anything to keep Luna safe but what will he do when ?

I wished the chemistry and connection between Luna and Colt had manifested a tad more compellingly, there was just a layer of sensuous heat and an intense emotional connection missing. I liked the characters well enough, but they didn’t imprint themselves on my memory, the strands of their characters having already faded a fair bit from my mind. Nevertheless, there were some lovely and sweet moments in this, and as a couple they are cute/sweet.

Overall, on a night where sleep was a distant memory this author’s books made for some nice reading. It will be staying on my kindle, but won’t be a book I will be running back to any time soon.

Absolutely amazing! Jennifer Ryan is one of my favorite authors.
Romance, suspense and sexy cowboys!
My Rating: 5 Stars!!!!!

"Her Renegade Rancher" Montana Men #5 by author Jennifer Ryan.

What an amazing addition to this romantic suspense series. I have read every novel Jennifer Ryan has available and have loved them all. They are romance, yes, but can be pretty dark and intense. If you've read her "The Hunted" series then you know what I mean. I completely ignore my TBR list when Jennifer has a release. I don't need a blurb to preorder or one-click her books because I know they will be great. If you love romantic suspense, cowboys and Montana, you will love this series!

In this novel I felt like I was playing a game of "Clue." There were many suspects, all with reasonable cause to make trouble. I changed my mind several times while trying to guess. This novel had me enthralled. I love how Jennifer can make me wonder if the obvious guilty are innocent and the innocent, guilty.

Our hero, Colt Kendrick is the youngest of three brothers. Along with their grandfather, they are hard working, loyal and love each other unconditionally. They are always there for family and friends. I love them all but of the three Kendrick brothers, Colt is my favorite. Well at least for now because Ford's story hasn't come out yet.

Colt and Luna.....
Colt was best friend's with Luna's boyfriend and he felt guilty for his more than platonic feelings for Luna. Even after she broke up with her boyfriend, he tried to stay away believing it was wrong. Bro-code and all that. But one night they shared a life changing kiss. Ever since that kiss, Colt and Luna stopped speaking and avoided each other. Of course there was a misunderstanding that I won't go into because it's better if you read it yourself.

Luna Hill works at the local diner. At least for now. She was offered a job out of state that would allow her to put her degree to use. But can she leave Montana and her friends? It's because of her friends that she will have another choice.

All at once Luna finds herself in a situation where all her dreams are coming true. But instead of enjoying her good fortune, she is fighting to stay one step ahead of the danger that is suddenly unraveling around her. Not of it her fault, of course.

I can't say enough how much I loved Luna as a heroine. I did not have one single critique with her character. She was loyal, loving, kind, honorable and always stayed true to what was right. Another aspect of this story I appreciated was that Luna and Colt, once they became a couple, were solid in there feelings for each other. The angst of this story, although effected Colt and Luna, was not caused by them. Colt and Luna were perfect for each other and I believed in their love.

The next book features middle brother Ford. We get a teaser about his story at the end of this one. His story hints to another suspense. I predict tension and angst and of course, a lot of romance. Ford's story may be the last in this series unless Jennifer introduces new characters. I will be sad if it's the last. But then again that mean a whole new series to look forward to.

Colt Kendrick is the youngest Kendrick brother and he stepped aside when his best friend claimed the girl, but his friend is now married, and a shared kiss has left him feeling guilty. Colt is a totally swoon worthy rancher who had no trouble curling my toes. :)

Luna Hill is haunted by the kiss she and Colt shared. Advice from an old friend has her approaching Colt again and maybe just maybe the timing will be right. Luna is a local server, who just finished her degree and dreams of working with special needs children in an equestrian program.

Her Renegade Rancher had such an interesting and suspenseful story wrapped around this romance. A dear friend of Luna’s passes away and leaves her with a gift that could make all of her dreams come true. It also comes with huge responsibility and not everyone is happy about it. In fact, her very life and those she loves are threatened. Oh, what a tangled web greed weaves, and Ryan did a fantastic job with this thread. I was hooked, from the terms of the will, to the bottom-feeders. Some twists, and heart-stopping moments had me flipping' the pages.

There is a little back history between Colt and Luna in this story, but some may cry insta-love. However, I was perfectly willing to swallow the little blue pill and became quickly invested. Colt and Luna are such sweet characters. They are both thoughtful, humble, and just genuine people. I needed wanted them to have all the feels and happiness they deserved. Ryan delivered delicious chemistry, tenderness and curl your toes moments.

Next up is Ford’s story in His Cowboy Heart. It releases February 2017 and I cannot wait. Her Renegade Rancher delivered a story that pulled me in and emotionally connected me to the characters. Secondary characters added suspense, humor and beautiful moments creating a well-rounded story. This review was originally posted on Caffeinated Book Reviewer

DNF at about 50%. I did skim to the end and yep, the story went exactly as I knew it would. That would be fine if the characters were interesting or if there was some humour or something to make it worth my while to finish it. But no. Blah blah blah.
Colt is a dumb*ss who kissed Luna in a previous book, when he thought she was still seeing his best friend. She wasn't. They had broken up weeks before that and it boggles my mind that he didn't know that... 1. it's a small town, 2. he's supposedly your best friend and you didn't know??? And the whole story starts with this contrived plot device. That was the only thing keeping them apart apparently, but Josh spends waaaaaay too much time winding Luna up but never making his move. All I could think was 'sh*t or get off the pot man!'.
Both Colt and Luna were boring people with dull conversation skills. The 'bad guys' were cartoonish.

3.5 stars maybe? This one was kinda weird. I really enjoyed the dramatic plot and the character development. The romance worked well for me. But there were quite a few times when I was just confused as to why a character would do or say something, like it made no sense for that to be their reaction or response regardless of the character. I just mean normal human beings don't act like that. For instance, everyone seemed to have inappropriate expository dialogue that would have sounded very awkward in real life. And the FBI doesn't test the boyfriends of victims to see if they really love her or not.

I worked myself up for a twist at the end that never happened - - but I still really liked the plot and how it ended. I think I would recommend it?

As I was reading it, I kept thinking "I'm definitely mentioning that in the review" but the ending was really great and left me with such a fuzzy warm feeling that I'm just kinda like "Well, all the annoying stuff before wasn't that bad". But at one point I was wondering if Jennifer Ryan actually wrote this because it made so little sense and I think she's too good of an author to not make sense. So I mean... I liked the book a lot, but it was fucking weird to read at times. Not weird things happening in the story, the weird is all experienced by the reader.

Just take that how you will and read it if you want, I guess.

There are just some authors that you can't get enough of and for me that's Jennifer Ryan. I just love her books. She has so much happen in her story that at times you'll sit back and think, 'really'?

But even with them sometimes being a little far-fetched, you will find yourself wanting...no, needing to read them.

Her Renegade Rancher is book #5 of her Montana Men series. I'm really loving this series. Now I can't say it's any better then any of her others because to be honest, I love all her series equally. But Her Renegade Rancher is one of my favorite books of hers.

Okay, Colt is one of my favorite hero's of hers.

You might feel like you're shaming me because I have the hots for a FICTIONAL character but you'd be wrong. We all have to have our fantasies and today's in Colt Kendrick's.

There is just something about the Kendrick brothers. All of them are so...hot! For some reason Colt called to me more then the others, (please be nice to me and don't read my Goodreads reviews on this author because you might find that I fall for all her hero's. Let's keep that between us)

There is just something about about how loving and caring he is towards Luna, not to mention protective. He's got it all. Just add in hard working and what woman wouldn't want him.

Now I don't want you to think that the story is all about Colt, because it isn't. Luna is in the story too. I really enjoy her. She's so nice to everyone and when all her dreams land in her lap instead of jumping up and down with joy she thinks about how it will affect others.

Like I said, a good person.

You'll like them both and the other characters that join them in their story (well maybe not the bad guys) and not be able to put it the book down until you're finished.

If you haven't yet read a book by Jennifer Ryan then you are missing out. Hurry and order them all and then kick everyone out of the house because you are not going to want anyone to disturb you until your finished with them all. Butter hurry up, she's got a novella called Snowbound at Christmas out in ebook November 15th and then Ford's story His Cowboy Heart out February 21st.

Another great story by Jennifer Ryan.
We finally find out what happen between Luna and Colt. These two have been dancing around each other until Luna's favorite customer tells her life is too short and that she should talk to Colt. When they finally make up there at the dinner, Wayne her elderly man who was sweet on her died in front of her from a heart attack. When Waynes horrible family find out that she will be inheriting the land and most of the things they are livid and want her to sell. Luna only ways to keep Wayne's memory alive and she has been wanting to have the a special needs ranch to help others. Colt knows the family won't stop but its his job to keep her safe because from when he first met her he knew she was his and he would love her. When the family start to get more violent luna must decide to sell to keep Colt safe or risking her life and not back down. Great story I've been waiting for this can't wait to read Ford's story.

Did I ever tell y'all I kissed a cowboy once?  He was a real, honest to God cowboy who worked a ranch down in Okeechobee, FL.  He was soooo cute...

I won't even explain what the heck I was doin' in Okeechobee.  It was a looooonnng time ago ;)

But that is where my LOVE of cowboys and stories with cowboys in them started.  I love stories with the soft spoken, hard working, tough guy who is nothing but a gentleman to the ladies.  Yep, I like a strong guy :)

Surprisingly, Her Renegade Rancher gave us that plus a little bit more... feelings.  Jennifer Ryan gave us a cowboy who knows his way around the ranch and can hold his own.  But Colt Kendrick, the youngest of three brothers, feels the loss of his parents but doesn't remember their presence.  Colt has this hole, or emptiness, inside him that he just doesn't quite know how to fill.  He certainly doesn't imagine a girl would do it.  Especially someone he doesn't think he should have a thing for, like Luna Hill.

Luna and Colt have a bit of a past that was alluded to in the previous book, Stone Cold Cowboy.  We finally find out why these two silly kids are "dancing" around each and not exactly speaking.  Once Colt and Luna get their "business" settled and appear to be on the road to.... something, a wrench gets thrown in to gum up the works, per se.  There's a mystery, sabotage, mayhem, and all kinds of romance in this pretty fast paced romance.  And I LOVED IT!!!

But what I loved the most?  Our heroine, Luna, was one smart lady!  I'm pretty sure I've seen this in Ms. Ryan's other Montana Men books I've read, because Ms. Ryan does NOT write dumb romance.  Neither her characters nor the plots are stupid or full of holes.  Granted, the "bad guys" WILL do dumb things, that kind of has to happen because villains are commonly driven by stupid emotions.  But as I was reading this story, I was just so pleasantly surprised to find Luna doing smart stuff and ∗gasp∗ helping herself!

I'm surprised that this book is listed as 400 pages long because it really didn't feel like it was that long.  I think the story flew for me because of the type of story it was.  You knew there was a small mystery to solve, some characters that needed their asses kicked, and as a reader, I wanted to savor the entire process.

Mega happy ending dance!

The next book, His Cowboy Heart, features the middle Kendrick brother, Ford.  It's due out next February :)

Who doesn't love a good cowboy? Sexy, hard working and just plain yummy - I'm in. I don't read many cowboy books but I do always seem to enjoy them. Maybe I need more cowboys in my life.

This story is about the love between friends, family and lovers coupled with the drama that can happen when some don't get what they think belongs to them. Luna is a good person who has worked hard trying to do what's right. She befriends an old rancher that just needs a friend. His family is far from the friendly kind. And when he dies and leaves her his ranch, that family is willing to take awful steps to get what they believe belongs to them.

But mostly this story is about two friends that shared a kiss and then blamed themselves for making a mistake. They've stayed away from each other for far too long and it's time that stopped. Wayne pushes Luna to Colt so they can forgive each other and a friendship begins that both of them needed more than either of them knew.

There is a sweet love story here intertwined between the drama that the reading of a will can cause. And that's the part I loved the most. It took me a while to feel these characters but when I did, I fell for them. I loved Colt - his manners, his kindness, his patience, his consideration, his sexy mouth! I loved Luna - her determination to do what was right and her bada$$ efforts to protect what was hers. I hated Josh and the aunt who shall not be named with a fire and passion that had me ratting and raving at them! I felt sorry for Uncle Harry and the two daughters. Simon had me guessing and hoping. So many emotions tells me the characters were real.

The story is enjoyable if not a bit predictable. The sweet love story is satisfying with a good balance of kissing and story progression. The heat level is moderate with nothing really graphic. Not a lot of concentration on the operation of a ranch but more on the people that live there. There is a starry night and a few scary moments balancing to make a great read.

It's a great way to spend an evening cuddling with cowboys, kissing and family drama. If that appeals to you, pick this one up for sure!

Contemporary, western, small town romance. Fate has a way of getting what she wants. Colt and Luna had their chance at a beginning but things just didn't quite workout. Now there may not be a chance to find out if long held desires can work or not. Or did fate decide to step in one more time and see what would happen on a second chance at everlasting.

Luna has set herself ready to leave the one community that she has found her love in and now must part with him. Colt had been keeping his distance and it was time for her to move on. That was until an unfortunate event took place leaving Luna with a better option. Watching things unfold for Luna and Colt was sweet and romantic, yet with an edge of suspense. Why? Why was the question lingering? As events unfold, things become clear and truths are revealed.

There were twist, greed, resentment, and chemistry. The angst built as the romance blossomed. Misunderstanding just need a little time to get them straightened out. This was a well written addition to the Montana Men series. We get a little of the others from previous stories and a look at some future characters in books to come.

I have to admit that I fell into Jennifer Ryan's writing earlier this year. She one of my new author's this year that has had me very happy to come back again and again to read her stories. I got to know the Montana men from the very beginning. I must say that I look forward to each new release. The characters are rich and endearing. The men are hot, sexy, strong, loving, kind, delicious, decadent, protective and proud. The women that they chose to love have their own set of fire, brass, strength, loving, kindness, and bit of protectiveness also.

This is clearly part of a series of interconnected stand alone stories but this was my first jaunt into this ranch series. I did not feel like I was lacking any previous information to be able to enjoy this story.

I did find an initial jolt into full-on drama at first but I truly got into this book by 20%. The drama does ebb and flow. I'm partial to a cowboy and Colt fit the bill very well, he was a noble man with protective instincts. I was glad to see that Luna the heroine called him out on any over-protectiveness and she really was a strong woman, able to handle other troublesome family members. I really liked these two characters and they had good, bubbling chemistry.

The story line kept me invested, I enjoyed the sabotage plot. Josh and Simon were spineless but made for good reading. The description was good, helping me to imagine the ranch, the house, the animals and Colt. Overall, a good, easy read.

Everything I love most about the Montana Men series, and indeed, about Jennifer Ryan’s writing can be found in this one line…

He used to run wild, now he ran to her.

Achingly romantic, sweet and sexy, gruff and more than a little tough, these cowboys have a way of melting my heart (and my panties) without ever losing the badass nature that makes them so… Delicious. Loving. Kind and protective. Strong. And sure.

So very, very sure. Ms. Ryan’s stories, as seen with Colt Kendrick and his Luna, leave me so happy, so content, so in love, it's hard not to turn around and read them again immediately. Here, in Her Renegade Rancher, I found what I so often find—and adore—about these books. A love that's never in doubt. Do they move fast? Yes, absolutely, but it feels right. It's like a wave of tenderness and hopefulness and heat washes over me, and I never want it to end. Add to that the tension and mystery, the suspense that comes from the outside—pressuring the relationship, strengthening the ties that bind—and you have a story that is captivating and addictive.

It's simple really; I couldn't put this book down. I've been patiently (for the most part) waiting for Colt and Luna’s story since their rocky past became apparent in Stone Cold Cowboy, and it was worth the wait. Because Colt was…possibly my favorite of all the Montana Men—which is saying something, because I've loved each and every one of them—and I adored his strength, his commitment to the things, the people he loves.

Like Luna, who I too loved. Her kindness and willingness to believe the best in people, to give second chances, while still sticking to her guns. She wasn't a pushover, but neither was she a hardass, and that worked for me. The relationship she formed with Colt was beautiful and my heart soared as they came together, worked side-by-side, protecting each other in a relationship that felt, to me, to be very balanced.

I've found, in each of Ms. Ryan’s books that I've had the pleasure to read thus far, a consistency and a familiarity that make her books a sure thing. A guarantee that I'm going to close the book feeling good, feeling connected, feeling like I can't wait for more. Which is, again, true of Her Renegade Rancher. Colt’s brother, Ford is up next—I haven't even touched on the relationship between the families in this series, which is a shame because the playfulness, the banter and the connection they share is magic—and I'm already excited for it. Excited for more lines like the one above, and this one, which seems like the best way to end this gushing review…

Colt Kendrick is the youngest brother of the family, and though he works hard he plays even harder. He is living a good life and things seem to come easy for him, except when it comes to Luna Hill. One heart-stopping and badly timed kiss is keeping these two from making a love connection. The chemistry is there, but they are letting a misunderstanding keep them apart. When they finally talk to each other to straighten things out, Luna's life takes an unexpected turn. Can Colt be the kind of man Luna needs? Can Luna give up some control and let Colt in? Read and see!

This is a good, well written romance with an interesting plot with some danger and angst thrown in for good measure. I really liked Colt, he is honest and straight forward and once he sees what he wants, there is no stopping him. Luna is a strong and independent woman who is used to being on her own and taking care of herself and anyone else that comes her way. Of course some familiar characters round out the story. We get a glimpse into what's up with Rory and Sadie. Also there are some hints to what's up with Ford and of course Grandpa! There is also a whole new group of interesting characters added to the mix. All in all a really good romance. I can't wait for Ford's book!

I really enjoyed this book - it had just the right amount of romance, drama, suspense, action, danger and humor to make it a great well-balanced read. I truly felt the connection between Colt & Luna and there was no denying that they loved one another, even though their love did develop quickly.

We've met Colt & Luna in previous books and knew that they were keeping away from each other, but it was a mystery as to why they avoided the other when they were near. Apparently they kissed once before and it was a hot kiss, but it came at the wrong time (she was broken up with her boyfriend/Colt's best friend and they both felt guilty for kissing the other and never communicated that).

So fast forward to Luna still working at the diner and she's having one of her weekly 'dinner dates' with Wayne, an older rancher who she has a close friendship with. Wayne ends up dying that night of a heart attack and he leaves Luna with a great gift. Only Wayne's family is greedy/selfish/hateful and are not willing to let Luna keep that gift if they can help it.

Colt is one of the Kendrick brothers that we've met in previous books. His grandfather is always trying to set up his grandkids, marry them off and get some great grandchildren, but of course Colt has no intentions of letting that happen to him right now. He was at the diner that night and was finally getting the chance to have that conversation with Luna about the kiss when he sees what's happening. After this, they become very close and finally get to have the talk about how they both felt after that kiss. They're pretty much inseparable once they clear things up, even though Colt still has to work his family's ranch and can't be there to watch over Luna given all the threats made towards her from Wayne's family.

The threats that the family makes are not empty threats. Wayne's family has a bunch of psycho's it seems. There's so much going on that you're left trying to guess who the culprit(s) is. And it's not until the end that we finally get answers, and some will leave you surprised. There was a nice ending despite all the drama though and I was happy to at least see some good come out of all the drama.

I must say that Luna is one of my favorite heroines ever. She was genuinely loving, caring, loyal, honest, dedicated, smart, passionate and had the biggest heart. Based on our interactions with her in previous books, I didn't see her being this type of person, so it was quite surprising. I loved Colt as well. He was such a sweet guy who would do anything to protect Luna, even if it cost him his life. But she was equally as protective of him, so they definitely made a great match.

Somehow this series fell off my radar for a little while even though I have really enjoyed the books so far. It could be that I read Stone Cold Cowboy (book 4) before this book came out and during the whole “my baby left for the Army” thing. My life got a bit hectic at that time. All I know is I’m glad, for no particular reason, this author popped into my head the other day.

There were a few points from the previous books that took me a few chapters to remember, but it didn’t matter. This story pulled me in pretty quickly. I think it would have pulled me in even if I never read the other stories. Colt is a wonderful hero. Even though he doesn’t explain to Luna why he won’t go into her apartment, the reader knows and it’s so heartwarming. The fire between Colt and Luna is red-hot even before they ever get their second first kiss.

The mystery involved in this story kept me bouncing from person to person. With good reason. There were many players. I found myself getting as angry as Colt and as scared as Luna. This story was told with great flair. Sometimes I would like Simon, but was a fool to do so? Was Josh all bluster or really an evil jerk? So many questions that all kept me reading.

This was a great book and I loved the storyline. Luna Hill made friends with an older gentlemen, Wayne, who came to the café she worked at every Tuesday and Thursday for food and conversation. They shared their lives and had a good friendship. The towns people always talked behind their backs that more was going on than just being friends, but they both just needed someone to talk to. She had known Colt Kendrick most of her life and an incident that happened after she had broken up with her boyfriend who was Colt's best friend was keeping them apart. It was Wayne's desire that they get talking again and try to be friends since he knew that Luna really liked Colt. When Wayne had a heart attack at the café one day, Luna's life really changed. She knew how much he loved his sons but he knew they would not want the ranch life that had been his since childhood so he left the entire ranch to Luna. He did give his sons plenty of money and he even gave money to his sister who had been borrowing money from him for years. He knew that Luna would do her best to keep the ranch going making money. This is a story of learning who you are and doing the best with what you have. There is a lot conflict among Wayne's family because they wanted everything and did not want her to have anything. Great Book

No one knows better than Colt Kendrick that life can change in an instant. He lives without regrets except for one: not making the gorgeous woman he sees every time he walks into the local diner his.
Luna Hill is haunted by the heart-stopping kiss she and Colt never should have shared. Their timing has always been off. Just as sparks begin to ignite again, she is offered a job that will take her far from their ranching town. But when a dear friend dies unexpectedly, leaving Luna a staggering gift, she has a chance to stay and finally make her long buried wishes come true—even ones that involve the sexiest cowboy she’s ever known.
Not everyone is happy with Luna’s good fortune, and as they make their feelings dangerously and abundantly clear when she falls in their crosshairs, Colt will do anything he can, risk everything he has, to keep her safe. Because Luna showed him he has a heart...and it belongs to her.
A totally enjoyable, keep you on your toes read. Loved it. 5 stars

I’m all for a cheesy romance novel. My sister bought this one for me at Dollar Tree so I’d have something mindless to read while I’m recovering from a surgery, so I didn’t expect much. It definitely gave me something to do, so I’ll give it a couple of stars. But…man. The story is ridiculous. The “terms” of the old man’s will that set up the entire story were convoluted and absurd. And I always hate it when I’m reading a professionally published book with grammatical errors - “metal” instead of “mettle,” he had another “think” coming, and the repeated use of the phrase “I could care less.” (Which, of course, means you DO care. At least some.)

Well. I can tell my sister I finished the book. I won’t be reading the next one.

This was a bit of a twist on a second chance. Colt and Luna were never quite together so it’s not your standard second chance story. Watching the pair of them fall in love was so sweet even with the danger and intrigue surrounding Luna’s inheritance. After reading some of this author’s other books, I greatly appreciated that this one doesn’t have the same level of psychological horror. The author does that very well – too well, really – which made the petty evils in this book a refreshing change. Now, I’m eager to see what comes next.

Luna is having a hard time making a go of her life and isn’t interested in men at this time, until she runs into Colt. She has a good friend who is older and he gives good advice. She loves him like a father. And then he dies and leaves a complicated will that makes her a target from his kids and sister. They almost kill her and Colt and she finally presses charges after all the close calls they make trying to destroy their father’s place and horses. She marries Colt and hopefully will happily ever after.

Loved this book.

This was my second time reading this book and I still had some tears. Loved being connected with the characters. Loved Luna and Colt, they were perfect for each other. Luna has been given a huge task, and she had hard decisions to make. But when Colt is threatened, will she sacrifice everything? I cried at this point. Were all Wayne’s family giving her a hard time, or just some of the family? Loved wondering if Simon is good or bad. I did have happy tears too. I loved their happy ever after. I highly recommend this book.

I have really enjoyed this series. Just one comment to make. The lack of proofreading and grammar mistakes in so many books today is sad. One that has flagrant in this series is “ the light shined in (insert name)’s eyes.” The correct use is “the light SHONE in so-in-so’s eyes”.
(shine. When this verb is intransitive, it means “to give or make light”; the past tense is shone {the stars shone dimly}. When it is transitive, it means “to cause to shine”; the past tense is shined {the caterer shined the silver}.

very good! it started out relatively fast, like most of her cowboy books do, they get together soon and are sleeping with each other within the first 120 pages. the plot twists were good, i liked that the ending wasn't the wedding, like most books, but instead it went to what the bad guy was going to do to them next. i wouldnt necessarily read this again, but it was a good book that kept me hooked through the last page

This is a wonderful series and a great book. I loved the story about Luna and Colt and Wayne was such a wonderful honorable man. This was full roller coaster of ups and downs and I wanted to smack some of Wayne's family. The ending was wonderful and I wish I could say more but don't want to give anything away.
