In this sweet holiday read, the author brings us a tale of moving past loss to find love again, not only in relationships but in God! Two hurting people with emotional & physical scars trying to understand why things happened and how to move forward into a new “normal”. The author reminded me through Sam & Celeste that hard things happen in life even as a Christian, and we won’t always understand all the why’s—but God is still there with us in the pain and trial & He will bring about healing and restore that which was lost.

I loved both main characters and my heart went out to them for all they had been through. I especially loved the sweet little nephew of Celeste—little Parker—he was a delightful addition! I think he helped both Sam and Celeste to heal from their past, he brought his unconditional love & baby sweetness with him. I also enjoyed watching how they helped each other through their sorrow because of shared pain. And lastly, I appreciate the authors strong faith theme. Hard times come, and we have a God who not only understands, but can heal the hurt and bring us a peace beyond our understanding. A terrific story full of hope, healing, love, faith, and second chances at life!

My hope is that this excerpt from the “Dear Readers” note in the back of the book will encourage you as it did me: “I don’t know if I would be as resilient as Sam or Celeste, but I hope I would cling to my faith. God will see us through our hard times. He loves us with a love so big it can’t be contained. No matter what problems we face, we have a God who cares. This Christmas season, I encourage you to reflect on one of my favorite Bible passages, Philippians 4:7 (NIV) ‘And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus’”

I kept seeing this book on Jill Kemerer's Facebook page and just had to read it! I'm so glad I did. A great stop with well crafted characters and a plot that was totally believable.

Celeste Monroe is raising her baby nephew and has been hired to help take care of an injured Sam Sheffield. Both Celeste and Sam have hopes of avoiding the world, so how will this work?
Don't ever forget that God has a plan for His children.

There are great spiritual lessons here in this book, one in particular ministered to me during a difficult time in my own life. I enjoyed every minute of this book.

Yuletide Redemption
By: Jill Kemerer

I really enjoyed Yuletide Redemption by Jill Kemerer. This is a very good, clean , Christian romance. Sam and Celeste both were in separate accidents and is struggling with theirs lives. Sam was in a boating accident and hardly ever gets out of his wheel chair. Celeste was in a car accident , her best friend was killed , and she was left with her baby nephew ,Parker, to raise. He was less than a year old and I fell in love with him. Sam’s sister hired Celeste to be a caregiver to Sam. Helps him with things he needs done. Sam takes a liking to Celeste right away ,and little Parker he loved. Sam thinks he not husband material for any woman. What does Celeste think?
I was given a free book , but was not told I had to give a positive review.

Yuletide Redemption is a story that involves tragedy, recovery, loss, love and redemption. I did need box of tissues with me while reading this story. There are times when we just can't seem to forgive ourselves and move on in life. Also, times when we blame God and have trouble understanding why something has happened to us.
This is an amazing story that touches the heart, and gives hope for the future.
Celeste and Sam both have something in common and how they work through their obstacles is amazing. I experienced many emotions while reading their story. Sadness and grief turned into happiness and joy when they turned to God. Great story!
I received a copy of this book from the author and this is my personal, honest opinion.

After reading Her Small-Town Romance and seeing how it ended, I knew I HAD to read Sam's story and how he heals from a horrific boating accident (I cried a lot during that hospital scene). My brother was in a life changing motorcycle accident years ago and in reading this story I was very much reminded of what happened to him, but not in sad way. This story resonated with me in a sweet way of how tragedies happen, but how God shows up for us in a major way if we let Him, and the path to moving forward after you've suffered through something. I imagine that MUCH of Sam's emotions and struggles were exactly what my brother experienced and in a way, this story really helped me cope with a painful situation that happened many years ago. I truly love when an author can write a story like that and it brings me hope where I was once heartbroken.

Sam's story is not as sad as I thought it would be and I loved Celeste right away. She reminds me of Jenny in Lindi Peterson's Rich in Hope (highly recommend that one as well, beautiful girl has a scarred face and must heal from it, not sad at all either), one of my all time favorite books :) Celeste is grateful for her parents and all their help, but she is desperately trying to be independent while raising her nephew and getting over the death of her best friend, thinking that she will never be beautiful again unless she can erase her facial scars.

I truly LOVED the authenticity of the characters struggle in this story, but in a respectful and loving manner. I never felt that Sam or Celeste were overreacting or ungrateful, they simply had to find a way to cope with their current situations and believe that God still loved them even after they both had suffered terrible accidents. They both did so with love, tenderness for one another, and courage beyond normal parameters. How they both love Parker was the sweetest part of the story, their protectiveness of him and each other was a real treat in the story!! It was also enjoyable how they were attracted to one another and supported each other :)

The setting and Sheffield family were also a tremendous part of this book, it's winter and Christmas time and I loved that :) The Sheffield family is one of the best I've ever read, they do all they can to support Sam in his injury while giving him love and space. There's one scene he has with his brother, Bryan (from the previous book I mentioned and also loved) that was very precious to me. I wish I had been able to have that conversation with my brother. The scene with Sam and his dad touched me to my core. This is a Love Inspired book, but it goes MUCH deeper than most clean romance novels and I appreciated that.

HIGHLY recommend this story and it can be read as a stand alone, these characters have tremendously blessed me and I look forward to more Kemerer books :)

What a sweet holiday read that is chock full of emotions. Lake Endwell, Michigan is the setting that brings Celeste Monroe and Sam Sheffield together.

Celeste is recovering from a tragic auto accident that takes the life of her best friend Brandy and leaves her to raise her young nephew Parker who's dad Josh, Celeste's brother , was killed in Afghanistan.
This sweet young lady is wracked with guilt even though the accident is not her fault. She is also dealing with her own emotions regarding her physical appearance. The accident has left her with facial scars. It's hard for her to handle being around people in public and their unkind stares and comments.

Sam Sheffield is dealing with his own emotions and recovery from a boating accident. He is left with partial use of his leg and mourns the things he could do but can't do now. He retreats into his home and rarely goes out. He has lots of anger, blames God for what happened, and feels sorry for himself.

When Celeste is hired to help care for Sam, life begins to slowly return as a new normal for each of them.

They learn to forgive, trust God, and see that sometimes God has a different plan for your life. They also see that life goes on, sometimes in a new and different way and that can be wonderful in its own way. They see there is hope and a future. This book had a very encouraging message that readers will relate to.

Often times I find these smaller books to be methodical, predictable, and shallow in their plot, characters, and writing but THIS is NOT one of those books. Yuletide Redemption is a wonderful Christmas story of two characters, Celeste Monroe and Sam Sheffield, who are hurting, struggling, and fighting to overcome adversity and find hope.

At first, I was sort of taken aback by the characters and their struggle. A car accident and a boating accident left each of them disfigured and focused on returning to their "normal". Their goal felt superficial-couldn't they just be happy to be alive? <-- This was the question I asked myself throughout but then Ms. Kemerer did this magical thing where she penned a story with two fictional characters who voiced, thought, and behaved in a very authentic way as they each discover the redemption their hearts needed in order for them to heal. And it brought me to tears. Literally.

This story will take readers on an emotional journey of what it really means to depend on the One whose grace is sufficient in our time of weakness. Grab a cup of cocoa, a fuzzy blanket, and park yourself next to a cozy fireplace to enjoy this Christmas story of redemption.

I loved this sweet Christmas love story that chronicles the journey of two hurting people, Sam and Celeste, as God brings them together and they each learn the truth of 2 Corinthians 12:9 and Philippians 4:7. God cares about every detail of our lives, whether we choose to see it or not. And even though it can be scary, the only way to truly live and love abundantly is to give up control and trust that God's plans are better than our own. And He will protect us and cherish us with His peace and love. The story takes place in a lovely small-town, lakefront. snowy atmosphere. This is book #4 in a series, but works fine as a stand alone book. I've not read the previous books, but now I'm looking forward to reading more about Sam's fun and loving family.

~~ But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. ~~ 2 Corinthians 12:9

~~ And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. ~~ Philippians 4:7

This was such an awesome story!

I have to be honest; at first, I thought Celeste and Sam were expecting a little too much — instead of being grateful for what they have. I’m not sure if the reader (like me) can really appreciate the main characters’ feelings about their current situations, unless the reader (like me) can see themself with such a disability.

But when I stopped and really considered how I would feel, if I had lived Celeste or Sam’s life, and was suddenly thrust into such a different lifestyle, then yeah, I would want my old life back. And that’s exactly what Celeste and Sam want . . . to be the same person they were before their accident.

Of course, we all know that’s impossible, in most cases. So what would you do, if you were in Celeste or Sam’s place? I’m not telling! My advice . . . get a copy of this wonderful book and find out what they do.

This is the fourth book in Jill Kemerer’s new Sheffield Siblings series. My plan is to go back and find all the others, then read them together, one-by-one. I definitely want to get to know the Sheffield Siblings better!

Happy Reading — and Merry Christmas!

Yuletide Redemption is not your average Christmas fluff...not a heavy read but just right.

It is a relatable book on many levels. Author Jill Kemerer tackles life's tough, unfair struggles. You know, the issues we all don't want to deal with or face. Yet there is hope & redemption weaved throughout. Follow Celeste and Sam as they each work out their own issues. Will they each surrender or hold on to the past hurts?

I personally loved most of the dialog in Yuletide Redemption. The characters were believable and the author used the right amount of drama for each character yet weaved the character's separate issues together beautifully.

Grab your hot chocolate and a blanket and curl up with Yuletide Redemption soon! It is available for pre-order now!

This is hands down one of the best books that I've ever read! I didn't want the story to end because it's so close to so many things that I've had to go through and discover for myself. We don't get to choose what happens in our lives, but we can choose how we handle those bad situations.

Celeste Monroe is starting over after a terrible accident that left her best friend dead and her scared for life. Celeste's face is forever scared and so is her heart. She has to live with the guilt that she was driving during the accident .Brandy was her best friend , her brother's wife and her nephew Parker's mom .Now she is faced with raising Parker alone. Celeste's brother Josh had passed away before Parker was even born. Celeste agrees to help a man named Sam Sheffield who is also recovering from an accident. He is needing assistance because he was in a boat accident .He is currently using a wheel chair because he recently had a fall and he reinjured his leg. Celeste has agreed to help him with errands and taking him to rehab . Can Celeste forgive herself for the wreck ? Will her physical and emotional scars ever heal? Will she be a good mom to Parker? Sam Sheffield is a young business man that has been sidelined by a boating accident . He also has physical and emotion scars to. His sister Claire has gotten Celeste to help him with his day to day stuff. Sam has a long recovery ahead of him and he was ok until a fall set him back. Sam was running a car dealership before the accident ,now he feels less of a man because he can't resume his career. Will Sam be able to recover from his injuries ? Will he be able to return to his career? This is Sam's story in the Lake Endwell series and it is also a Christmas story. Both Celeste and Sam are survivors of terrible accidents . They both have physical and emotion damage from the accidents to overcome .They both had to learn to live again and not let their scars keep them from living life. They both had to face people and deal with their reactions .I really like the way the author wrote about how these two learn how to go one with their even when tragedy strikes them. I think she did a really good job with this book . I really enjoyed it. Christian fiction

Returning to Lake Endwell once again was like visiting family. You feel like you are one of the Sheffields'. Jill Kemerer has a way of pulling you into the story from the very beginning. She tells the story with so much depth and devotion to detail that you don't want to miss the story unfolding.

This installment follows Sam Sheffield. After a boating accident has left him injured, Sam's sister has sent Celeste Monroe to help nurse him back to health. Celeste gets to live next door rent free for helping take care of Sam. Celeste has been left in charge of her baby nephew, Parker, after her and her best friend were in a car accident. She wants to provide a happy life for him and taking on this job is a positive beginning for both of them.
Both her and Sam's imperfections could put a damper on their plans. They both must deal with old scars from their past if they want to move forward and help each other heal. Celeste is afraid everyone will only see her scars on her face so she stays inside to avoid her pain. Sam is so caught up in his own physical pain that he feels like he'll never walk again and be a full man for any woman. They both must overcome their fears and feelings of abandonment if they want to get through this. They're both scared they'll become emotionally attached, but is that a bad thing.
Jill Kemerer put God in the center of their relationships because they both turn to God when they feel like giving up.
Having read her first three books, I feel that each one just keeps getting better and better. I totally recommend this book and I love the Christmas theme. So grab a hot cup of coffee and comfy chair and enjoy the ride your about to take. I received an advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

"...you best think about that worm chewing a hole in your heart." (184)

O yes. Do you have a worm that's chewing inside of you? Is it bitterness or is it self-doubt? Is it jealousy or something you're not even sure of? Yuletide Redemption by Jill Kemerer deals with loss and the bitterness in life and towards God. And boy, was it a kicker! I almost wanted to jump in there and smack a certain character. I want to knock some sense into said character. Though I understand his/her plight and reason for such bitterness, but you can truly see how bitterness can "rot your bones." Not only such, it can drive away the good things in your life, and hurt those that love you.

Back to the book. Being the 4th book in the series, it really doesn't matter, because you won't get lost at all. This book focuses on our main characters, though other characters from the series does make appearances throughout. I really enjoyed how the author penned Celeste's story, her struggle as a sudden single parent, and the survivor's guilt that continues to torment her. O, did I say too much? For a story of this length, the level of life and internal struggles these characters face - heartwrenching is to say the least.

"Sometimes God's ways doesn't fit into our expectations..." (140)

Don't miss this story, just in time to bring some Christmas cheer! It releases tomorrow!

This is a wonderful christian romance with a HEA. I loved it and you will too. Sam Sheffield spends a lot of his time feeling sorry for himself. Because of a bad boating accident he is in a wheel chair part of the time and a lot of pain all the time. His one leg is badly damaged and he has to rebuild the muscles so he can learn to walk with a cane instead of crutches. He doesn't feel his physical therapy helps and he just gives up. His family is worried and hires Celeste Monroe to help him a few days a week. She is to do some cleaning and shopping plus take him to and from his appointments, so he keeps them. Celeste is very shy and is also recovering from a bad car accident in which her best friend, sister in law, was killed. Celeste is left with a scarred face which she tries to hide. Both these people are damaged outside as well as inside. Celeste is also trying to raise her young nephew, since both parents are now gone. Can these two help each other? As with any romance there are many obstacles to overcome. This book is great and I know you will enjoy Sam and Celeste

Celeste and Sam are two individuals recovering from separate accidents. They are brought together by Sam’s sister. Because of their accidents, they find comfort in each other that they can’t find in their family or friends. But, it’s also the scars and lasting injuries of their accidents that keep them from giving of their hearts to each other.
This story has a flowing timeline, it’s not rushed but not drug out either. I liked the support and love of their family members without suffocating them. This story is an excellent example that God won’t give us more than we can handle. God may not take away the thorn in our side, but we can still be used for His glory, in ways we could never see work out. This is a very believable story and I enjoyed reading it.

I received this copy from the author. I was not required to give a favorable review. All thoughts are my own. This is a beautiful story of overcoming loss and recovering from accidents to being stronger both in there faith in God as well as their faith in their own strengths. Cassidy is raising her best friends little who also happens to be her nephew. Her brother died in the war and then his wife, her best friend the Dec. before coming home from Christmas shopping. Sam is trying to heal from a boating accident that did a lot of damage and then another fall in the shower tearing his ACL. He doesn't want to be in a wheelchair at his car dealership and is trying to get stronger but angry. Together they are going to help each other find that God does give answer you just have to ask the right ones. This is a beautiful story and look forward to reading about the rest of Sam's brothers

Not my cup of tea...

To be fair, I didn't realize that this Harlequin line had a heavy emphasis on faith, so I was surprised by the mention of God. I wouldn't mind this too much, but the second have of this book is very heavily focused on God and faith, and it really took away from the love story for me.

That aside, I would still rate this at two stars. I didn't feel any chemistry between the MCs, have no idea why they loved each other, and he went from a recluse who yells at his family to agreeing to everything the h says in their first 10 minute meeting. Very unbelievable. On top of that, I thought both were so wrapped up in their respective accidents and discussions about faith, I don't think either was mentally healthy enough for a relationship, let alone marriage or kids.

After reading Jill Kemerer's first three books about the Sheffield family, I could not wait to read Yuletide Redemption. It was everything I hoped and more. Jill does an amazing job of keeping the reader in suspense throughout all of the twists and turns. I was able to relate to the struggles the characters encountered. I think we can all learn from Sam and Celeste as we read how they overcame those obstacles. Yuletide Redemption will be available November 22. It will get you in the Christmas spirit as you read how faith in the baby Jesus will strengthen you to get through anything.

Yuletide Redemption by Jill Kemerer was precious. This is definitely a Christmas feel good book. The heroine is raising her nephew after a car accident took her sisters life. The hero is in a wheelchair after a boating accident and needs help in his home. She is hired to do just that. There is an attraction but can they overcome all the obstacles to reach out to each other and have a happily ever after? This may be my favorite of this authors to date. I really enjoyed it. *I was given a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

I was fortunate enough to actually meet Jill this weekend. She's a new to me author, but after talking with her, I loved the premise of her books.

In Yuletide Redemption, we meet Celeste and Sam. Both were in accidents, and dealing with survivors guilt. After Sam's sister brings them together, they both start to realize they were put in each other's lives by God for a reason.

I absolutely loved this book, and cannot wait to read more by this author.

Each trip to Lake Endwell gets better and better. Jill Kemerer has a created a home away from home for me. The Sheffields are like extended family. Christmas novels are part of my Christmas tradition and I'm thankful Yuletide Redemption helped me celebrate this year. Characters I fell in love with. A story that left me laughing out loud and also shedding tears. The reminder that God is with us through the pain and frustration warmed my heart.

I really enjoyed the latest book in Jill Kemerer's series. This book was so sweet. I loved how the hero and heroine came together through adversity and overcame such tragedies in their lives. Life is hard but through Christ we can live our lives knowing He loves us. He takes care of us even when we don't recognize it. I was given this book by the author and I have given my honest opinion.

Amazing!! Seriously enjoyed reading Sam's story. This is part of the Lake Endwell series. Sam had a boating accident in Her Small -Town Romance that changed him. The best part Sam learns that God loves him and has been with him the whole time. Great story!!
