Bethany Myers lives a simple life as an accountant, busy working alongside her best friend and co-worker, Amy, and also a volunteer at her local animal shelter. With her days filled with numbers and furry creatures, her nights are filled with something else… Someone else. Bethany sees him in almost every one of her dreams. She’s never spoken to him, never been close to him, but she knows that he’s the one. Her ‘dream guy’. The problem is, he’s not even real. How can she be with 'the one' if he doesn’t exist? When an unfortunate situation thrusts her into a different life and a dark secret threatens the ones she loves. Bethany fights for the life she led before, and the people she was destined to protect.
This is the first book I have read by author Dawn Doyle and I am glad I did. This is a paranormal book about a guardian (not a guardian angel but a guardian of the soul) and his human charge. The story line and plot are unique and not what I was expecting (in a good way). The characters have enough depth to make them likable and believable. The twist and turns in this book will leave you guess and page turning to find out what is going to happen. A great read I would recommend to anyone that likes romantic paranormal reads.
Soul Guardian is a stand-alone book all about a dream guy and the lengths we will go to, to find them. Bethany Myers (Beth to friends) is an accountant by day and a dream lover at night, who seems to have a sixth sense with some things, when people or situations seem off she feels it, sometimes this means she can do something about it, but not always. Her colleague and best friend Amy tries to set Beth up with different dates as she seems to have terrible taste in men, from Cheaters to Psychos. The set up involves Jace he seems nice enough, sweet and kind, he’s good looing and doesn’t set off any bad feeling, but still something doesn’t seem right. He’s not the man of her dreams and sometimes only your dream man will do. Mr Dream man Ren is the one who sets her nights on fire, except he is not real, is he? A terrible situation means major changes for Beth and when she wakes up and everything is wrong, she can see him. Dream Guy is real except only she can see him, and he can’t get close to her without setting machines off and doctors running. Beth has to become someone else, with Ren’s help. But as she does she brings the best parts of her old-self to it. Including her need to help everyone and be a great big sister. Dawn Doyle manages to pull all of the different areas of the book together brilliantly, she sucks you in and you start to dream about your own Guardian Angel, even if Ren isn’t an Angel.
Bethany Myers lives a simple, but busy life. She works as an accountant and also volunteers at an animal shelter. Her best friend, Amy also works as an accountant at the same firm. By the time Bethany gets home she is exhausted and always looks forward to going to sleep. That's is because in her sleep Bethany literally meets the man of her dreams. He is in almost all of her dreams. She has never felt anything like what she feels whenever she is around her "dream guy". There is a strong connection between the two of them even though she has never met him. She feels as if she is going crazy because she can't understand how she can want to be with someone, and feel so strongly, about someone that doesn't even exist.
Circumstances lead to Bethany living a different life. She struggles to hold on to the life she had before and at the same time trying to unravel a deadly secret to protect the ones she loves.
I do not want to give anymore of the story away because it is a story that needs to be experienced, not explained. I had all sorts of emotions while reading this book. I just loved the book from start to finish. I could not put this one down. The characters had me wanted to know more about them and I couldn't help but cheer them on. By the end of the book, I was crying, not only because of the story itself, but because the story was over. I was not ready to say goodbye to these characters. These group of characters will stay with me for some time.
5 Stars Soul Guardian by Dawn Doyle I LOVED IT! Every word! Author Dawn Doyle invites us on a journey with Bethany and Ren. Bethany is a rare person who is naturally selfless and compassionate. Ren is her Guardian. Both are madly in love with each other. However there are rules that Ren, as her Guardian must follow which can prevent a happily ever after with Bethany. His job is to show Bethany her purpose and boost her into completing her tasks. The way that Dawn describes their affections for each other and the sacrifices they are willing to make for one another is what love is all about. I enjoyed how the author intertwined the characters; it was a great twist. I personally like to apply novels that I read to real life and we can learn so much from this. I strongly believe that your soul mate or your partner should encourage you to always want more and to help fulfill your purpose. Ren can sure enough teach us a thing or two about that! Although he is Bethany’s guardian, the love that he has for her is unimaginable. Another life lesson is exemplified through Bethany. She always sees the best in everyone. She is my best friend in my head now! Hahaha. Well I am a fan now. I applaud you Dawn!
This was a fantastic romance supernatural book. An amazing story and characters. This was the first book of Dawns I've read and I will definitely be reading more. I'd highly recommend to others to read.
A touching read. Beth hasnt had it easy and everything as she knows it changes dramatically overnight. Her pure soul is destined to help others and that she does. A beautiful story!
Read in one setting. Was an absolute joy to read. An emotional roller coaster. One of my all time favorite stories now. Will continue to stay with me. Very well written.
4 stars Soul guardian is an erotic paranormal romance by Dawn Doyle. It contains a good dose of mystery, suspense, intrigue and drama. The story follows Bethany Myers (Beth), a hard working accountant and Animal Shelter volunteer. She is independent, smart, a loving daughter and sister; and a truly beautiful soul. Beth hasn’t had a date, let alone a relationship- for a very long time. She seems to attract total jerks, creeps and di&kheads. The longest relationship she has ever had, lasted for only two months. It is not that she isn’t interested in having someone special in her life or being romantically involved. The problem is that no one compares to her “Dream Guy”- who always appears in her dreams, watching her from afar. Mr Dreamy with the blackest hair, broad shoulders, long limbs, sapphire blue eyes and the cutest dimples that form in his cheeks when he flashes his gorgeous smile. Her Dream Man gives off some seriously sexy vibes making Beth weak in the knees, intensely aroused, hot and flustered. How is any man going to compete with someone who isn’t even ‘real’. Ren is a guardian, sent to watch over Bethany. He doesn’t know why he has to guard her- his orders are “Observe, but don’t touch”. Ren finds the more time he spends watching over Bethany, the more drawn to her he is becoming- it’s a powerful connection that he can’t explain. The beautiful blonde has him completely enchanted. How can he remain in the background, observing Beth- when his desire for her is becoming almost unbearable. When danger enters Bethany’s life, Ren must decide whether to follow orders, or break protocol and intervene. I can’t go into more detail, without giving away some serious spoilers. This book is well written and has characters that are fully developed and have a real depth of personality. While the story itself is wonderful, I felt that the first third of the book moved a little too slowly and because of this I found it hard to “get into” the story. But I am glad I kept reading, because from that point on- the book flowed really well and the story really took off and it ended up really capturing my attention. I enjoyed the journey that Ms. Doyle took me on. This is the first book of Dawn Doyle’s that I have read and it won’t be my last.
Dawn Doyle, drags you in and leaves you wanting more in Soul Guardian. This is not my normal genre but I have to say the characters and foundation of this book is strong and an amazing read. I know that I will be wanting to read more from this author as she may have broken my issue with paranormal romance. I fell in love with the story and fell hard for Ren, and I am sure I won’t be the only one.
Bethany never had much luck with dating and feels she only attracts creeps or crazy guys. For so long, Bethany has dreamed of her “dream guy” and those blue eyes haunt her daily. There is a strong connection between her and her dream guy, even though he isn’t real. Lately, she has been feeling ill at odd times and she is unable to explain why she is feeling this way. Her best friend Amy continually tries to set her up, but Bethany is just tired of the dating scene and is all about her job. Ren is a Soul Guardian, and his feeling for Bethany are very strong, even stronger than his need to protect her. He has watched over her, for her whole life and lately he wants to get closer to her, which he knows is not good for him or for her. When tragedy hits, he knows he needs to do something to keep her alive because it’s not Bethany’s time. His choices change things for Bethany but also for himself.
I don’t want to give a lot away with my review, you need to read this book to fully get the plot and enjoy it as much as I did. The foundation of this story is strong which I enjoy in any book I read. There are characters that you will adore and there are characters that you will hate, which also helps me when reading a book. I give this book 5 stars and for me to rate a paranormal book this high, it’s an amazing read. But now I leave myself to wonder, do we all have a Soul Guardian, and if so, can I have Ren?
Bethany, knows what the perfect man for her looks like, knows him intimately, and tries to get closer to him without much success...maybe It's has to do with the fact that she can only see him when she sleeps. Since she has been a young girl she sees this man in her dreams, wants to know more about him, why does he haunt her and who is he? She finds herself drawn to men who have his physical features in hopes of finding Mr.. Right, and each some sixth sense tells her something isn't right and the relationships seem to fizzle out due to reasons she had no way of knowing, but sensed. As an accountant she's been assigned the task along with her best friend Amy to go over some financial documents for two companies looking to do a merger with each other to make sure that everything is on the up and up; imagine her surprise when she uncovers something that isn't right, and as she follows protocol realizes something isn't right there either. Forced into secrecy by company policy, she does as she is told and moves on. Just as she thinks her life is at the top of the world it all comes crashing down on her when she finds herself waking up in a hospital with no idea how she got there, or who the people around her claiming to be her family are. Suddenly she notices HIM there in the corner, the man of her dreams! Follow along as she finally gets to know Ren and finds out what is going on. Is it amnesia or has her world literally turned upside down? Do the rules of love transcend beyond one world into the next and if so, can the relationships that come from them last? What happens when your destiny isn't fulfilled, your purpose not done? Are you given a second chance, or just merely a few more days? A read that will be sure to leave you breathless. Soul Guardian is written in such a style that you don't know if you're reading, romance, paranormal, mystery or suspense...but All mashed up together is the way to go as Dawn Doyle proves with this book!!!
4.5 from me. Really enjoyed this story. But had a little trouble with the heroine in the beginning. She seemed a little naive and slow for a successful account living on her own. Thankfully that improves as the story progresses. Aside from that one little issue I really enjoyed the characters, and when the story comes together it explodes. Ren and Beth(Rosie) have a connection even Ren doesnt understand. And who doesnt hope we have a Guardian? This is not a quick read. The author has a good storyline, great characters, and so much more. Twists and turns, mystery, murder, and HOTNESS galore. I am guessing(hoping) there will be more like this. This is a standalone however. I fee like the story finished the way it ended. Def possibility for 2nd in series?
It was good but it didn't grab me and keep me turning pages. I got distracted easily and found the characters hard to identify with and therefore empathise with. There is a lot of British terms and as an American I had to look a few up, which I enjoyed because things like that interest me. Such as when she says to Tori "You don't have a spare peck on you" or something to that effect. I learned that a peck is a unit of measurement as is a bushel which finally explained the idiom "A bushel and a peck" which I always thought was a cluster of some sort of plant and a kiss on the cheek. Now I know. So thanks Dawn Doyle, I enjoyed taking a step into the UK through your writing. Impeccable grammar and spelling. Formatted perfectly and the story flowed well.
The story Soul Guardian by Dawn Doyle is a paranormal romance book. It tells the tale of Bethany Myers who works as an accountant. She has a best friend Amy who also works with her at the accounting firm. Bethany has always had a man who appears in her dreams and who she knows is “the one” for her. However how can he be if he is not real? Why does she have such intense feeling toward him? Meanwhile, both Amy and Bethany are working on a high profile account when Bethany stumbles across information that unknown to her puts her in danger. Will she be able to protect herself and the ones she loves?
I found this book to be amazing and awesome! It is written in such a way that you don’t want to put it down for a minute until it is over. The intense emotions will have you going from joy to sadness, anger to forgiveness, danger to hopefulness. While reading you not only put yourself in Bethany’s shoes, you also ask yourself what would you do if in the same situation? The depth of the characters and the strong feelings toward family and friends is another reason that this book works so well. You have Bethany and Amy who treat each other just about like sisters. You also have other characters that are just as important to the storyline and why this book is do wonderful.
Sometimes when reading a book you begin to wonder why certain things happen one way instead of another or what was the reason for one character. Not so in this book. Every word and every character is where they should be and the story would suffer without them. If you love paranormal romance, or just romance in general this is a book you don’t want to miss. My suggestion is to put at the top of your to-be-read list. There is some adult language and but the reason I would recommend this for anyone 18 years or older is because of the steamy love scenes
Soul Guardian was super cute. Bethany is an accountant who stumbles across embezzlement in a companies files. Thinking the situation over she goes on with her life. She was a little odd in the sense that she got vibes from people who wished harm on her or others. Too bad those vibes didn’t save her. Those vibes had a name Ren and he was her guardian. He was charged to protect her and guide her on her journey. It was a good read. Not my norm but still something I enjoyed reading. It was a unique story. It got a little boring but picked up when she finally got moving. I would read from this author again. She definitely had me interested with how she ended the book. That was my favorite part. To know your ending is only your beginning. That what you want and what fate has planned isn’t always on the same path but it might be the same destination.
Dawn Doyle is a new author for me and she has introduced me to a new genre with SOUL GUARDIAN. It is definitely a romance, but it also crosses over into the paranormal. I tried to keep an open mind because I had never read paranormal before and I am so glad I did. Dawn quickly drew me into the story and I couldn't put it down. There was something always going on and I had to know what it was. I believe Dawn has won me over. Fantastic story! Wonderful characters! And...it kept me guessing! If you have never tried paranormal, give Dawn a chance. I believe she could change your mind.
Bethany Myers is a lovely girl who is content with her lifestyle. She and her best friend, Amy, are accountants at the same accounting firm. Bethany doesn't date a lot, and chooses to spend the majority of her free time with her family, Amy, and volunteering at the local animal shelter. She adores her younger brother and they are very close. Strange, tingling, burning sensations take over Bethany's body and she doesn't know what to make of them. She tries to keep them hidden, but sometimes they happen at the most inconvenient times. To complicate things further, Bethany has a dream guy. A true dream guy. He only shows up in her dreams. He is gorgeous and perfect and she loves to sleep and dream about him. He is the reason she can't get interested in anyone else. They pale in comparison.
When the chain of events start to happen and Bethany's life is turned upside down, dream guy finally reveals himself to her. She discovers he has been sent to be her "Soul Guardian"! This is where it starts to get really interesting. You won't believe the twists and turns. You will love this book. Give it a chance.
Bethany Myers has had a string of bad relationships. She has pretty much sworn off men because of it. She tries to keep herself as busy as possible so her friend Amy can’t set her up on dates. Her days are filled with her job as an accountant and volunteering at a local animal shelter. Her nights are filled with dreams of a muscular man who has the most intense cerulean eyes. He has haunted her dreams for years but lately they have become more heated, leaving her frustrated in more ways than one. Bethany knows he’s the one and no man, past or present, can compare to him. She continues to search for him but he doesn’t exist. One night while working late, Bethany finds some discrepancies in an account she’s verifying. Unfortunately it leads to her demise. She wakes up a week later in severe pain, in another woman’s body. The only good thing about this is that the man of her dreams is standing in the room with her. Bethany doesn’t understand what’s happening until Mr. Tall, Dark and Handsome introduces himself as Ren, her guardian. She still has to fulfill her destiny thus the body swap. Great, it’s just Bethany’s luck that the man she’s in love with happens to be her guardian angel whom no one else can see! You can feel how strong the bond is and how deep the love goes between Ren and Bethany. They are two souls that belong together. Though the sex scenes are very hot, I kept picturing someone walking in and seeing her making out with the air. The book does coincide with my beliefs on soulmates and reincarnation so I enjoyed that aspect very much.
3.5 Stars Soul Guardian by Dawn Doyle is a standalone novel, which is part romance and paranormal genres. I will be the first to admit that the paranormal genre is not something I indulge in. Reading the first few chapters, I knew I was going to enjoy reading this book. I was hooked by the exciting plot. Every time I thought I had something figured out, I was completely blindsided by what actually happened! This book really does keep you guessing and the author’s writing really adds to the surprise element. The main character Bethany loves to live a quiet life. She works as an accountant with her best friend and then volunteers at an animal shelter. Bethany has had a string of bad relationships. She has pretty much sworn off men because of it. But I feel the main reason she sworn off men is because of the other main character. Ren is Bethany’s soul guardian, basically he is there to watch over Beth and make sure that she is ok. Bethany can only see Ren in her dreams and she makes him her “dream guy”. No other guy stands a chance to this mystery man. Bethany finds some problems in an account she’s verifying. This is when the story starts to get interesting. She wakes up a week later in severe pain, in another woman’s body. The only good thing about this is that the man of her dreams is standing in the room with her. She can finally see Ren. Bethany doesn’t understand what’s happening until Ren introduces himself as her guardian. Ren tells Bethany that she still has to fulfill her destiny thus the body swap. This book really gives the meaning to soulmates!
I would recommend Soul Guardian to fans of this genre and those looking for something new and different to read.
Soul Guardian by Dawn Doyle It's been a while since I have truly enjoyed a paranormal romance, thanks to Dawn Doyle with her stand alone, Soul Guardian, I can officially say I have reacquainted my love for paranormal romance. Dawn Doyle's writing is so vivid, it's hard not to be completely lost and captivated by her words. I was completely consumed in the world of Soul Guardian, from beginning to end. It was very difficult to find stopping points adventurers world demanded my time, I wanted to read more before doing that lead of laundry or getting my daughter of the bus. Dawn Doyle had a knack for suspense, because although there were was thus beautiful love story to follow, Dawn knee how to keep you on your toes and continue guessing. Literally not one of my guesses or assumptions throughout reading the book were correct. Dawn also has a knack for making her characters very real, which is probably what made it so easy to trigonometry lost in the book. Her words painted a perfect picture, like a movie playing on a screen. This stand alone does not end in a cliffhanger like so many other do. For me the ending was a happily ever after, but I'm not sure it would be for all. You will just have to read it for yourself. I am giving Dawn Doyle's Soul Guardian 5 out of 5 stars! This is a must read for any paranormal romance lovers. I also think this would be great read for any romance lovers that are ready to dip their toes into the paranormal, this would be the best first paranormal romance read! And for anyone like myself who has been strayed from the paranormal, this is a great way to get you hooked again!
This is a touching story of two souls finding each other and staying together at all costs. This is a wonderfully easy story to get sucked into and want to stay in. I was completely transfixed and consumed by this story and I honestly never wanted it to end. Bethany is the woman I would love to be, strong, independent and fiercely kind hearted. She would give you the shirt off her back in an instant, but that does not make her a pushover. She has an acute radar that lets her know when she is in a bad situation, it is her guardian Ren. Ren has been watching over her soul since she was born, and their relationship is anything but normal. When Bethany learns some things that she shouldn’t, Ren makes the decision to save her soul because she has more work to do here on Earth. Together, they will solve the mysteries surrounding them and find what they need in each other. I thought that the solving of the mystery was a little rushed but it in no way distracted from the wonderful story that was enfolding. I raced through this book because I couldn’t wait to see what was happening and if they were going to wind up together. As strange as the premise is that someone could fall in love with their guardian, it was very well done and it seemed very possible. I found myself wondering if those goosebumps I felt were just maybe my guardian telling me everything will be okay. Sometimes you just have to believe in the almost possible and this book is a great example of doing just that.
I was really unsure what to think of this book at the beginning. I found myself getting confused and having to go back and re-read the previous paragraph or page but that was just me. This book was very well written and by the end I was really glad I read it.
I really liked Bethany, who has been having these weird dreams and sees this man with pitch black hair and the most incredible blue eyes she has ever seen. He is her perfect man and of course he isn’t real, but they never are. When she is awake she gets these weird hot flashes and can’t figure out what is going on. She of course mentions to her best friend Amy who suggests she goes to see the Dr. to find out what is going on.
Bethany and Amy work as accountants and are working on the books for a company who is being by a larger company. Beth is at the office alone and late one night and notices some irregularities in the books. She emails her supervisor to let her know what she has found and is told to pack all of the files up and return them.
Bethany ends up in the middle of some shady dealings that is how she ends up meeting Ren, her dream man and her guardian and the story gets really interesting from that point.
There were several characters that I liked a lot and hope there is a story on them. I’m really curious on what happens to Amy and Bethany’s little brother Kieran. When the main part of the story I was unsure if this was happy ending or not. I cried my way through the last chapter. But then I got to the Epilogue and that is when I figured it out.
I went into this book with an open mind. I read the synopsis of it and thought hmmm this may not be what I usually read. And that is a good thing especially with this book. This book blew my mind, just when I had it figured out I get thrown for a big loop. I loved everything about this book. Bethany is an accountant working who gets to work with her best friend everyday. They are currently working on a big companies take over. Bethany gets weird feeling with almost every guy she has dated. She also gets these hot flashes that send tingles up and down her body. Bethany is amazing she is very likeable and I would say I could totally be friends with her. She also volunteers at an animal shelter. This woman is awesome. When Bethany is working on the books when she comes across a big chunk of the numbers not adding up. Ren is Bethany's soul gaurdian. Honestly I feel he is more then that but that's just me. He has been with Bethany since she was born and has always been the one to make her tingle. Ren did the only thing he thought he could do to save her. Bethany wakes up in the hospital but she's not herself. How does that happen? Bethany still has a path to accomplish on this earth before she leaves. Ren is with her through it all.
This is amazing. I went through so many emotions about everything. I think Ren and Bethany's love story has become one of my favorites. I love how Bethany being her touched so many lives as just her and then by, well read it and you will know.
Bethany likes her quiet life as an accountant and volunteer at the local animal shelter. She spends most of her free time with her family or with her best friend and coworker, Amy, and really doesn’t date a lot. Every time she meets someone, she ends up comparing him to the man she has always dreamed about yet never met. No man will ever compare to her dream man with his beautiful eyes, dark hair and built body. No matter how much she tries, she always ends up with the wrong kind of guy. Amy tries to set her up on a blind date with her new beau’s friend, but even nice guys don’t seem to truly catch her eye. She needs the man in her dreams. The man in her dreams never says anything, but she can tell he is the man for her. How can you love someone who isn’t even real? Extraordinary circumstances launch Bethany into a crazy left turn in life and you really just have to read this story to find out what happens! I truly was not expecting the story to go the route it did, but it sure was an interesting turn! I don’t want to give anything away, but Bethany’s story is so much more than I ever saw coming! It was such a pleasure to read a book that is so different from most that I’ve read. You will not be disappointed in “Soul Guardian” other than it was too short! I felt the end was a little rushed, but really liked the way Dawn Doyle ended the story. A must read!! So, I give “Soul Guardian” by Dawn Doyle four stars!
Bethany Myers is an accountant who lives a rather simple life. When she is not working with her best friend Amy she volunteers and a pet shelter. After several bad relationships and crappy dates she has sworn off men for the time being. In her dreams she sees the perfect man with black hair and blue eyes. She's never met him and doesn't think he exists. Ren is Beth's guardian and even though it's forbidden he's in love with Beth and can't leave her. He gets to close to her and and she reacts. Hot flashes and getting turned on etc. While she is working late one night she finds discrepancies which ultimately leads to her tragic And ultimately death. She wakes up a week later in terrible pain and in another body! After finding out the Ren is real and her guardian angel she learns she has a destiny she has to finish so she was soul swapped into another body. This book touches on Angels, guardians and reincarnation which is really fascinating to me. It has always been interesting and I have always thought it was a neat idea. I found this book to be unique and unlike anything I have read to date. The sex scenes were great but I wasn't sure how to picture this in my head. I kind of pictured her having sex with an invisible person so that was an interesting thought. I would rate this 3 ½ stars.
3 1/2 stars In Soul Guardian by Dawn Doyle, Ren is a guardian for Bethany, who has a mission to protect Bethany because she has a job to do. He is not told very much information, except she is his only charge. Over the years of watching her from birth until she becomes the amazing woman she sees him as, he ends up falling madly in love with her and will do whatever he can do to stay with her, even defy his boss. Bethany has had a great life filled with a few people that she loves unconditionally, but the one thing that she has never had is a man that she can let her guard down around and love freely. She has her dream man in mind and everyone she compares him too lets her down. After tragedy strikes, Bethany realizes that her dream man is exactly that, her guardian that visits her in her dreams, except now she can see him while she is awake. What do you do when the one person that is your soul mate is the one person that you are not allowed to be with? You fight with everything that you have.
I have mixed emotions with this book. I feel like Soul Guardian has a ton of potential but I think that it was slow getting to the good parts and once we were there it was rushed through. There is a huge timeline gap from the end of the book to the epilogue and there was questions that I would have liked to have answered. Overall it was good and worth the read.
What do you do when everyone you love and your life is threatened? You fight for it! Dawn Doyle has written and intriguing and captivating book with Soul Guardian. Bethany works as an accountant alongside her best friend Amy. One night when staying late she comes across some irregularities in the books so she emails her supervisor about them. Once that happens she is told to put them away, and is thrust into some more than questionable dealings and ends up meeting Ren. The only problem with Ren? Bethany has been seeing him in her dreams and he is not supposed to exist. No one believes the man of their dreams is real so when Bethany starts dreaming about Ren she thinks the same thing until she is thrust into his world (so to speak). There are some goo twists and turns in this book and it made me cry a little bit. The characters and story line flowed very nicely into the world of forbidden love and a woman who will do anything to protect those that she cares for, and Ren well, he loves Bethany even though it is forbidden. He can’t seem to stop himself, she captivates him and he is her guardian so it is his job to guide her and help her along the way. Can Bethany and Ren save them, or will evil win over good?... And if you’re willing to put everyone’s needs in front of your own will you be giving up your happiness for theirs…
Wow what a crazy adventure! When you read some books you can kind of guess or see where the author is headed with the story, hopefully towards a happily ever after, but sometimes not. However that is not the case with Dawn Doyle. She takes us on a mystical adventure with Bethany and Ren. She includes hot sex, love beyond time, soul mates, mystery, good friends, bad guys and even some laughter.
There are several characters through out this story that could use their own book. I sure hope Doyle has something in the works because she pulled me right in to this heart wrenching love story and I would love to read something else by her.
The story starts off with Bethany. We learn that she literally dreams of Ren. Her mystery dream man. The one she compares all others to. Her best friend Amy is pushing her to try someone new but Bethany knows what and who she wants. But is Ren a figment of her imagination? Just as Bethany decides to give Jace a chance there’s an accident. What happens to Ren and Bethany after the accident? How can this be happening!?!
Doyle writes an easy to read story that was easy to fall into and with characters that are easy to love. Definitely recommend this book to others.
I honestly don't even know where to begin with this review. This book was one that I didn't want to put down which lately has been quite the feat for me to find. Beth is a human who lives in our time and works as an accountant. Ren is what they call a soul guardian, basically he is there to watch over Beth and make sure that she is ok. Going through the book things seem to take an odd turn when all of a sudden Beth is gone and she comes back as Rosie Jones who has been in a coma. Ren is still with her only now she can see him and he goes through life with her until it is decided that her path in this life just like Ren’s is complete. The journey that this book took me on was one that I will never forget and honestly I hope that Ms. Doyle has more like this in the future. This was an amazing book and I highly recommend it to any and everyone that wants to take the time to read it. It does not end on a cliffhanger and there is somewhat of a happily ever after if you choose to look at it that way. I will also say that you will never expect who is behind the plots of the murder and attempted murder in this book trust me, it never does turn out to be who you think it is in the end does it?
Bethany Myers and her best friend Amy work for the same accounting firm and while working on a high profile account , Bethany comes across information that puts her in what's way. Bethany has always seen a man who appears in her dreams and she knows he is the one for her. Bethany is forced to confront her future , her past, and darkness. It is Ren who has to help her see what good can come out of this. This is about genuine affection and forbidden love, doing whatever it takes to protect those you love even if it costs your own heart. I do not normally read paranormal romance but this book blew me away. It's hard to say good by to character's who you grow to love. The book keeps you guessing and you will never guess who is behind the plots. I was blown away.
