At first glance, Berwick Street is a quiet cul-de-sac: a safe place to raise a family and enjoy retirement. But in the dead of winter when most Berwick Street residents have gone south to escape the bitter cold, there is something evil lurking in the coming snowstorm. A group of followers with specially-honed powers of destruction seeks final retribution for events that occurred more than four hundred years ago. Aided by a teenager with precognitive abilities, an unlikely trio of women - Cassie, an introvert in her twenties, Rebecca, a sixty-five-year-old grandmother, and Mabel, an ailing octogenarian - must face the coming onslaught. Simple, short, and kind of sweet little story about three women in a small Canadian village, fighting against descendents of victims of Scottish witch trials.

This book was a wonderful read! I loved the way the author wove the witch trials into the plot. Past and present intermingle in a tantalizing way. The characters were well-developed and likeable. The mystery continues throughout the story making you want to read it in one sitting.

Another great book by Lynn L. Clark. I look forward to reading more of her books.

I received a free copy of this book.

This book is an interesting read. It's a new take on the stories of witch trials and was fun to read. My only complaint is that the beginning was a bit choppy in the telling as each chapter focuses on a new character. Still, it's worth the read!
