Let it Ride is a prequel short story to the Casino Nights series. It introduces us to Francesca and Remy. They are both in the casino business and have been working together on a panel for a convention. Remy has designs on Francesca and hopes the convention is the place he can finally make his move.
I liked the story, but I didn't love it. I did like the chemistry between Remy and Francesa. I thought they were cute together. But, what made me not love it was the feeling that I was missing something in the beginning because I didn't get a good sense of the characters right off. I would have liked to see more of Francesca with her security team to get a feel for them. I was also disappointed that it ended in a cliffhanger. It's a short story, but probably could have been combined with the first book in the series to make one book about the couple. I'm not a fan of cliffhangers in general.
Still, I 'd say it's worth a read. You may want to wait until the next book in the series comes out so you don't have to wait too long to finish out Remy and Francesca's story.

Remington Cooper saw what he wanted, but knew he could never have her. Or so he thought. The setup of this novel, allowing Remy to have what he wanted, when he thought he surely never would be able to, was beautiful. Being allowed 5 days to win the woman that he is sure is the woman of his dreams is sure luck that only can happen in a Casino. This convention that the two are attending, will sure to have sparks flying between the two in Remy has anything to do with it.
Francesca Luchetti (Frankie) has lived a hard life. She has no desire to add any type of complication, which adding a man surely would be, as a permanent staple. But Remy will not give up and Frankie gives him those crucial 5 days to show whether something with him will be worth it or not.
These two characters together were amazing. The chemistry was there, I think the characters were extremely well developed (from all the issues with Frankie’s past to Remy being the sexy alpha military type), but I wished there would have been more to their story. The set up was obviously there to continue with the series (and I definitely will!) but I think it could have given the readers just a little more with these two before finishing. Overall, this was a great read!

Fun quick read! Remington Cooper has had his eye on Francesca Luchetti for a while and know is his chance to make his move. His life is finally in order and the convention is the perfect place to show her how good it can be. Francesca at the top of her game in her fathers casino. She’s strong, self confident and in control and has no personal life. Thanks to her ex husband Francesca she has no confidence in a romantic relationship. Remy shows Francesca how good it could be between them but when danger presents itself Remy kicks into alpha mode and shows her just how much she means to him. With the convention acts it’s end and promises to meet in a few weeks will their relationship make the distance?

Colegii ei prea ca niște cloște, iar tipul Rico prea enervant.
Am fost pe punctul de a o da în dnf, dar am zis să o continui dacă tot e așa scurtă, 100 de pagini și am sperat că poate, poate va fi mai bună.
Coperta m-a atras prima oară la cartea aceasta. Păcat de ea pentru că a fost o dezamăgire totală cartea asta.

The first installment of the Casino Nights series introduces Francesca and Remington (Frankie and Remy). At first, I didn't know what to expect reading the first chapter. It started kind of slow but it didn't bore me like the other books that starts in a slow pace with nothing really happening.
Frankie works for her father in a casino in Vegas and met Remy two years prior. Let It Ride simple tells us how she and Remy got together after being just acquaintances from the past couple of years. Frankie flew by herself to attend a convention, with disapproval of Team 2 members, because of recent threats she and her father have been receiving from a certain man. Remy is your typical alpha male who's not shy to let his intentions be known since he's been eyeing Frankie from the first time he met her. Sparks fly and the two agreed to enjoy each other until the end of the convention. I got to admit, the chemistry is there. Remy definitely knows what he's doing in bed.
I like the banter between Frankie and her team. It's a nice change that she's the boss and can make her own decisions unlike the usual damsel in distress heroines. Remy is not so bad too. I certainly would love to know more of him and he could really work a long distance relationship with Frankie.
I can't really give an overall rating because it was cut too short. I would love to see more action/suspense or even drama in the next book. It's a good start but I need more to the story. Nothing really happened aside from that room disturbance so hopefully, we'll get to see more in the next book.

This was a short, fast, hot read. Everything you'd expect when there is gambling involved. I found it to be a quick, easy read, at just over 100 pages. However, that doesn't mean it isn't packed with excitement and steamy moments.
I saw this short read as an introduction to the main characters. We got to know them, their situations and their backgrounds. We are given plenty to understand why their romance is forbidden and unexpected, which also really builds the sexual tension. The hot moments are passionate and full of need and desire.
I liked the overall story and was actually a fan of the cliffhanger. I liked that it has truly led in to this series and given me a lot to hope for and be excited about. I am very much looking forward to reading more from both this author and this series.

Roulette is one of the most popular casino games out there. It is known to most people on earth and it is also a relatively simple game. I know you could probably walk up to the rolling table and play a game without reading about it at all. However, I believe that good preparation should not be neglected. If you want to play roulette, you need to know the basic rules of roulette and the types of bets you can make in this game. That's why I wrote this article. Think of it as a beginner's guide to roulette that will teach you everything you need to know to have fun and maybe even win something while playing. Keep reading and get ready to play!
Note that there are several types of roulette, namely European, French and American roulette. They are very similar in many ways, but there are some differences that are worth noting. Where certain aspects of the game differ between different types of roulette, I will mention them in the text. Roulette is basically a very simple game. It is played with roulette, which has 37 or 38 numbered and colored slots:
European (French) roulette: numbers 1 to 36 (red or black) and 0 (green)
American Roulette (double zero): numbers 1 to 36 (red or black) and 0 to 00 (green)
The small ball is thrown into the spinning wheel and players bet on the number they think the ball will land on. Players can bet on individual numbers or on several different groups of numbers. Betting on a smaller number of numbers has a lower chance of winning, but they reward players with larger winnings. Later in this guide I will go over all the possible bets, the amount of the win and the probability of winning with different bets.
Remember that the numbers in a point are not in ascending or descending order. They are arranged in a certain order, which is different for European and American roulette. To learn more about this, read my article on roulette tables and wheels. In addition to the ball and points, there is also a roulette table with a schedule that players use to place their bets. Bets can be made before Stick spins the wheel and throws the ball. However, they can often be placed even while the wheel and ball are spinning until the croupier announces that the bets are over.
The beginning of the betting round is announced by the stick when it says: "Bet!" and ends when the stick says: "no more bets!" The number on which the ball stops is the winning number. All bets are then valued accordingly. Stick collects the lost bets and winnings from the winning bets are paid out to the players.

I like the story line and plot and it has great potential but unfortunately it has some lacks. It started out very slow and it took a while before the story caught my full attention. It is a short read and the story could have a better flow in the beginning but it gets better.
It lacks some depth in the story. The details about the main character and protection is not well described and I would have like that. I confused me sometimes. I think it will be in the next book, but would have made this better to reveal a bit of it. I hope the next book will have more in it.

Shake rattle and roll between the sheets!!!
What's not to love about the strong female lead, Francesca? The daughter of a casino owner taking over the business finds herself in trouble in and out of the bedroom. Outside a man obsessed is trying to take her down. In the bedroom a man of steel is knocking down her walls and entering her heart! The steaminess between Frankie and Remy is extreme. I can't wait to read All In.

This is more of a short Prequel than an actual book and gave me enough information to know I am hooked on the Casino Nights series and can wait to find out more abut Francesca and Remy. Remy set his sights on Frankie years ago and decided that the time is now right to make her his. The chemistry between the two is off the charts and I can't wait to see where or if their relationship continues. Definitely looking forward to Book 2!

This was an interesting look the series, I'd certainly be interested in seeing what happens next. I would have liked to have had a little more information about why specifically the main character needed so much protection, though I assume this will be addressed further, as well as it's significance in the next installment.

Because I'm such a lover of both Chicago and Vegas, this book was perfect for me. I love characters who've lived life and have experiences both good and bad to bring to each other, and Jayne delivers with two people we want to cheer for. The best part is when you get to end, you want more, and more is waiting in another book. And there's a secondary character, Rico, who's oh so cool and so hot.

For me the story was very slow in the beginning just seemed that it didn't flow very well and just random conversation where thrown together. Then at chapter 5 the words started to flow better and I was more into the book.

Let it Ride (Casino Nights Book 1) by Melanie Jayne is a good short read. Features a strong female lead character and a hot alpha male that wants her and wants to protect her. Story will continue in book 2. I am posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.

Intriguing enough to make me want to read the next novel in the series. More in-depth than most lead up novellas. Not all that exciting on the excitement level, but a great introduction to the characters.

This is the beginning of a mini-series dealing with Frankie and Remy, and it serves as a good opener. I found the writing to be a bit loose in parts and the dialogue didn't necessarily feel 'real' at all times. Frankie's relationship with her Team 2 members often felt lax, too... It was much more 'friendship' than 'head of a group'. Then there was the suspense line. I didn't really have a feeling for it one way or another, to be perfectly honest.
Those items aside...
The beginning and growing romance between divorced Frankie and the man she has a meeting with, Remy, was fun to read. Frankie is very business driven and business minded -- something that got in the way of her previous marriage. Now, with her impending romantic relationship with Remy looking to go that next step, she has decisions to make -- is it time to put work aside, or can she find someone who is willing to juggle all the responsibilities with her?
Definitely an easy read that's not going to take too much energy to read. The next installment is due to come out in early June; I'm curious to see how it will continue to play out..!

I love it when the blog introduces me to another author that I can say yes this authors goes on my TBR pile. With a quick and uncomplicated reading style this book was brilliant. I was engaged in the story and wanting to find out more about Frankie and Remy from the first chapter.
At just over novella length this book tells the story of Francesca (Frankie) Luchetti and Remington (Remy) Cooper and is the perfect introduction to the casino nights series. Frankie is a complicated character, abandoned by her mother and orphaned when her father died in her youth, she was taken in and adopted by Jimmy and Rose O'Haire. Being the daughter of a casino magnate creates problems of its own especially when you add in the non stop working lifestyle she has adopted.

An alpha hero this ex marine doesn't back down from a challenge and made my heart go pitter patter as I read. My only problem with this book it ended wayyy to soon.

I love it when the blog introduces me to another author that I can say yes this authors goes on my TBR pile. With a quick and uncomplicated reading style this book was brilliant. I was engaged in the story and wanting to find out more about Frankie and Remy from the first chapter.
At just over novella length this book tells the story of Francesca (Frankie) Luchetti and Remington (Remy) Cooper and is the perfect introduction to the casino nights series. Frankie is a complicated character, abandoned by her mother and orphaned when her father died in her youth, she was taken in and adopted by Jimmy and Rose O'Haire. Being the daughter of a casino magnate creates problems of its own especially when you add in the non stop working lifestyle she has adopted.

This is more like 3.5 stars.
I was kind of excited to get to read this cause of the title and the dice on the cover. I was thinking gambling, Vegas, hot nights. Well, I wasn't wrong. It just wasn't the way I thought. There was gambling, but it was from the casino owners viewpoint. There was Vegas, that's where Francesca lives, but this takes in Chicago at a convention. There were hot nights. Enough said ;0)
Remy has wanted Frankie for a couple of years and knowing she's coming to this convention and is on a panel with him, he figures it is the perfect time to finally get her. Frankie thinks she'll let go and be with him for a weekend, but he tells her he wants more.
This was a great little short story to introduce us to this couple. It is totally a cliffie, so if you can't handle those, you probably shouldn't read this one now LOL Read it when the rest comes out :)

Passion hotter than the roll of the dice.
Francesca is amazing at what she does. Setting up and running the elite team that can do damn near anything. Truly dedicated to her job, she also a bit lonely. A smart, strong and commanding woman who suffered losing love because of her consuming work.
Remy’s handsome, dominant and sexy to the core. He's also protective in that alpha way we love so much. Lustful fantasies have consumed him almost as much as his work has. His dedication and willingness surprised me. One hell of a man.
A quick story that heats the pages and leaves you wanting more. Melanie Jayne leaves reader with a cliffhanger ending making sure you must read the next part. Francesca and Remy are a fun couple. Intelligence with sexy fun. Strong personalities with well written passion. A good story with depth and a touch of drama.

Remington Cooper found something he wants, but has to wait for her. But with a conference that he knows she will attend he has plans to make her his in the five days he has.
Francesca Luchettis knows conventions can be boring but knowing that Remy will be there and that he is interested in her might just make this trip a little more fun. A fling with hot sex on the agenda she know sparks will fly.
I enjoyed this book by Ms. Jayne, the sparks that Remy and Frankie have make this a fun read and a real page turner, but was disappointed to find out it was continuing with another book, no ending as of yet. I find books like this hard to keep me interested, I want to read the book from start to finish, not have to wait months to buy another book to find out the ending.

This is the first short from the Casino Nights series. It stars Francesca Luchetti and Remington Cooper. He's been trying to get to know her for two years and finally they are at a convention together. Sparks fly between them but what happens when this convention is over? She goes back to Vegas and he goes back to Indianapolis?
Story line is great and the steam level is high BUT I didn't like the way it slowly came to a stop at the end. I DEFINITELY WANT TO READ THE NEXT BOOK IN THIS SERIES...but...I expected a little bit more of an exciting end, considering all that happened at the convention.

Let it ride, is the start of Remington Cooper and Francesca Luchetti. I would give this book 3.5 stars.
I really liked Frankie and Remy's characters, their budding romance was fun to read.
Remy is an alpha who goes after what he wants and he had decided he wants a relationship with Frankie.
Frankie is interested in Remy but she is very career minded and has some confidence issues that are attributed to her ex-husband.
Over five days their connection grows, sparks fly and things heat up in and outside of the bedroom.
This is an enjoyable, quick read with a great mix of romance, suspense and heat. I look forward to seeing what the next installment has in store for us.

I loved this short read. Francesca is a strong heroine, who knows her limits and knows when to ask for help when needed. Remy is a hot alpha type hero, who makes me want to track him down and just rub myself all over him. The story drew me in from the beginning, and the plot and twists keep me drawn in (along with the sexy hot scenes). If you like romances with strong heroines, awesome sex scenes, and some drama thrown in, this is the book for you!
