I LOVED this book. It was sweet, and fairly angst free. Both characters were likable and HILARIOUS. I laughed my ass off so many times. The plot flowed nicely, and we got to see Rayne and Arson again, so BONUS.

My only complaint is I wish it would have had a better epilogue. There is also a part in the epilogue concerning a neighbor I guess, that I just DID NOT get. I'm not really sure WHY it was there, maybe it was a hint for happenings in a future book??

Anyways, LOVE this author and LOVED this book.

**4.5 Alpha Stars**

After reading The Final KO, I was so excited to know we’d be getting Cammy’s story. She is Rayne’s best friend from The Final KO.

I loved Cammy. She was super feminine and sassy. Being inside her head was a trip. The things this girl thought had me laughing out loud way too many times. Towards the end though, I was ready to strangle her. Thankfully, she got her head out of her ass and showed why she was a great heroine.

Jake was THE perfect alpha hero. He knew what he wanted right away and decided he was going to have it.
“I knew you were more than a quick fuck. When the alpha in me saw the alpha in you, he saw his mate. The second half of his soul. His equal. Seeing you in my bed, in my home, around my animals, I’m not just fighting to keep your body. I’m fighting to win your heart. To prove that I am the man you need. Your forever.”

I reread The Final KO before starting this one and I just felt he didn’t have as strong a presence as Arson did in his book. I still absolutely loved Jake. What’s not to love about a man who loves working with animals and goes all caveman? I just needed a wee bit more interaction with him.

I also loved getting to see where Rayne and Arson were in their lives. They are one of my all-time favorite couples.

I have to say, at one point I was balling my eyes out. Something happened that sort of blindsided me. It was very emotional and hit me pretty hard. I know why it was there, it's reality. But it definitely left me needing a few tissues, that's just my tender heart. (Do not fear, nothing happens to Jake or Cammy)

I can’t wait to see what’s next in this series. Ms. Florence has me hooked.

Another hit for me! I loved Cammy in book one and she was still spunky and adorable in book 2. Jake was so sweet. He had the alpha growly thing down just like our beloved Arson! He knew Cammy was it for him and he went for it. Cammy didn't think she and Jake could work. They were the opposite of each other. She was pedicures and pampering and he was animal rescues and flannel . Once she finally gave in to her feelings, it was sweet to see them in love. With a couple bumps in the road, they try to make their differences work.
I was so happy to see more of Rayne and Arson! Love them too!
I wasn't crazy about the epilogue. I got the reference to "Casey's mom", it was cute but I wanted more about them. I hope there will be a book 3....maybe about Casey and Cameron?

this was a sweet, sexy read. Great alpha and spunky, fun heroine. No cheating whatsoever, no om drama, and an annoying woman from his past tried to cause trouble but Cammy put her in her place. It was never really implied that she was an ex, just someone from his previous life. He took no nonsense from her and publicly put her in her place as well. It was actually sweet the things he said about the h. I how there will be more in this series.

DNF Notes: Attempted to read multiple times. but despite finding the blurb cute and looking forward to reading it, I just couldn't get into the characters. Not sure if it's because I haven't read the previous story in the series, but I felt like a build-up was missing. Plus the h turned me off. Cammy came off a little too perky, quirky, and marching to the beat of her own drum…in her head for me. The dialogue was just odd. “‘What’s up, animal bitches?’” and “I could suck a dick with the best of them.” I was hoping to give this a little more time but when a 30 year old talks like that, sings karaoke, and drinks so much she pukes in a club—well yuk—she just wasn't the heroine for my tastes.

The Final Chase
The Final Chase by Jessica Florence
Romantic Comedy, Standalone Book 2, Interconnected Series.
I very rarely will read books in a series out of order, but I didn't even realize The Final Chase by Jessica Florence  was part of a series of standalones when I started it. It stands alone very well, but it also made me wish I read the first one, The Final KO, because A-- I loved the characters and the little bit of story from book one that was discussed in The Final Chase, and B-- I think I would have enjoyed The Final Chase a little more than I already did.

When I first began The Final Chase, I had a bit of a rough time. The writing style came off as a bit immature, and everything happened very quickly. But once I got into the story, I found myself really enjoying it.

Let's start with Cammy. She is a totally funny girly-girl that I want to be friends with. She is a bit immature for her age, but that will keep her young. Her inner voice made me laugh out loud several times during the book. Cammy owns a fancy salon and spa and is all about work. She is anything but an animal lover. Animals go out of their way to avoid her or pee on her. She also can't stand dirt, or outdoors in general. So when her niece has her birthday party at the exotic wildlife rescue, Cammy is totally out of her element. When she gets a little nip from a wallaby, she freaks out, and has to find a guy named Jake with a first aid kit.

When she finds him, she sees a gorgeous man. But then she notices something.
"Those bulging muscles in his arms? Well one of those arms was elbow deep in a horse's ass.
Ass.
Yep, a horse's ass."

When he tells her to go in the back door and wait, and she thought of "back door" jokes, I knew I'd like her! lol After some flirting and banter about him biting her, Cammy decided they were just too different and didn't pursue any more.

When her best friend says she is about to be "Arson'd" I was a little confused. Why? Because Arson is her best friend's boyfriend, and the hero in the first book. What is Arson'd? Steamrollered into a relationship a la Kristen Ashley. Where the alpha will not take no for an answer, and he is sure this is "it" right from the start.

Cammy is blunt, a total character, over-the-top and a little crazy. But when she bumps into Jake the next night at a club, it seems like he may be the over the top one!
"I think we should explore this...I'm an animal, remember? I like the chase and I will catch my prey." He walked us back so I was against the wall with his arms caging me in. Why was this so hot?"

They have literally said 10 words to each other when he comes out with this:
"You're an alpha, a leader. You need a man who will pursue you for your affections, and who will prove he is the better man overall. A man who will take care of your every need. Hard. Slow. Soft. Fast. A man who gives you the world, while giving you stability. You need an equal. An alpha," he purred and I think I just orgasmed."

We still haven't even hit 10% of the book yet at this point. So when I say the story and relationship started fast, I mean FAST.

The Final Chase quote

When she proceeds to get completely shitfaced and makes an idiot out of herself, Jake is there to rescue her, and he is not letting her get away. Cammy just can't see herself with an outdoorsy, animal loving guy who is on call 24/7 for his rescue.

I love how much of this story took place at the rescue. There was a lot of animal interaction. There was also a lot of Cammy. She tended to be a little too over the top sometimes.
"I couldn't let my pink velvet sausage wallet dictate was was happening."

Jake and his alpha-ness was a bit over the top too, but it was hot.

And the sex was even hotter. He was totally dominant and animalistic in bed. YUM.
Likes:

•I really liked Jake and I loved his animals.
•Yum, a dirty talking alpha who lives up to his promises.
•Cammy was fun and I can totally see myself being friends with her brand of crazy.
•The unique setting of an animal rescue.
•Opposites attract.
•The animals! I loved them all.
•Very hot alpha-growly-bossy sex.

Dislikes:

•It all started a bit too quick.
•The writing seemed a bit immature at first.
•Cammy was sometimes too over the top.
•Towards the end, Cammy started getting on my nerves a bit.
•I would have liked to get to know Jake a little more.

*OK, I can't put this in likes or dislikes, but it's good that emotions were brought out. At one point I was totally bawling my eyes out.
The Down & Dirty:
The Final Chase was a sexy, funny, sweet, crazy book with an alpha male and female. The banter and push and pull between the characters was a ton of fun, and I love a forceful alpha male. The animals played a very big role in the story, and I found myself attached to them. Since there was so much crossover from the first book, The Final KO, I think I would have enjoyed The Final Chase even more had I read that first. All in all, this is a fun read with a kooky heroine and seriously sexy alpha who loves animals.

4.5 stars!! I love that this story is entangled with rescuing animals!!
Cammy is (from the first book) Rayne's best friend. She wanted what Arson and Rayne had but she just couldn't find a guy that fit the bill. Until one day at an animal rescue a wallaby attacked her out of nowhere, and there he is a super hunky owner of the animal rescue, Jake. Too bad her world of manis and pedis and his world of dirt and sweat just don't mix. But a bet involving painting of toe nails makes their worlds collide even if it's only for a week...
Jake recently decided to open and run a animal rescue. His hearts passion. Until he lays eyes on this spit fire red headed woman who has a dramatic flare to her. He will make her love him. She will be his mate...
I loved this story. I think once again the author did a magnificent job of building this family of friends that you felt a part of. I lived on that animal rescue and loved every minute of it. I could imagine all the animals and I especially loved Casey. The part involving Casey brought tears to my eyes and hurt my soul!
I think this story did mimick the first story a bit but I didn't feel as though Jake tried nearly as hard as Arson did. I love these guys. <3.

This book started off really good but by the end I was a little disappointed. I think the lack of the Hs POV really lessened my enjoyment. I just never got to connect with him and didn't know much about him. Why and how did he even fall in love with the h? Then the ending was sooo disappointing! Like every romance couple they break up and that's not the disappointing part cause I already expected that. But what was so disappointing was the H just let the h go without a fight and didn't even really try to get her back. I did not expect that from an "alpha." And this had one of the weirdest epilogues ever. What was the point of that?

I really enjoyed this fun ,sexy read . Jake and Cammy is the perfect book couple . The are hot ,spicy and of course head over heels for each other . This book definitely kept me entertained from the beginning till the end , I loved every word of this book . Both of the main characters were strong and held the story together perfectly . After reading this book you will definitely feel a little more light hearted and just want more of it .This story took me on an enjoyable ride that left me either laughing or at one point throw my kindle but even then I couldn't bring myself to do because if I did I would have missed such an enjoyable story .
Cammy and Jake story was very well written , the plot was there it made sense ,it was fantastic . The characters had chemistry and it wasn't forced and I found it perfect .I would definitely recommend this book because it just gave me all types of good feels and if that doesn't make a book good I have no clue what does . Both characters and secondary characters were great I loved every second . i definitely want more .

I gave this book 4.5 stars!

CAUTION: HOT MAN THAT SAVES ANIMALS.

You can't get much better than a hot man that loves to save animals. Jake is just that and sooo much more. I would tell you all his secrets but you need to read to find them out. I can say that he has a very dirty mouth!

Jake own a animal rescue. Cammy is salon owner, she visits Jake animal rescue for her Neice birthday party. She meets Jake after a Wallabie bites her. Jake and Cammy have insta chemistry. When Cammy looses a bet and has to stay at the rescue for a week, she might be loosing more than just a bet. Will Jake and Cammy fight what they have or will they both leave with broken hearts?

This book had me in tears both from laughing so hard and when a rescue goes wrong. I just love how the author intertwine Rayne and Arson into this book. I will definitely be on the look out for more of her work in the future.

The Final Chase was very … Animalistic! Literally!

It was fun, refreshing and I really had a good time!

Jake and Cammy were such both strong characters, Alpha like.

The author seemed to be an animal lover and it showed. Jake was a super hot vet, too handsome for his own good and attracting all the ladies like bees.

Cammy was the sassy and quirky woman. Confident but totally helpless when it comes to Jake. A spitfire who was afraid of nothing excepted about the man who seemed to claim her.

I have to say that I was surprised. I wasn’t very sold at the beginning and then I got into this intense and crazy journey, it was so entertaining! There was madness in the air! Like, wow! Should I be afraid and running away or keeping reading it??? Definitely the second choice.

How about a man who found his mate, and was trying to show her that she was the one?? Insane, right? But when you read Jake , totally makes sense. I was laughing out loud! Being in Cammy’s mind was priceless.

They had a smoking hot chemistry and an awesome banter! Jake was totally boyfriend material and oh my hotness ... Very Alpha. The bonus?? He wasn’t a manwhore, but just a man who wanted to be loved not for his look or money, to have a happy life, doing a job that he loves.

This was a really great romance. Over The top maybe. High swooning Alert? Yes! Some good laugh and priceless moments? Definitely!

It was my first book by Jessica Florence and I liked it!

I just something fun and flirty to read and then i remembered that i hadn’t read the final chase yet and i loved cammy in the first the final ko and Arson was super Alpha in that book so surely Cammies hero would be too, well i wasn’t disappointed at all.

I loved this book Jake was Alpha and basically peed on Cammy the moment he saw her but i love Hake there was so much to him and i loved the fact he was an animal loved made that much hotter, even though there was more too him i was surprised what was revealed throughout the book but i think that made me love Jake more

Cammy was so funny and hella of a spitfire and that’s what made me love her she was the one with doubts and she was the unsure one and i loved that about her.

This book was fun, fast paced and had more wanting more this book was great and that’s the thing i live about Jessica Florence as an author is she writes what she is feeling and if that’s a trucker or fantasy or Hollywood stars then that’s what we get and i can’t wait to get into some of her other different stories.

It's always a pleasant experience reading a story written by Jessica Florence. The Final Chase was that and so much more. This is a 5 star story.

What do you get when we have Cammy, a read headed firecracker, over active, brutally honest, salon owner, who likes hair, nails and dress up, who also verbalizes out loud what pops into her mind meets Jake the alpha, animal shelter owner for big cats, bears and other exotics animals, who has his hands deep in crap all day long? We get fireworks on a Fourth of July. They can't be any different from one another even if they tried but they complete each other well.

This story was so humorous that I realized often I was laughing out loud. The bantering between these 2 had me reading almost none stop. The connection and chemistry was off the charts. I never knew what would come out of Cammy's mouth next and was surprised every time with what she would come up with. The author has done very well with this funny story that was very creatively written with characters that standout.

This is a fast paced romantic comedy that had a storyline unlike anything I've read before. I have to mention the scorching hot steamy scenes that could melt the clothes off our backs.
Beside being a refreshingly funny story it was heartbreaking at times, especially the stories on how they came about rescuing these animals. Casey, the baby tiger had some character of her own and grabbed unto my heart.

"You know when you rattle on like that, it turns me on like nothing else, sweetheart "

I loved the epilogue, it builds anticipation for a future book. Standalone written in Cammy's POV only. Although it's the second book in Final Love series it could easily be read as a standalone because the author gives just enough insight from the other characters to easily get us up to date without missing out on any important information. I highly recommend it. Also Jessica Florence's other books are worth your precious time and money.

Have you ever been arson'd? Well you need to be is all I have to say. This is Cammy's story. The one that you will probably like better than Rayne's and Arson's story. Cammy is a spitfire and the best friend that you want. She says what she wants and she gets what she wants. She tells you like it is, so reading her story was a hoot. She is this strong independent girl, that needs to find a man, so when one just pops up she's not so sure. Jake is a mans man. Hes sexy, independent and an alpha to boot. I loved him. He put Cammy in her place many times, but he got as good as he gave. He believes hes it for her, but Cammy is not so sure. So there is a lot of push pull in this book and I just say it gets steamy and it also it has a lot of seriousness that goes with it. You have some secrets that get revealed and you have the jealous girls that want Jake all to themselves. All I have to say is I had such a great time reading this book and the characters in here were great. You got to see Rayne and Arson in this book and I loved how they were moving on with their life, but they were still very close to Cammy. I love seeing a lot of sass thrown by both main people and this book did not disappoint. I loved the back to back with Cammy and Jake. I loved how Jake broke free of his orginal life to do what he loves. He found what he was looking for and he fights for it. Cammy has a soft spot with me because she thinks she not going to find that one, that one that can give her everything, but when it hits you in your face you just have the ride the wave. Now I would say that this was the end of these characters because the epilogue jumps eighteen years, but the way it ended makes me think that there might be more around the corner.

I really enjoy reading this author and I hope there are other books that I can read from her. She has this way with the Alphas and makes you want to see if they can find their match and how long it takes to realize what both characters need in the book. Love her, love her books and can't wait to read more.

So... I was awake until 2am last night reading away again! Whoops...

Things I loved:
I loved the whole animal rescue/ sanctuary aspect about this book it was one of the things that drew me in the most. I love animals and it broke my heart to read about the things the animal in this book and in the world have gone or are going through! And Casey! She was so damn cute I was crying my eyes out after what happened!
Anyway, I loved jake he was so sweet and he cared so much for the animals that he looked after I thought that was amazing. Also I loved how patient he was with Cammy and didn't push her to much into realising what her feelings were!
Cammy oh Cammy! She was such an amazing character . I laughed so many times throughout this book I mean that scene with Marlene! OH MY GOD!! I loved that it was AMAZING! I couldn't stop laughing.
Seeing Rayne and Arson again was so nice to see how they were doing and Rayne being Cammy's cheerleader when it came to her and Jake!

Things that I didn't like:
I sort of felt that the whole ending was a bit rushed. I kept waiting for something to happen towards the end and then it just came to an anticlimactic ending unfortunately.
I feel like there were somethings that were just not explained towards the end which left me asking questions after finishing it.
THE EPILOGUE! I just didn't like that at all! I was like WTF what just happened here really? I just...no I did not like that at all!

Overall, although I liked this I didn't enjoy it as much as The Final Ko and was a bit disappointed that's why I only gave it 3.5 stars and there were just some aspects to it that I just didn't like.

Cammy and Jake have a bit of a mating dance going on. Very animalistic. Take a look, "You’re an alpha, a leader. You need a man who will pursue you for your affections, and who will prove he is the better man overall. A man who will take care of your every need. Hard. Slow. Soft. Fast. A man who gives you the world, while giving you stability. You need an equal. An alpha,” he purred."
Cammy, in my opinion seems a bit high maintenance. She's sometimes a bit snarky, flirty, and for some reason being attacked by small animals. LOL. Canny is also very very funny, we could be friends. “There’s a chick here who keeps asking about you. She’s being all shady.” My feet swiftly moved over to where she was and peeked out to her spot. I wanted to laugh at what I saw. Marlene Debarue. That little skank."
The only time I don't find Cammy amusing is during "the big misunderstanding separation", luckily she snaps out of it!!!
Jake is a self proclaimed alpha male and looking to hunt down the right alpha female. There were so many animal references I thought for sure this was a shifter book! (It's not.)
"I felt like a vampire seeing the sun. I wanted to hide underneath the covers and nurse this ugly feeling in my body." The book is very witty and campy, with many animal, paranormal and pop cultural references. Something for everyone. At times, I will admit if felt like a campy carnival and like I had overindulged on sweets and rides. But, you know, that's part of the fun of a carnival experience. Fun Book.

I loved this book. It was an easy read, full of hilarious moments. I love Cammy, she is hilarious. I was in stitches at the Karaoke seen. It has brought back my love of ‘’bad blood’’ I had to go and add it to my iTunes playlist straight away. So thank you Jessica! I loved the animals and the scene with Casey the tiger and Cammy had me in tears.

Cammy isn’t an animal person. When she has an incident with a wallaby, she meets wild rescue owner, Jake Wild. Not long after the wallaby incident, she see’s Jake whilst she is on a night out. Jake soon makes it known that Cammy is going to be his, and he is going to enjoy the chase.

After Jake makes a bet with Cammy, the pair soon grow close and feelings build. But after a heart-breaking event involving Casey the tiger, Cammy comes to the conclusion that she has to leave. She can’t face any more animal heart breaking moments. But she can’t get over her love for Jake. Months later and after a moment on the beach with Jake, she soon realises she is getting what she always wanted: a family. After the birth of her best friend, Rayne’s, baby, Cammy and Jake soon reunite.

I love the epilogue for this book. And I love what Jessica did with the ending point of view. The Stacy’s mom type of moment.
