Monster Hunter International #3.5

A Halloween Public Service Announcement from Monster Hunter International

Rate this book
Free MHI short story.

Several years ago a film crew from the television news program PrimeLine was given unprecedented access to the staff of Monster Hunter International, a secretive company headquartered in Cazador, Alabama. Chief PrimeLine reporter, Leslie Bing, after learning of the existence of monsters was committed to educating the public about their dangers. Mr. Bing’s original plan was to broadcast the interviews as a series of public service announcements before Halloween. However, the tapes were later seized by an unnamed federal agency and the staff of PrimeLine was admonished to never speak of monsters publically. The only thing that remains from these conversations are the transcripts of the original un-edited PSA footage, presented here for the first time.

This is funny as REDACTED fish. This is REDACTED Super Extra Short (SES™). This is a great read for REDACTED all MHI fans. This is REDACTED free. This is here.

Let's dance.

P.S. What to know what this whole REDACTED thing is about? Ask Friendly Agent Franks (FAF™). Wait. Come to think of it, don't. He will “probably feed you into a wood chipper” if you do. Fun times ahead and stuff.

Presented as a transcript of an interview with the Monster Hunter International crew that some journalist was attempting to release online before the Feds seized everything, this is more inane bullshit from Correia.

We learn that the most important thing in life is buying lots of guns and making home explosives, that you have to shoot lots of guns all the time unless you're a pansy, and that Orcs love Bill O'Rilley's show but hate Keith Olbermann and would like to kill him and eat his heart. Now, that last part sounds about right until you remember that Correia's Orcs are good guys, in contrast to how Orcs are usually portrayed in fantasy.

So, you know, the heroes of these books admire racist compulsive liars who sexually harass women but hate liberals to the point that they call them "foul beasts" and they fantasize about murdering them and eating their hearts. Pretty standard moron right-wing bullshit of the sort I've come to expect from this guy and his shitty writer pals who fantasize about killing people on the other side of the political divide and love to give blow jobs to guns. After all, this is the same author who in another book included a scene where we learn that one of the greatest foes of real American macho patriot men, documentary filmmaker Michael Moore, is secretly in league with a bad guy who's a lazy Saddam Hussein analogue because "LiBuRuLz dOn'T LuV mUrIcA." Also Michael Moore is fat so he can be mocked for it by fat American gun nuts because their guns make their obesity badass instead of gross like fat libtards.

At times his right-wing pandering is so over the top and cartoonish that I honestly wonder if maybe he's trolling, but then I remember who's the sitting president and the kind of crap he and his supporters say and believe, and well, it seems pretty par for the course.

I mean, since it is a free online story and you can see the comments from his readers, surprising no one, they just LOVED that bit about the Orcs killing Keith Olbermann because that's what right wing media has programmed them to think is okay.

Read for free on Monster Hunter National (sample chapters and short stories). Cute and funny. You need to have read several of the books to have a feel for each character to actually know what's going on.

Short, sorta humorous. If you know the monster hunter characters.
If they ever put this in film, this would be good credit extras material.

A funny little vignette from Larry Correia and our MHI pals.

Very enjoyable, if you have read enough of the series to get the in-jokes.

Very short-only a couple pages, not really anything going on, no real reason for the book I think. It was probably him just goofing around then thought, why not publish it? I just didn't really care for it. And so anybody knows ahead of time, you don't have to read this before the next book-absolutely nothing happens in this so you may just want to skip.
