Some men are born responsible, some men have responsibility thrust upon them. Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, just got the motherlode of all responsibility dumped in his regal lap.

He’s not handling it well.

Hoping to help her grandson to rise to the occasion, Queen Lenora agrees to give him "space"—but while the Queen’s away, the Prince will play. After a chance meeting with an American television producer, Henry finally makes a decision all on his own:

Welcome to Matched: Royal Edition.

A reality TV dating game show featuring twenty of the world's most beautiful blue bloods gathered in the same castle. Only one will win the diamond tiara, only one will capture the handsome prince’s heart.

While Henry revels in the sexy, raunchy antics of the contestants as they fight, literally, for his affection, it’s the quiet, bespectacled girl in the corner—with the voice of an angel and a body that would tempt a saint—who catches his eye.

The more Henry gets to know Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum, the more enamored he becomes of her simple beauty, her strength, her kind spirit... and her naughty sense of humor.

But Rome wasn’t built in a day—and irresponsible royals aren’t reformed overnight.

As he endeavors to right his wrongs, old words take on whole new meanings for the dashing Prince. Words like, Duty, Honor and most of all—Love.

Teaser 2:

Henry leans back against the door, watching me. His eyes shine with an intense, almost dangerous light. Everything about him is tight and coiled—his jaw, his shoulders, his clenched hands.
A shiver ripples under my skin as he stalks forward, like a jaguar or lion—all smooth grace and lethal power. He grips the back of his shirt as he goes, sliding it up and off, revealing the tight, sinewy muscles of his arms and abdomen. Lounge pants hang low on his hips, displaying a dusting of golden hair that trails a path beneath the waistband. And the image of rubbing my cheek, my lips against that hair springs up in my mind. Will it be soft? Wiry? Would Henry moan if I blew on it or would he grip my hair and move my mouth to more interesting places?
When he reaches the bed, he wraps his hand around my ankle and jerks me down to the edge. "I've been thinking about this all day."
It’s only when I speak, that I realize I’m breathless. "About what?"
And the man who will be my King, sinks to his knees before me.
"About tasting you. I'm going to lick you until my tongue gives out. Any objections?"

I just had to hear the audible version of this and I loved the book just as much as the first time!

➦I totally see myself in this heroine here. Sarah is her name. We're both bookworms. I, too, wear glasses (at least for another year, cuz, helloooo... Lasik!)

➦I totally see myself working at the library just like Sarah. If said library had a "Naughty Section", that is. That would be my domain. I would be the Queen of the Naughty Section of my local library.

➦Oh... OH! I can also see Arianna working with me. Well, not exactly with me. She'd be in the sub-section of Naughty Section having tea with her psycho book boyfriends, I'm sure of it.

➦And I'm sure we could have a quiet corner for Val where she would let the bitchiness and skankyness shine through...

➦But I digress. So yeah, we're so much the same. Except the whole virgin situation.

➦And the whole "blinking out of reality" for minutes at a time upon hearing loud crashes. Yeah, not that. BUT. We do have one IMPORTANT thing in common. And that's our love for prince Henry.

➦Henry has been put in a position where he has to become KING one day. Thanks to his older brother who abdicated the throne. (Said brother is the hero of Royally Screwed, my review here.) Thanks, BRO.

➦No, but in all honesty, things aren't that bad. Henry is just under a lot of stress. He hates to be a disappointment to his grandma the Queen. What Henry needs is a little time to relax and be himself. So when an opportunity arises for him to be the star in the Matched reality TV show - Royal Edition - he jumps right on it.

➦What can be better than going on dates with a different woman every day and doing fun stuff? Minus the sex, of course. Don't get too excited, it's not that kind of show... SO. What are the chances of Henry falling in love with someone who's not even part of the show?

➦Ahem, Sarah! Sarah is there keeping an eye on her sister and watching from the sidelines. Until one night she lets Henry crash in her room. Poor bloke can't sleep. Cameras in his room keep making noises. Seriously, how creepy is it sleeping with the cameras watching over you?

➦In all honesty, I didn't think the second book in this series could be better than the first. But god damn - IT IS. It's so sooo good. I was superglued to the pages -- you'd have to pry me off with a crowbar. And my gosh, the FEELS! I got all the feels from this book. I laughed and I cried and I swooned and I fell in love with both Henry and Sarah.

➦If you want a light romantic read full of fun banter, steamy times and swoony emotional moments then you must read Royally Matched! You will be part of a fairy tale for a couple of hours so keep an open mind and just go with it! Everyone needs a fairy tale once in a while. *wink*

Oh Prince Henry! After reading Royally Screwed I knew I had to have your book. I had a feeling it would be fun, sexy and down right hilarious! And I was right. I enjoyed Henry’s book so much! He is truly such a character and I loved reading about him.

Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, was used to living a carefree life. As the younger royal son, his responsibilities were low. Until he got plunged into life as the future King. Henry is vastly overwhelmed and not handling it well.
If I’m supposed to be the Great Royal Hope for my country, we’re all well and truly fucked.

So Henry decides he needs to decompress and do something fun before his responsibilities become even more extreme. While the Queen gives him space, he decides to sign up for a reality show. Matched: Royal Edition. What could go wrong?

Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum is a shy bookworm who keeps to herself. She has a few close friends and loves her job, and she has a very outgoing, fun-loving sister. Her sister, Penny, is approached to do Matched along with Sarah. And Sarah says no right away, of course. But Penny… Penny wants to go. And the only way she can go is if Sarah goes with her. So Sarah goes along. Not to be on the show, but to supervise Penny.

Henry is overwhelmed by all the women and attention in the show, which isn’t like him. But there is someone there who doesn't overwhelm him and who is easy to talk to. Sarah. I love the connection Henry and Sarah share. Henry is such a fun character, but he’s so much deeper than I thought he was. He has a big heart and is a good person. He’s one of those playboys that truly changes his way once he finds that one special person. Sarah is sweet, caring, and even though she’s unbearably shy, she learns to stand up for herself. I loved these two as a couple. How wonderful and protective Henry was, how Sarah brought out the best in him… they were a fantastic match.

Fun, hysterical, sweet, and sexy- Royally Matched is a fantastic addition to Emma Chase’s Royally series. I have no clue who the next book is about, but I don’t even care. I know I’ll be reading it!

➳For the one brother who was forced to take the throne, and the Queen being constantly on his tail, Henry sure indeed finds the best ways to thoroughly love Sarah for her true colors, even through the harsh times that separate their true love and chemistry…

➳The story in this series continues off from the little snippets that Emma gave us in the first book, Royally Screwed. Henry takes the role that Nicholas would not take because of the love of his life taking a part of HIS life, Olivia. As the next betrothed to take the crown after their grandmother, the Queen, Henry has the responsibility to rule over a country and take further steps to take care of it. He must move on from the bachelor life of having booze, everything handed to him with no respect, and women crawling at his feet for his attention and of course take part of his bedroom life, to having a responsible life style with respect and dignity but having a further knowledge of his country and what the people in his country need, to also having a woman by his side that can help him through the hard ways of ruling. His problem is that everyone looks at him as the next one, the second brother, the one who will most likely screw up and take no notice to fix problems. When in reality, he never asked to take a part of this facade. Sarah on the other hand is the total opposite to Henry’s persona. From being funny and a total flirt, Sarah is the quiet one who enjoys a good book in the corner of any room and just notices things from afar. In this case, the latter of noticing things from afar is something that Sarah has to take a part of since her sister has been called to be in a Royal reality TV show, in which Prince Henry will also take a hold of. The reality show consists of 20+ women, all from royal families, looking to win the heart and mind of Prince Henry and become the next Queen and take a hold of his arm throughout the journey. He believes this is a great idea to take a part of before he has to take the throne and be stuck in the castle with royal highness responsibilities.

➳What most people do not know is that, Henry hides this really sweet and charming side that not a lot of people are able to witness. Sarah as well, has a secret that only her mom and sister know about. A secret that changed her life completely and Henry takes quiet a while to find out, and when he does unfortunately it has t be through the hard way- a way that hurts her emotionally. However, knowing Henry he does everything he can to fix his problem and gain the love and care from Sarah again. They both begin to enhance their relationship as friends, but soon realize that they cannot stand the chance to be away from each other. As Sarah takes a part of this reality show next to her sister as HER assistant, it becomes harder and harder every day to see Henry holding hands or flirting with other contestants. Though when they are both together, wrapped up in their world, tucked in Sarah’s room, they are both to themselves. They talk about anything and nothing, listening to each other breathe, him playing his guitar and her humming while she reads, interacting intimately but also personally. With him, she is a totally different person- more confident of herself, more out going, not shy, and totally naughty. Henry brings out a side to her that she has not taken a part of before;
"Henry makes me want to take a chance. On new experiences. And on him…"

➳His days are stuck doing things that a “lucky” guy in a bachelor show would do; bungee jumping, going out on dates, doing thrilling extra curricular activities, and sharing moments with other contestants. However, to Henry it slowly becomes something that he finds regretting taking a part of. Instead he wants to spend his time with Sarah, not regretting meeting her though. Spending time together has brought something out of both of them that is not seen in many, but most specially on Henry. Sarah has rubbed that positive outlook onto Henry, and he learns on how to spread it with other- especially knowing that he needs to do so with the people he will soon govern. They both make each other something that is out of the blue, and connects the idea of how opposites due indeed attract;
"What a strange pair we are. The sad boy and the frightened girl…"

➳Emma Chase has brought a new level of romance that combines the categories of fantasy, a royal love story, and erotica. Her way of writing a world that combines these categories together was an absolute thrill to read. I honestly cannot wait to read the third installment in the series, Royally Endowed. I can infer, from the snippet Emma has given us that this next installment may be about Logan and Ellie, Olivia’s younger sister, bringing a new mix to this series in a unique way, in which also my hands cannot wait to get a grip on, coming June 15th!

There is freedom waiting for you, on the breezes of the sky. And you ask, “What if I fall?” Oh but my darling, “What if you fly?” ~Erin Hanson

Our lives may not always be fairy tales, but we can experience them in books every day. Some books make us fly, carrying us to destinations unknown, daring us to dream. Oh did I dream in Emma Chase’s newest romantic delight. Royally Matched made my soul soar and my heart dance in a dreamy delight of a romance that is PURE HEAVEN.

Feeling like a Disney Princess, I dove into the delicious Royally Matched. I wanted to take my time, sprinkling myself into this dream like fairy dust, where I could bask into the glow of wonder. Reality: I swallowed this story nearly whole on a packed tour bus in route to the Czech Republic. When a book begins with the word, ‘BALLS,’ you can’t help but roll in laughter at the ensuing humor that follows.

Oh did I immediately chuckle like a drunk in that bus full of people who likely wondered if my water bottle was filled with vodka. That’s okay...I love books that begin with a BANG…of humor. Royally Matched made me giddy like a school girl!

I like my sports the way I like to f**k—wild, loud and dirty.

I was insanely captivated and catapulted onto a stage filled with hot and humorous Henry, lighting me up with laughter and lust. Henry is pure heat. His dirty mouth is delicious!

Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, Prince of Wessco. GORGEOUS. Dark blond locks, emerald green eyes, a mouth and body of sin. Rebel rogue, the royal who marches to the beat of his own drum, and oh is it loud. Next in line to be King of Wessco, thanks to older brother screwing him over by marrying a commoner. Newest reality show star of Matched: Royal Edition where he gets to crown of 20 blue-blooded beauties as his princess.

Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum. BEAUTIFUL. Brown hair, brown eyes, glasses, and hour glass figure. Bookworm but looks like a naughty librarian. Librarian for real too. Sweet and shy but wants to be brazen and feel as beautiful inside as she does outside.

Henry only has eyes on the shy beauty in the corner who’s not on the reality show but tagged along with her sister who’s a contestant.

“You’re pretty. Hasn’t anyone every told you that?”

“Not really.”

“They should have. You should’ve been told every day how pretty you are – inside and out.”

I MELTED!!! My body morphed into lava, a puddle of goo as Henry WOWED me in every way. This magical prince made me SMILE, SMOLDER, AND SWOON. Henry went from making my body melt with heat to melting my heart with words that uplifted this shy lass to the beauty she is inside and out. Sarah prefers to be in the background but Henry wants her front and center! He is giving Sarah her wings so she can finally fly. Oh did my FEELS FLUTTER!!!

This prince is a bit broken, a bit like Sarah in that they both need encouragement, someone to lift them up, hold them tight and tell them that they are worthy. Sarah is also giving Henry wings or perhaps the crown, the courage to be king and own that crown.

This beautiful, broken, pitiful prince. Was Henry ever told how brilliant he is? Kind and strong, generous, and good? I don’t think he was and they should’ve told him. Every single day.

Oh did these sentiments of kindness and strong words of wisdom wrap themselves around me, making me FEEL EVERYTHING!!! Tears trickled down my cheeks as I felt for this prince who doesn’t feel king worthy. Prince Henry needs Sarah, this sweet and sensational gal who is making him feel like he could conquer the world.

Her words make me feel. Like I’m a hundred feet tall and a thousand times as strong. Like I’m a superhero or a god. Like…I’m a king.

Henry and Sarah are each other’s saving grace…MINE TOO.

Sweet, shy, and stunning Sarah is coming out of her shell. The beauty in the corner is slowly believing that she’s incredible, and it’s all because of one magnificent prince…sexy as sin and sweet as pie.

Speaking of pie…I’m suddenly HUNGRY.

“I’ve been thinking about this all day.”

I MELTED INSIDE.

It’s only when I speak that I realize I’m breathless. “About what?”

I WAS RENDERED BREATHLESS, as my heart beat out of its chest.

And the man who will be my king sinks to his knees before me.

That image of the man to be king on his knees is POWERFUL, and image that nearly brought me to my knees.

“About tasting you. I’m going to lick you until my tongue gives out. Any objections?”

description"

Oh…my…HEAT!!! I was on fire, my body blazing in need, thighs clenching hard. Every part of my body…ALL OF ME…was ACHING…aching for this prince…aching for this addicting story that scorched me EVERYWHERE. Reminder: I was still reading—a now slightly uncomfortable story because of location—on a tour bus full of people who hopefully did not think I was a pervy princess….though inside I was…am…I so am.

Oh God...His lips slide into an adorably crooked half-smile.

“Speechless, love? Was it something I said?”

Oh Henry, I bow to you and your magical tongue with its sweet words and its even sweeter touches to the princess promised land of the lower region. I wanted to be Henry’s princess badly.

He could crush me; the foreshadowing is clearly written. It’s a tale as old as time: the inexperienced bluestocking and the bed-hopping rogue. Bloody hell; I’m a trope.

Royally Matched crushed me, crashing into me with a force I never saw coming.

I’m not going to fall. I can’t. Because Henry has shown me how to fly.

Cartoons Comments Pictures
More Images @ MyNiceProfile.com

Henry has made Sarah see the world through new eyes where she wants to take that leap with him, sprouting the wings he gave her to fly.

And I feel like I’m falling after all—like my wings have been clipped.

However, with flying, there’s a risk of falling…falling in love and even falling down on your face when your wings break by the one who gave them to you.

Royally Matched gave me wings, and I am still flying so fast from this fairy tale, my soul soaring high like an eagle in the sky. But I’m still falling too…falling in UTTER LOVE with this brilliant and beautiful book…falling in love with a prince who still has my heart. Prince Henry had my heart before this book. There’s more to this playboy prince than meets the eye: a huge heart waiting for the right woman to unlock it and hold it as her own. This prince held my heart in his hands…owning it…OWNING ME. Royally Matched UNEQUIVOCALLY OWNED ME.

After reading Royally Screwed, I knew Henry would be my favorite prince and oh was HE ALL THAT AND MORE!!! This prince doesn’t follow the crowd, he leads them…sometimes in a t-shirt, jeans, and combat boots. Gorgeous inside and out, Henry is both rogue and regal, a lethal combo for a powerful and passionate prince. A prince who went from callous and cocky playboy to caring and confident man fit for a king. Although Sarah is Henry’s polar opposite, their connection is commanding; she completes him in every way.

The laugh-out-loud humor, off-the-charts chemistry, passion, smolder, strength, sweetness, swoon, soul, and sooo much heart...Royally Matched was EVERYTHING!!! Royally Matched royally exceeded my expectations!!! I did not expect this story to twist and turn itself around me where I FELT ALL THE FEELS. I did not expect to CRY sad tears along with my happy ones. I did not expect to swoon, but oh did I SWOON IN SPADES. I could not help but FALL IN UTTER LOVE with this rom-com that is a fierce and feel-worthy fairy tale but SO MUCH MORE.

Royally Matched blew me away! This book is bloody brilliant and a top 2017 read already!!! I fell in UTTER LOVE with this soul-searing and swoon-filled story!

I may have been late to jump on board the Emma Chase Fan Girl Train, but oh am I a passenger for life! Emma Chase has quickly climbed to the tier of my all-time favorite authors. Her imagination, humor, and heart are poured into every beautiful and brilliant word she writes, words that sparkle like diamonds, and books that are PURE GOLD. Emma Chase doesn’t simply write stories; she pens escapes from reality, adventures where I free-fall so hard that I don’t want to surface for air; I don’t want to stop dreaming.

This book shone in beauty and brilliance like a diamond, lighting me up. Royally Matched CAUGHT MECLAIMED ME…CROWNED ME in BOOK BLISS. My heart is still chasing the high of Royally Matched, a hypnotic and heartfelt tale that hit me like Cupid’s arrows, dart after dart, straight to the heart.

Royally Matched was my humor…my heat…my heart…my heaven. Royally Matched was a MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN!!! With a SWEET SIGH and permanent smile etched on my face, I’m still floating on Cloud Nine where I feel like Cinderella, royally hitched to this fairy tale forever. I’m still dreaming too…DREAMING BIG.

Alright guys, I have a confession to make.

The last month has been nothing but difficult. Trying to balance work, family duties and the expiring deadline of my dissertation is rather stressful and consuming, and I've been constantly exhausted, not only physically, but mentally as well. I can't tell you how many books I started only to put them aside because I couldn't find the energy to continue them. As if my lifeforce, which consists mostly of literature, was drained, and all that was left behind was a shell that talked, ate, slept and smiled. For me, reading has always been a way to escape reality, but also a way to cope with reality. Deprived of my haven and my crutch, I could feel pieces of me chipping away, scattered by reality, and I could do nothing but watch. Why am I telling you all these? Because Emma Chase was the cure. Because her words were the glue to put back together the pieces that make me, well, me. Because she gave me hope, laughter, and love, healed my dreamer's mind that was suffering, and gave me the fairytale I needed so desperately. And I can't thank her enough for that.

“If nightmares can come true, and sometimes they do...then so can our happiest dreams.”

Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, Prince of Wesco, is wild. Selfish. Disorderly. And definitely not ready to be king. So when a producer approaches him, asking him whether he would be interested in participating in a reality show Bachelor-like, with twenty noble women fighting for his affection, he can't help but agree. If he's to go down, why don't go down with a bang?

Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum is a librarian. A shy girl who is not particularly fond of receiving attention and prefers books to new people. She's waiting for a Colonel Brandon, a reliable, grounded man to love her and be her harbor. But when her sister joins the reality show named Matched and she is forced to babysit her, she comes across the carefree prince and to her surprise she finds a sweet, caring and loyal man, that makes her want something different. Can the shy bookworm tame the reckless prince?
“I want to change the world with you at my side, holding your hand. I love you, Sarah, and whatever happens, I promise there won’t be a day that I don’t love you with all that I am.”

A dashing romance.
I've read enough books by Emma Chase to know by now that when I want something uplifting, amusing, sexy and swoony, she always delivers. Royally Matched, though, was different. It featured all her trademark elements, but she also added heartwarming. Heartwarming to cause a swelling of tenderness and affection in your chest, sweet and adorable to turn you to warm jelly, and so, so romantic. Of course there were also witty banters, funny dialogues, dirty talking and steamy action beneath the sheets to make you blush, but I think Emma Chase this time focused on the connection that built up between Henry and Sarah and the way it changed them. Henry became calmer, more responsible and dependable, while Sarah started living and fighting her fears that held her back. They complemented each other perfectly, and the last chapters were filled with so many emotions and a tear or two. It was magical.

“You are woven into my soul and you are wrapped around my heart.”

Royally Matched was woven with the essence of dreams every booklover has secretly wanted to come true at least once or twice in their lives. And for the way it mended my broken wings, it will always hold a special place in my heart.
“My story hasn’t been written yet … but I know it begins with you.”

*****FIVE IN LOVE WITH THE ROYALS OF WESSCO STARS*****
{ARC Generously Provided by Author}

”I can’t be with you because I’m waiting for Colonel Brandon.”

“Who the fuck is Brandon?”

“He’s serious and maybe a little boring, but he loves Marianne. He’s dependable and steady, romantic and proper. That’s what I want; that’s who I’m supposed to be with.”

“Let me make sure I have this right: you can’t kiss me because some wanker from a book named Willoughby fucked over some other girl from a book named Marianne?”

Ladies, get ready to go on a romantic and laugh-out-loud adventure with the younger Prince of Wessco! I promise you this is a series that is guaranteed to have you laughing, swooning, and PANTING over the sinfully seductive Royals of Wessco!! Although this book can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend you read the first book because honestly, it was just as superb and who doesn’t want to get their fill of some devilishly gorgeous English Princes??!! Emma Chase has successfully created another fantastic series that is sure to please her loyal fans and will definitely bring her some new adoring ones as well.

 photo RM-FB-promo-10_zpservssxvs.jpg

We met Prince Henry in the first book and have come to know him as the charming and carefree Royal who was both adored by his country and family as well. Poor Henry is now the next in line to become the King of Wessco, as his older brother abdicated the throne to be able to marry the American girl with no ties to royalty, who stole his heart. Henry is not taking the new responsibilities too well and has been doing his best to avoid his new reality by drinking himself into a stupor. The Queen takes pity on him and tells him to go off to one of their secluded palaces for a couple of months to get his act together. While he should be taking the time to learn the policies and laws of his country, he ends up agreeing to be the latest bachelor of the reality show called ”Matched”. Twenty of the most beautiful single women of royal lineage will spend the next two months at his palace while competing for Prince Henry’s heart. This is just an excuse for Prince Henry to have some fun and he has absolutely no intention of finding a fiancé. But when he runs into the beautiful and shy sister of one of the contestants, he finds himself being completely bewitched by her.

Lady Sarah and Prince Henry have met briefly before and even back then there was a spark between them. Sarah is a Librarian and nothing gives her greater joy than her beloved books. Bronte and Austen are some of her favorites. Sarah is almost painfully shy and tries to not draw attention to herself but she unknowingly captures Prince Henry’s full attention. He ends up spending every free moment away from the reality show with her. Sarah brings him a feeling of inner tranquility and her strong belief in him, inspires Henry to want to rise up to the expectations of the Queen and his country. But Henry is not the only one affected by this relationship, Sarah, who always tends to avoid situations that place her in the spotlight, has acquired confidence that she lacked for most of her life. Sarah is putting herself out there in what would be considered scary situations for her and finding her inner strength.

 photo RM-COMING Author-FB-banner_zpsulgw3ofn.jpg

Henry and Sarah soon get entangled romantically and now the reality show becomes a nuisance for the both of them. Can Sarah deal with Henry continuing to be the star of a fake matchmaking reality show? What a strange pair we are. The sad boy and the frightened girl.

I couldn't have picked a better book to read on Valentine's Day. This book! ALL OF THE FEELS! For someone that grew up on the classics and adores all thing Jane Austen, this story was calling to my inner mushy parts. This heroine is my spirit animal. A more shy and introverted version of my spirit animal, but still. It melted my cold black heart. I'm seriously on the swoon train, on the way to swoon city here and I plan on riding the train over and over and over again. Don't get me started on the perfection that's Henry or the laugh out loud bits and the glorious writing. Because gah! Just. GAH. Where do I even begin?
There are meetings in books that stand out, that alter the course of the story. Profound encounters between characters when one soul seems to say to the other, “There you are—I’ve been looking for you.”

Henry is a boisterous, quick-witted, happy go lucky ladies man. The wit and humor is strong with this one, ladies, and I loved it. I LOVED IT SO HARD.
Not that kind of proposition. I don’t want to sleep with you, Henry.”
“Who said anything about sleeping? I’m talking about sex. Good sex. Lots of it.”
That puts a flush on her pretty cheeks and she laughs. “I don’t want to have sex with you.”
I pat her hand. “Now you’re just being silly. The cat-and-mouse game can be tantalizing, but it’s not necessary.” My voice drops to a whisper. “I’m a sure thing.”

It's exactly what you would expect from an Emma Chase male POV. Pure. Awesome.

Henry is quick to jokes and smiles but if there's one thing he struggles at, it's politicking. Much to his disappointment. The one thing he yearns for is his grandmother's approval. As the heir to the throne since his older brother abdicated, he can't seem to do anything right. So what's one more grand bad decision in a line of them? May as well star in his very own royal version of the Bachelor. Except the last thing he expects is to meet the unlikeliest of women that takes his breath away.

Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum is a shy, introverted bookworm. She's the exact opposite of everything about him. It's funny because I'm not typically a reader that enjoys the shy and mousy heroines, but there was just something so endearing about Sarah that tugged at my every heart string. It was impossible not to like her, to connect and to feel for her.

Sarah only goes to the show to support her sister and to narrowly escape a project at work that would be a nightmare come true for her; force her to speak publicly. Whatever her reason may be, the last thing she expected was the attention of Prince Henry. And as much as she thinks that he's everything she doesn't need and guaranteed to break her heart, his presence is a magnet that seems to draw her into his orbit with a mere look.
He’s so damn comfortable, so sure and confident in his own skin. And he makes me feel that way too. Beautiful and bold. Brave. Like I could do anything—say anything—be anything. But at the moment, all I want to be is his.

The romance in this book? OH MY FEELS!!!! This is by far, one of the swooniest books I've read from Emma to date. It was pure perfection. I mean, yes, it was also absolutely sexy. But it was so much more than that, too. It made you feel all mushy and warm. It was as sweet as it was sexy and you couldn't help but fall head over heels for both Henry and Sarah. They may not make sense together at first, but their connection was such a palpable one that you're rooting for them from the very start. I adored it. Oh my god, you guys, I adored it so hard!!
My darling girl. I’ve never had someone who was just mine, body and soul—mine to protect and hold and love. And that’s what Sarah is . . . she belongs to me now. We belong to each other.

Do you see?!!!

Look, if this book isn't on your TBR you're seriously missing out. It packed everything I loved into one incredibly satisfying read. It had humor, romance, steam, AMAZING characters, a perfect story, and flawless writing as only Emma Chase is capable of. It. Was. EVERYTHING.
I’m not going to fall. I can’t. Because Henry has shown me how to fly.

You know when you read a love story that speaks to your heart and leaves you feeling something like this????

Royally Matched, the 2nd book in Emma Chase's fabulously funny and heart-warming Royally Series was one of those books that had me on a glorious "high" from page 1 until THE END! This is Prince Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook's, heir to the crown of Wessco, after his brother Nicholas gave up his crown to become king for love, story

I loved the first book, Royally Screwed, https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... which was totally fabulous but WOW..........Henry's story...........I beyond loved it.

By now, after so many amazing reviews that have been written, everyone knows what this story is all about.............Plain, book lover and sweet heroine............
 photo 7c7ed1e062856d380de3879c9ec68ad1_zps3nlem7wg.jpg
meets up again (she and the Henry met albeit very briefly in the first book)with the wickedly charming and handsome and carefree fun, lovable and gorgeous Prince........

What a strange pair we are. The sad boy and the frightened girl.
What I loved -

The writing was sparkly, smart, witty and breezy.....I had a smile on my face the entire time I was turning each page.

The dialogue was absolutely brilliant. I was rolling on the floor with laughter a lot.

The interaction between Sarah and Henry was stunning...
“I think you might be a bully, Prince Henry.”
“Well, in grade school I did enjoy pulling on the girls’ braids. But these days I only tug on a woman’s hair in a very specific situation.” His voice drops lower. “Let me know if you’re like a demonstration.”
The build-up of Henry and Sarah's love story. There were so many sweet and funny moments ...too many to note them down here.....

The secondary characters were just as engaging........

This was a total fairytale.......

A funny, sexy, sweet and totally addictive story.

One of my favourite quotes:
“You shouldn’t be afraid of dying, Sarah—everyone does it. The only thing to be scared of is not living before you do.”

Go on, read this series if you love romance, love and a HEA!!!! And me....still thinking about the Prince and the Librarian!! And still feeling GOOD!!!

Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, Prince of Wessco: Playboy. Wild child. Next in line to the throne of Wessco.

Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum: Book nerd. Shy, quiet, and sometimes timid. Prefers to stay out of the spotlight.

These two together? PERFECTION!!!!!

description

After reading about Henry in Royally Screwed, words could not describe how excited I was to learn he would be getting a book of his own. He is HYSTERICAL, sarcastic, and his “I don’t really give a shit attitude” is SO entertaining. Now in line for the throne, Henry is thrust into politics and responsibilities he does not want.

“But I’ve never been very good at doing what I’m told. It’s a problem. Or a reflex. If they say left, I go right. If they say sit, I jump. If they say behave, I get drunk and spend the weekend screwing all three of the Archbishop’s triplet nieces. They were nice girls. I wonder what they’re doing this Friday?”

So what does he do?

He signs up for a reality TV show called “Royally Matched” where 20 single women will date him in hopes to marry and become his future Queen. Henry knows damn well he most likely won’t be getting serious with any of these gals, and this show will most likely piss the Queen off, but being the nuisance he is, he does it anyway.

Sarah tags along with her sister who is one of the contestants on the show. And the instant she meets Henry, his flirtatious nature comes out.

“And what about you? Is there any wild in you, Teet-bottom?”
My cheeks go up in flames. “Not even a little. I’m the boring one. The good one.”
His teeth scrape his lower lip and it looks . . . naughty. “Corrupting the good ones is my favorite pastime.” Oh yes, definitely a Willoughby. I hug my book to my chest. “I’m not corruptible.”
His smile broadens. “Good. I like a challenge.”

And even though there are 20 girls clawing for his attention, Henry can’t seem to get sweet Sarah out of his mind.

“I could show her what dirty really looks like.”

 photo t_zpsoi24utwn.gif

Now let me stop here and just say this: Emma Chase should forever be dubbed the Queen of Romance after this book. I have loved every hero she has ever written, but something about this smooth talking man had me weak in the knees.

But now . . . now it makes sense. Because I would give up a crown for her. I would give up my name, my title—I would trade my country, forfeit my birthright, lie, kill, cheat, and steal, for this. For her.

A smile never left my face while reading this. And I felt the constant need to fan myself.

When he reaches the bed, he wraps his hand around my ankle and jerks me down to the edge. “I’ve been thinking about this all day.”
It’s only when I speak that I realize I’m breathless. “About what?”
And the man who will be my king sinks to his knees before me. “About tasting you. I’m going to lick you until my tongue gives out. Any objections?”
Oh God . . . His lips slide into an adorably crooked half-smile.
“Speechless, love? Was it something I said?”

You want a feel-good romance packed with emotion, humor, and steam? Emma Chase is your gal. You want a steamy and passionate read that will also have you cracking up? Royally Matched is the book.

I adore this woman’s writing, and will forever be a fan of the stories she creates. Her characters are one of a kind, and her writing makes you fall in love with love.

I admit that I was a bit apprehensive after reading the blurb because I'm not much a fan of books that use "reality tv" as a trope. I find them to be tacky usually. However, I was really impressed with how this was used. More so that it felt like a tool to getting the story where it needed to be more so than the focus of it. Well done.

I was eager to experience how Henry would mature and grow, and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. The person who he starts the story being is most certainly not who we know at the end. Sarah was perfect for him, even with her quirks. She brought out something in him that aspired to be more but not in a way that changes who he is at the core. Their courtship and bonding is full of good humor and tender moments and even more, a beautiful friendship. Their intimate moments were scorching hot.

"It makes you turn so many lovely shades. Is it just your cheeks that blush"? His gaze drags down my body, as if he can see beneath my clothes. "Or does it happen everywhere?"

"I think you might be a bully, Prince Henry."
"Well, in grade school I did enjoy pulling on the girls' braids. But these days I only tug on a woman's hair in a very specific situation." His voice drops lower. "Let me know if you'd like a demonstration."

The writing was excellent. The pace was consistent and strong: keeping me on the hook for the duration. The book was everything I could've asked for and more. I was thoroughly entertained.

Safety: Henry is on a show where he has to go on "dates" with 10 women. Nothing happens with them even though he initially thinks of them in terms of his previously promiscuous lifestyle. h is a virgin. No rape. Yes to abuse. May be an emotional trigger.

WOOHOOOOO!!! I just read this royally FUN, SEXY, WITTY, and light-hearted new book!!! It was a delightful spin on the bad boy falls for good girl romance with a whole lot of SWOOON and a dash of ANGST to spice things up!! The hero and heroine were complete opposites — he was a party-loving playboy, while she was a shy, quiet librarian who loved to curl up with a good book — and it was so much fun to watch them falling in love! If you're looking for a new ROMANTIC COMEDY to read, definitely try this!

Another royal road to true love?

Henry is bored and he hates that he has to take the place of Nicholas on the throne. He does not want to be a King. He has always been the irresponsible little brother, the playboy, the one who defied orders and protocol. He loves drinking and partying. The life at the palace is choking him. His grandmother, the Queen, is torturing him. She talks about responsibilities, she makes him study laws and history and she forces him to take decisions for the wellbeing of his subjects.

Poor Henry…. When the TV producer, Vanessa Steele, approaches him with a proposition about a reality show in which he will choose his future Queen between 20 beautiful royal girls, at first he laughs. Later on, he agrees for no particular reason besides boredom.
Sassy Penelope will be one of these girls in the show. Lady Sarah Von Titebottum, her sister, will try to avoid her obligations and she will be Penelope’s assistant in the show.

“And what about you? Is there any wild in you, Teet-bottom?”
My cheeks go up in flames. “Not even a little. I’m the boring one. The good one.”
His teeth scrape his lower lip and it looks . . . naughty.
“Corrupting the good ones is my favorite pastime.”

This is how Henry introduces himself to virginal bookworm Sarah. Sarah is clever and she likes reading historical romances and classical love stories: Emily Brontë, Charlotte Brontë and Jane Austen. She knows what kind of guy Henry is. He is charming, handsome, cocky, sure of himself, a real prince. It will be the easiest thing for him to shatter her sensitive heart. Anyway, he has already warned her.

Henry and Sara have met before. In “Royally Screwed”, Sarah and her sister Penelope met with Nicholas, Olivia and Henry at a tavern. Nicholas was really interested in shy Sarah – even from that time.

“Lady Sarah. Pity—she could be pretty, if she didn’t dress like a monk in drag."
...
“I wouldn’t mind getting a peek at what’s under Miss Sense and Sensibility’s long skirt. With a name like Titebottum, it must be good.”

At the secluded castle, as the show proceeds, Henry and Sarah become best friends. They share secrets, intimate moments, feelings. They talk about loss and pain. They sleep together, because it is the only way Henry can find peace. They will be together during night, but they will hesitate to talk about love. There are still doubts and worries about a common future.

Sarah is a nice girl. She is like a heroine from a historical book, like she has jumped out of the pages of a book and she has landed in the arms of playboy Henry. Henry is a guy who enjoys living in the present, but he has to compromise to understand Sarah.

I have to be honest; I have difficulties picturing them together. It was not like Nicholas and Olivia who clicked straight away. Sarah and Henry have to try so hard to be together and to grow up.
I was feeling exhausted just to watch them trying until the book finished. By the end of the book, I really missed the carefree Henry.

Henry... he is really a cute funny guy, but Nicholas is still the Prince (and King) of my heart... Truthfully, I am still gutted that Nicholas lost the throne because he followed his heart.

If Henry could change the archaic laws about virginity, Nicholas could definitely change the archaic laws about the royalty of the future Queen. I am not even sure why he chose to abandon his throne. He was born and raised to be a King.

So if there is a voting somewhere, I vote for Nicholas. I am sorry, Henry…

5 WOW, MR. Prince, WOW Stars

Royally Matched is a standalone and is part of the Royally series. Royally Matched exceeded my expectations and so much more. I set the bar pretty HIGH on this one considering I loved the first book A LOT, but that Emma Chase. Emma Chase knows how to write a feel good, non-stop read, belly full of laugher book. Gah, I can’t stop gushing and blushing over this book.

Royally Matched was excellent, wonderful, a pleasant surprised and exactly what I needed to put a MEGA smile on my face.

I love me a good Prince book, but you put in a reality show and it just makes it ten times better. If you are looking for more books like this (but not that same, but has the same look and feel) you should try The Consequence of Revenge by Rachel Van Dyken or The Selection Series by Kiera Cass.

Henry is in a pickle, he didn’t think he would become king, but what do you know, he will be and now he has to stop his partying ways and grow up. I love Henry, I loved him in Royally Screwed and I super love him in Royall Matched. He’s loyal, fun, lovable and incredibly yummy. I love his wit, charm and presence in the book.

Sarah and Pen are sisters. They were both asked to go on a reality TV show where girls would try to win the crown and stand beside the Prince. This isn’t Sarah’s cup of tea, but Pen wants to go into TV production and looks at it as an opportunity. So they both go in, Pen as a contestant and Sarah as her plus one.

I SUPER love Sarah. She’s a nerdy book worm librarian, how much more awesome can you make a Heroine? She’s simply endearing, sweet and intelligent. You mix Sarah and Henry together and there’s just gobbles of fun, laughter and nice tension.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed this Royally Matched. I was laughing out loud and devouring this book from cover to cover.

The characters are enjoyable to read and I love the chemistry between Sarah and Henry. There was never a dull moment and I never wanted it to end.

I highly recommend!

I just knew from the moment I met Prince Henry in Royally Screwed that I’d fall for him. Hook, line, and sinker. God save the King!

When Prince Nicholas abdicated the throne for his love of American Olivia ( Royally Screwed ), the crown and everything attached to it is passed on to his younger brother, Henry. Prince Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook has no choice but to clean up and learn what it takes to be the future King of Wessco. He’s not one to follow rules, and it’s hard to change when he’s been like that his whole life.

But I’ve never been very good at doing what I’m told. It’s a problem. Or a reflex. If they say left, I go right. If they say sit, I jump. If they say behave, I get drunk and spend the weekend screwing all three of the Archbishop’s triplet nieces.”

He is shipped off to a remote castle so he can focus on learning the roles of a future king. But before he truly lets go of his old life, he wants one last hurrah. So when a director approaches him to star in a The Bachelor-type show called Matched: The Royal Edition, he decides to do it. He just doesn’t tell his beloved grandmother, Queen Lenora, about it.

Twenty eligible ladies (a.k.a. virgin women from powerful and influential families) compete to win Henry’s heart and possibly the role as the future queen of Wessco. Not that all of the contestants are virgins, of course. They’re included to add drama, spice and comedic relief in the TV show.

Lady Sarah and Penelope Titebottum are both eligible bachelorettes, but only Penelope, who has Hollywood dreams, wants to join. Sarah has no interest in getting involved with such a high-profile man and would rather spend her time in peace with her books. However, their mother will only allow Penelope to join the show if Sarah goes with her. She’ll go, but only because she wants to escape a public-speaking task at the library.

This is officially my favorite Emma Chase book. I loved everything about it. Seriously. It was sweet, hilarious, hot, and swoon-worthy. My heart was ready to burst by the end of the book because I had so much love for Henry and Sarah!

THINGS I LOVED:

♔Prince Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook.

I love this man so much. Prince Nicholas said something about Henry that would sum up Henry and his charm.

…they will follow Henry because they love him. They’ll see in him their son, brother, best friend, and even if he mucks it up now, they will stick with him because they will want him to succeed.”

That’s exactly how I feel about him. Obviously, Henry needs a lot of training before he could be considered ready for his future role as king of Wessco. Spares aren’t usually groomed into future kings. But Henry has the heart and sincerity of a true leader.

Other than that, not only does he look like a model and talks dirty, he plays the guitar. A musician prince. A girl’s wet dream. The guy is also thoughtful, playful, and romantic! I’m swooning right now!!!

♔Lady Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum
I still laugh every time I read her name because apparently I’m an adult with a mind of a ten-year old, but I digress. Lady Sarah is one of us—a bibliophile! Before meeting Henry and accompanying her sister in the castle for Matched: Royal Edition, she worked in a library. She wears glasses, hates public speaking but is quite outspoken when surrounded by friends, bibliophiles, and Austenites. You read that right. Sarah is an Austenite.

She’s a little awkward, but once you get to know her, you’ll see she’s a sweet and funny person who can be quite outspoken when it’s about something she’s passionate. #Feminist

♔Jane Austen references.
Y’all know how much I love Jane Austen. I was grinning the every time Sarah talked about Austen novels, especially Pride and Prejudice and Sense and Sensibility. I want Sarah’s collection!!!

♔THE BANTER.
Emma Chase writes hilarious dialogue, and it’s easy to see the chemistry between her characters. Royally Matched is not an exception. I was laughing and gushing because of these two. Ah-mazing.

♔FRIENDS TO LOVERS + SLOW BURN.
The attraction and intrigue are there from the start. When Henry met Sarah, he’s curious about her and wants to know about her. I love love stories that start off with friendship. It was also easier to get to know both characters. It was sweet to see Henry and Sarah opening up to each other, and even sweeter to see them falling in love! By then, it’s basically a long and hot foreplay. Delayed gratification. And you all know what goes after that.

♔THE ENDING!!!
I love grand gestures as much as the next romance reader does, what I love more is what happens after the grand gesture. Emma Chase gave these two the ending they deserved. It wasn’t just about their love; it was also about their growths as characters, and I am all for that.

And I have to say this, I LOVE PRINCE NICHOLAS AND HIS LOVE AND SUPPORT FOR HENRY.

Royally Matched is standalone romance novel told in alternating POVs. It made me laugh, cry, swoon, and blush. If you’re looking for a fun read with witty banter, amazing chemistry, great sex, and a wonderful HEA, you will love Royally Matched! Recommended to readers age 18 and above due to strong language and explicit sexual content.

“Once upon a time, a pitiful lad met a shy, lovely lass and together they became something more... something strong and beautiful and forever.”

I just found a new favorite book and I'm in love and I'm swooning like no one's business!

description

description

Oh God, Prince Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook and Lady Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum might as very well overdose me from their cuteness. Their story was a complete surprise.

If you're familiar with the reality TV dating show The Bachelor, then that's what this book is like. The difference is that this book is a lot more interesting and the highlight focuses only on the male lead and his romantic interest and not with the other girls who are involved. When Prince Henry Pembrook, heir to the throne of Wessco, was proposed by a television producer to put him in the spotlight as the star of the reality dating show Matched: The Royal Edition which will be held in his castle, he considered it. After all, he's about to become a king and delving into this reality show will give him as much fun as he could have before he dedicates himself to the kingdom. The idea excites him since he's about to meet women from different royal families who will be vying for his heart. That being said, you might think he fell in love with one of the girls... Nope, he was rather smitten with the shy, beautiful librarian named Sarah who happens to be there at the castle, not as a participant, but as a companion to her sister who joins the show.

“You are every dream I never let myself believe could come true.”

I loved how Emma Chase made me think the book is about one thing but it turns out to be about something quite different. Diving into this book, I expected the story to have some estrogen drama like The Bachelor (or like The Selection) but I was happy to find out that the women didn't make the competition much of a big deal... like they were just pretty chill about it. They weren't even desperate to steal Henry's attention (which would absolutely lead to drama) so imagine how I became so happy about this. On top of that, I didn't expect some of the girls to be downright hilarious and unbelievable!

Reading this book made me feel as though I'm reading a historical regency romance and it has something to do with the vibrant setting, the well-described royal characters, and the rich storyline. I couldn't stop swooning over this book especially when we talk about the romantic build-up between Henry and Sarah. These two... *takes a deep breath* have the best chemistry than any other characters ever. I loved the absence of insta-love and how they started off as friends, getting to know each other without feeling an ounce of awkwardness, and enjoying each others company while they're together. Plus, Sarah didn't freak out while Henry is all over her. Their relationship was something that I don't often encounter in a book. It developed gradually which allowed their feelings to deepen in a way that really makes me smile.

“I think this is how it is when you're in love. And nothing seems too big or too scary, because you know whatever happens, you won't be facing it alone.”

What also made me feel remarkably drawn to was the way Henry gently treated Sarah at all times. He took care of her like she's a fragile porcelain and ugh... my feels were in overdrive!

Sarah is one of the most likable heroines I've read about. I liked her character so much and it's not just because she's a bookworm and I can totally relate with her nerdiness but because she's such an adorable lady. She's kind and she's not pretentious. She's also not whiny and you can't expect her to be too dramatic even if she has a somewhat dark past which is the reason why she experiences a particular neurological disorder. She's simply the kind of character that is worth caring about.

“Because sometimes, life is very much like a book-- we don't get to write our own ending; we have to accept the one that's already on the page.”

Henry and Sarah's character development here was also amazing. I loved how both of them grew to be the kind of person that is worthy to be called a King and a Queen. Their characters have a lot of depth and I felt really proud of them-- especially at that epilogue.

“I want to be a better man for you and because I love you so much, I actually believe I can be.”

In true Emma Chase fashion, there were lots of funny scenes that cracked me up. I also enjoyed the sexy times because why not? Prince Henry absolutely knows how to get his way. Ha!

“My story hasn't been written yeat, but I know it begins with you.”

I am so happy to have read this book. I actually felt kind of regretful that I didn't read it as soon as it came out. But I'm still glad I did because until this very moment, the story still lingers in my mind. Royally Matched, as a whole, was yet another example of PERFECTION in a romance book. There should be more books like this, please!

Reading is knowledge and knowledge is power; therefore reading is POWER. The power to know and learn and understand...but also the power to dream. Stories inspire us to reach high, love deep, change the world and be more than we ever thought we could be. Every book allows us to dream a new dream.

How can you resist a book after reading that line? :)

This is not my first Emma Chase book and even if I am familiar with her style, I am always blown away by how amazing she can write.. so diverse, funny and catchy. I loved Tangled and The Legal Briefs Series and now, with this new and awesome book I believe that she is back better than ever.

Royally Screwed was a pleasant surprise for me, introducing characters that connected with me instantly and a plot that kept me hanging until the last pages. I have a confession to make.. I was not over my head in love with Henry, all my focus being on Nicholas, but now, after reading his book, I admit I was wrong and judged him despite not knowing a great deal about his story and circumstances.

Royally Matched has Henry, Nicholas brother, as our leading man, the future king of Wessco and a very disorientated young man who, out of a sudden, has this terrible burden to bare. We can consider partially that Henry is not even capable of taking care of himself, but of a whole state.. but he will be such a surprise for you, that even Nicholas might feel threatened. In his quest for inspiration and self discovery, Henry gets a unique proposal from a TV producer. To host a royalty version of Matched, meaning a lot of girls will compete for his heart, and maybe in the process he will find his queen. He agrees, mainly because he is not the obeying type and little does he knows that the purpose of this TV show will be obtain. He will find Sarah Von Titebottum , a young lady who will accept to take part in this show only to accompany her sister, Penelope. But of course Henry will attract her in an non explicable way and they will fell in love during the shoot for Matched: A Royal Edition.

I loved the characters to death. Henry was sooo funny, so strong but so vulnerable in the same time. He had this exterior that was very hard to crack and when Sarah finally managed to do it, the funny and stable Henry was replaced by a person who lost a lot in life. His parent were taken away from him at a fragile age, he adopted this wild way of leaving, but only to distract himself of the pain he really felt. Other incidents and tragedies will take a toll on him, making him this careless guy we got to know in Royally Screwed. At a first glance, he didn't change, but when he will interact with Sarah and open up to her, we will see the pain and feelings he hid from the word, including his family. He is not sure he will make a great king, he doesn't have a clue about laws and consequences, he was just projected into this royalty responsibility without even being asked.

Sarah will be his balance and I loved her as a heroine and kind of seen myself in her character. I loved how sensitive she was, how aware she was about everything around her. Her passion for books made me love her more, resonate with her and her believes. I liked her clumsiness, her lack of courage for speaking in public but mainly, her love for Henry. I had no doubt she was in love with him and you could actually feel the trust she put in him, in their relationship. Above that, her delicate and tragic past made me love her more and thumbs up for Henry for loving her so deeply.

So, from all this infinite talk about this couple, you can really understand how much I loved him, because despite the fragility of their hearts, their insecurities they both had, they were so good for each other and managed to heal old wounds that nobody could.

The book was fantastic and praises to Emma for sharing this fairy tale story with us, because as Sarah said in the quote above, it is important to dream every time. You dream in books, in love stories, in people you share things with, but that is your choice and feel content about it. And Emma's stories really made me dream that fairy tales exist.

5 stars!

“To thine own self be true.”

Royally Matched is the story of Henry the prince, next in line to the throne. Henry’s brother abdicated the throne for the woman he loves, and Henry has now been thrust into a role he is unprepared for and never thought he would have. With the new responsibility on his shoulders, Henry agrees to a bachelor type tv show where he is to look for the love of his life.

Sarah is a young librarian, technically a lady by name. When her family is approached to be a part of the tv series, her sister jumps at it and Sarah joins in to get out of a work obligation. But Sarah doesn’t want to participate in the game for the prince and comes as her sisters assistant.

Henry and Sarah become friends while filming and get to know each other. And as time goes by feelings begin to develop on both sides. But Sarah is unsure of herself and of Henry, and Henry has his own issues and obligations holding him back.

“If nightmares can come true, and sometimes they do…. then so can our happiest dreams.”

I think Emma Chase writes some of the best escapist romance out there. Normally a royal romance with sweet moments wouldn’t be my thing, but I loved every second of this novel. Chase is able to deliver a sweet and heartfelt romance and at the same time can be cheeky and poke fun at the real world.

I was able to devour this book fairly quickly, it’s a fun and lighthearted read. Sarah as a heroine was so cute and enchanting, I love when the girl who is normally overlooked gets noticed by the hero. There was a lot more to Henry than he let others see, and Sarah was very perceptive at reading him. Yeah sometimes he messed things up, like a true Chase hero, but ultimately he got his shit together and was able to pull it off.

If you’re looking for that perfect book to snuggle up to on a lazy Sunday, this is the book for you. Emma Chase is a constant delight and I cannot wait to read more from her.

“I’ve never had someone who was just mine, body and soul-mine to protect and hold and love. And that’s what Sarah is… she belongs to me now. We belong to each other.”

I’m not sure I can tell you how much I loved this book, but I’m going to try. Let’s start with the emotional aspect of the story. Sarah and Henry have been through some seriously tragic situations in their short lives. They both strive to be better people despite those issues. I loved getting inside Henry’s head to understand better why he seemed like such a hot mess in book one. Don’t fear, the character development is extraordinary. Henry more than changes the reader’s perception in this book.

Up next is Nicholas. Although he doesn’t feature prominently in this book, he set me off on my first crying jag. OMG, he is sweetness and love! The love and faith he has in his brother is immense and incomparable. I loved him before, but flove him now.

Next up, Pen and Sarah. These two sisters couldn’t be more different. They’re so much like my sister and I. I’m tall, she’s short. She loud, I’m not. I could go on and on. It’s the same with these sisters. Despite all their differences, they love and support each other. When the chips are down they know they can count on each other. Totally loved that! They shared a super sweet moment that sent me off on another crying jag. LOL

And last, but not least Sarah. Sarah is sweet, shy, quirky, and a total book nerd. I only share one of those qualities, but I connected with her character immediately. I knew her story would be interesting, but didn’t consider how much it would affect me. Once her secret is revealed guess what I did. Yep, cried again!

Okay, now that we’re done with that I have to say I wasn’t a sobbing crying mess throughout this book. It’s a super fun and sexy read. I just wanted to highlight the emotional aspect of the story beforehand. Henry is hilarious, flirty, sexy, totally inappropriate at time, but BBF perfection. He and Sarah are super cute together.

Here’s what I absolutely loved: This book finally gave me an excuse to totally perv out on Joseph Morgan. I kept picturing him while reading Henry. Here’s some of my inspiration. You’re welcome!

'"Speechless, love? Was it something I said?" His hands slide up my skirt, grasping my panties and skimming them off my hips and down my legs.'

 photo EC_Klaus.gif

'"That's good, so good, love."'

 photo EC_Klaus2.gif

'"That's it, love. That's it."'

 photo EC_Klaus1_1.gif

So to sum up, Royally Matched has it all! It is a well-rounded royally perfect romance! Buy or borrow this book as soon as possible, you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend it.

Title: Royally Matched
Series: Royally #2
Author: Emma Chase
Release date: February 21, 2017
Cliffhanger: No
HEA

To me, this was the perfect fairytale romance. I liked the first book, Royally Screwed, but I LOVED everything about this follow up. The perfection of how these two worked together was indescribable. They illustrate so well why opposites attract couples can be the best kind to read. Henry's devilishly sexy teasing was such a fitting counterpart to Sarah's blushing and easily flustered character. He was spontaneous and the life of the party whereas she liked predictable and avoided socializing.

Ever since we met Sarah in the previous book, I was curious about her background. The episode she had in the bar hinted at some sort of trauma and I knew that the was more than just the invisible girl in the corner. Plus, nerdy heroines are kind of my book crack and she had that written all over her. The fact that she turned out to be a librarian, a book lover, and compared real life people and situations to classical fictional characters made her incredibly endearing.

When we get a glimpse of what Sarah is hiding under her shy exterior, I just fell in love with her even more. Her skill in aikido, her sass and sense of humor that she only lets out with a trusted few, and her strength of character really made her shine.

Henry was the naughty charmer of the family. He's such a wicked tease, used to breaking the rules and having fun. But underneath it all he has the heart of a true leader. When the responsibility of his country's well being is suddenly handed to him, he's completely unprepared.

So what is his answer to this adjustment period? Well, starring in a reality show of course. For one month, he's pushed and prodded by the production team to wine and dine a group of women to be his potential royal match. But it's the quiet girl with the book in her hand that attracts him from the start.

I’m starting to think of it as the Henry Effect, because he makes me feel so many . . . things. Safe and wild and maybe just a little bit mad all at once. Henry makes me want to take a chance. On new experiences. And on him.

Ahhh, this guy gives you all the best feels. He starts out just enjoying his ability to shock and unsettle Sarah, but soon discovers that he enjoys their quiet times together. He's free to be himself around her, and in doing so, brings out her hidden depths. Their late night talks, playing guitar in her bedroom and getting to know one another were so sweet. And he really handled her social anxiety with care and sensitivity. These two were adorable. Their banter had me completely engaged throughout, flipping the pages with a huge smile on my face. This is Emma Chase at her finest in my humble opinion.

“Corrupting the good ones is my favorite pastime.” Oh yes, definitely a Willoughby. I hug my book to my chest. “I’m not corruptible.” His smile broadens. “Good. I like a challenge.”

We really see Henry gain in confidence and shed his careless ways. He matures into the type of man who is a source of strength for his country and the woman he loves. Sarah has always been courageous in how she handled the horror of her past, but her experiences and relationship with Henry help her to grow more self-assured in facing her fears. I adored these two together. It was such a flirty, fun read that on top of it all burned up the pages. Emma Chase gives good romance, I couldn't have asked for more.

I’ve never had someone who was just mine, body and soul—mine to protect and hold and love. And that’s what Sarah is . . . she belongs to me now. We belong to each other.

Royally Matched follows Henry Pembrook as he takes over his brother's position as Prince, who will one day rule his nation. The once wild and crazy playboy now has more responsibilities on his shoulders than he ever thought possible. But that doesn't mean he's calmed down any, and his grandmother and Queen has finally had enough of his irresponsible ways so she sends him away so he can have space to study up on what's to be expected of him.

Henry knows he's going to one day be making many important decisions that will effect his people. And after a chance encounter with an American television producer his first big decision is that he will be a Prince Bachelor on a dating show in order to find his Queen. But the woman he meets that he can't seem to leave alone isn't a contestant, she's the sister of a contender and someone that doesn't seem interested in anything other than her books.

I honestly wasn't sure how I would feel about Henry in his own book because he was a very wild character when we were first introduced to him and he didn't seem like the settling down type. He still had that craziness about him and liked to have fun, but it was mellowed some now that he had so many responsibilities to worry about. I actually ended up really liking his character and he was fun to read about. Especially when he was pursuing Sarah.

Sarah was a character that was very easy to relate to because she related almost everything and everyone to a book. I loved that about her because it's something I find myself doing quite often. She was the complete opposite of Henry, but that's why they were so great together.

The chemistry between Sarah and Henry was amazing and undeniable. I just loved how they were together and how Henry brought Sarah out of her shell some. By the end of the book there wasn't a doubt in my mind that she would make a great Queen for Henry and the people of Wessco. Overall, great book, great characters, and an amazing reading experience.

LOVED IT!!

description

WOW! WOW! WOW! This is like a dream come true. A couple years ago some book friends and I were having a discussion about what kind of stories we’d like to see authors write. I chimed in that I wanted a book like the tv show - The Bachelor. Yes, I watch reality tv so the thought of putting reality tv into my favorite past time - reading - sounded amazing to me. I’m not sure if Ms. Chase got the memo from that conversation but either way, I’m glad she created ROYALLY MATCHED.

Prince Henry is the wild and fun-loving younger brother of Nicolas (book 1). He was the second to the throne until his brother gave up his rights which put Henry front and center to becoming the King. Henry goes away to a remote castle where he’s supposed to be learning his role as the future king. While there he is approached by a reality tv show director wanting to make a special Royal Edition of the Bachelor.

Twenty, supposedly, virgin women vying to win the crown and become the next queen sounded like Henry's kind of fun. What he didn’t plan on was meeting Sarah a girl who is there as an assistant to her sister and not a contestant.

We quickly learn she is the calm - to - his storm. Where he is outgoing and looking for a fun time she’s content to hide behind her books. This is the perfect example of opposites attract!

I say this every time because it’s true- Ms. Chase writes the best male characters. They can charm the pants right off a gal. Their humor leaves you laughing even when you are sure it’s inappropriate. And the way they can banter with us, the reader, leaves you feeling like you're part of the story too. If I was, to sum up, my reading experience of "Royally Matched" with one would it would be ENTERTAINING!

This might be my least favorite of the series, but that's not to say it's bad.
I just didn't get sucked in by their story as much as the others.

description

Again, I'm listening to these (highly recommended because of the sexy voice of Shane East), and I'm listening to them out of order. I mean, I guess I already knew some of the 'spoilers' ahead of time, but whofuckingcares it's a romance - not a mystery/thriller. It's not as though you're on the edge of your seat when it comes to the ending.
Will they get together?!

description

Anyway. The gist is that former party boy, Prince Henry, has been suddenly thrown into the role of future king because his big brother abdicated the throne to be with his true love. <--awww!
It's getting to him and he decides to have a last hurrah of sorts (while pissing in the face of decorum) and starring in a reality tv show. <--basically, a royal version of The Bachelor that they have to keep all hush-hush so that Queen Granny doesn't flip her shit.
Henry thinks it will be fun to screw around for a few months with a bunch of willing women, but it doesn't turn out at all as he expected. But he deserves it because only an idiot would agree to do something that monumentally ridiculous.

description

Enter Sarah, who is tagging along to chaperone her little sister and snag a get out of public speaking card for work. <--Sarah has a lot of social anxieties when in crowds.

description

She and Henry meet, fall in love, have an argument, make up, and eventually, after lots and lots of royal drama, end up with their HEA.

description

I liked it. It was a solid entry, but the main problem was that I didn't connect with Sarah. I know I'm supposed to always relate to the shy bookworm, but I just couldn't. First of all, I'm not shy. At all. I'm that middle aged woman who's jabbering away to strangers in a supermarket & getting to know the people around me in long lines. Public speaking might not be my thing, but only because no one is crazy enough to give me a mic. Second, she was waaaay too into Sense and Sensibility's Colonel Brandon as her perfect hero. He's not even cracking the top 100 for me. It's petty, but I can't relate.

description

I guess in the end, I just didn't see why Henry would be interested in her.
But he was. And they fell in love.

The End.

Take notes, Erin Watt; THIS is what I expected from a broken prince.

description

If I’m supposed to be the Great Royal Hope for my country, we’re all well and truly fucked.

After his brother abdicated the throne, 25 year old carefree and hotheaded Henry just inherited a ton of responsibilities he was never supposed to have. Wanting to do what he does best, party and entertain, Henry agrees to star in a reality show called Matched: Royal Edition. 20 women of nobel blood all gathered in a castle for a four week long party to fight for the princes attention and his hand. Who will end up becoming queen?

description

Where Henry is our loud and carefree hero, Sarah is 'the quiet girl' heroine.
Nervous, shy and slightly paranoid, Sarah doesn't do well with strangers and certainly not in large groups. When her boss forces her to give a presentation at the Northern District Library Symposium, Sarah sees Matched as an opportunity to skip out on her work responsibilities with a royal excuse.

description

This story felt like a fairytale. The tale of an unruly prince who found the queen of his heart, and learned how to be a King. Instead of getting a beautiful dress and glass slippers so the prince will notice her, Henry brings out another side of Sarah.

He’s so damn comfortable, so sure and confident in his own skin. And he makes me feel that way too. Beautiful and bold. Brave. Like I could do anything—say anything—be anything.

Because underneath the shy and self- consciousness is a strong and sarcastic woman with a naughty sense of humor not many people get to meet.

description

This is, how ever, no love at first sight romance. It's a friends to lovers story, and their first meeting in this book sets the tone of the story perfectly.

I did feel like the book became weaker towards the end, hence why I gave it four stars instead of five, but it is definitely a book and a series that I would recommend to fans of romance and NA books.

Also- this book is filled with wonderful quotes!

5 'The Henry Effect' Stars!

Another winner by Emma Chase! I am absolutely adoring this series and these marvelous characters. You want want a sexy royal playboy? You got it! You want a cute cheeky bookworm that makes him fall at her feet with love? You got it! You also want lots of romance, hot AF sex and all the emotions? You SO got it too!

Royally Matched is the second installment in Emma's Royally series and it's now time for the playboy in the family to fall in love. Henry (after how Royally Screwed ended) is about to become king and he needs to find his match. What better way to do it while on a royal reality show? Well.. it seems he will be not very interested in it when he meets the quiet (and sassy!) Sarah.

“Is there any wild in you, Teet-bottom?”
“Not even a little. I’m the boring one. The good one.”
“Corrupting the good ones is my favorite pastime.”

I seriously love how romantic this series is! The heroes are definitely swoon-worthy and to-die-for material. I loved Henry and Sarah to pieces. They seem so different at first but it was pretty clear, as the story went on, that they complement each other really well. The masks they are wearing all the time fall down when they are together and it's so beautiful to see them falling in love.

Henry makes me want to take a chance.
On new experiences. And on him.

For reasons I can’t put my finger on, the fact that this pure, unadulterated lass believes it—that she believes in me—makes me think that the day could come when I believe it too.

Also, let's not forget to mention the crazy chemistry between these two. Boy, does Emma Chase know how to make us swoon and melt all over the place! The sex and the romance is out-of-this-world amazing. And that ending.. I just want to say that if you are a classic novel lover like me, you will absolutely be satisfied with it!

There are no words. We don’t need them. Our hands speak for us—desperate and holding. Our tongues show our wet worship and our eyes speak our confession—our adoration for each other.

Therefore, my rating for Royally Matched with 5 STARS because it was just as good as the first book (with the same principal elements that made my heart sing!) but different in its own way. Henry and Sarah are a brilliant couple that people will surely love to pieces. I can't wait to read the next story (bodyguard.. heck yes!). Highly recommend reading this one!

Finally I found some time to write this review. Thing is, this book stole my heart and my breath. And without a heart and oxygen, writing reviews can get tricky.

So I'll try to analyze it very logically. Otherwise, I fear it would end up being a ranty rant, with no real order behind it.

Style: amazeballs. Funny, entertaining, but with feelings gliding like undercurrents in every section and paragraph.

Characters: Henry: Oh my.. my unruly prince, terrified by the idea of disappointing those who rely on him (which is a whole freaking country!). At first, when he accepted to star in the reality show, I got a little confused. It didn't seem like something which would bring him any clarity. Still, I loved his character. How confident he was with Sarah, how he was the one taking control, but at the same time how surprisingly sweet and adorable. He cherished her feelings above everything else. Plus, he's swoony as hell (and plays the guitar. I may or may not have a thing for guitarists...). There were a couple moment I simply had to put down the book and let my bosom heave like in some '80s historical romance because I couldn't take the feelings.

Sarah: blue-stocking librarian with a traumatic past. She's fragile, beyond fragile, but it was humbling to see her draw confidence from her friendship and afterwards love story with Henry. She's undoubtedly one of my favorite heroines ever. It's so easy to relate, with the way she loves books, is quiet and at times a push over, with her quirks and fears. But also with the unwavering loyalty and fierceness with which she protected her sister. I loved the idea of her having PTSD from what had happened in her past, and how Henry was always so considerate and protective of her. She was his balance, the quiet sea to his stormy weather. Ground him while he freeing her.

Plot The idea of the reality show was funny as hell, and fortunately didn't hinder Sarah and Henry's romance. After the initial introduction, it took the background so that we could get more of our couple. Still, it was perfect to create that blend of drama and humor Chase is so great at crafting. The pace was fast and the final plot twist put a smile on my face while shocking me at the same time, because it showed how much Sarah had changed for the better, going from shying away from the spotlight, full of fear, to taking chances and putting herself out there.

Hotness level At first I was worried, because we all know the clause concerning the v-card of future Queens in Wessco. I feared we wouldn't get to the nookie part until the very end. Instead, I loved how their romance developed and the slow burn was simmering and wonderfully executed. When they finally did it (which was not in the very end, I assure you)... well, let me tell you it made up for all the previous lack of it. (Am I the only one with a fetish for libraries?)

Overall opinion: as you may have guessed, my opinion is ecstatic. This book was amazing. I thought no one could top Olivia and Nicholas, but Henry and Sarah were off the charts terrific. On the one hand, we have a troubled, tortured prince with a passion for music and women, brought to his knees by a sweet, caring, shy bookworm. On the other hand we have said bookworm opening herself up to love for the first time, trusting a man known for his sex-capades and who will teach her what living really means.

All this encased in a frame of amazing supporting characters (I want a book or a novella about Franny!), scandals and gossips, a bit of angst and some groveling too. Let me tell you, I'm not a fan of grand gestures (hence why I hated Tangled), but Henry gives good grovel (I'm not going to spoil it, but his grovel was so on point and personal, even though public, that melted me right to my bones.)

Would I recommend it? Hell, if I could afford it, I'd make hardbacks of this book rain on the city for everyone to read. Hands down one of the swooniest, funnier and just perfect-est stories I've read so far in 2017. This is one absolute re-read.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.25 Royally Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I think it’s safe to say that every girl has always dreamed of being a princess and having prince charming worship them at their feet. We’ve all had that moment where we envision ourselves roaming the halls of the palace, having tea with the queen, and rubbing elbows with the high society would’ve been a dream come true for most of us. But when you have an untamable prince with a bad boy persona, I’m on the first flight to the most elite charm school!!

Henry has done a lot of partying in his days to the point where he forgot most of his indiscretions. But that’s ok because he’s a crown prince and when you’re in the presence of royalty like Henry, bowing down is not the only thing you’ll be doing. Told to clean up his act, Henry is sent to his family’s castle on the other side of town. But boredom is the devil and with a mind like Henry’s, he’s about to get himself some very public attention.

Twenty women vying for your attention in the hopes that they’ll become the new Princess is what Henry has to deal with for the next four weeks. But he’s ready to sow his wild oats and have a little fun before anyone can take him seriously and what better way to do it than have 20 of the hottest women at your Beck and call? That was the plan until he laid eyes on the quiet brunette who would become his ultimate game changer.

“I would give up a crown for her. I would give up my name, my title- I would trade my country, forfeit my birthright, lie, kill, cheat and steal for this.
For her.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Sarah Titebottom (yes that is her last name) has always been a shy girl. Give her a room full of books and she’s the most outspoken, vivacious woman you will ever come across. When her sister gets cast as one of the contestants, she decides to tag along and assist her. Falling a prince is easy but when you’re trying to fly under the radar, falling for the incomparable Henry, could be heart thumping catastrophic. But Henry is a man that when he sees something he wants, he goes after it. And the shy girl that gets lost in her own stories under a tree, is exactly the woman that he wants.

” Corrupting the good ones is my favorite pastime.”

“I’m not corruptible.

His smile broadens.

Good. I like a challenge.”

I LOVED the fact that Sarah was this bookworm who had her own quirks and flaws. She was a very loyal sister who would’ve done anything for her and I really liked that about her. Now as for the chemistry between these two? Everything felt so genuine and heartfelt and I really admired that about them to the point I was envious. If you haven’t read this series yet, you really need to because Emma Chase will make you WANT TO be a Royal.
