An army shipment has been robbed and a general's treasure stolen. The thieves are captured by Sioux Indians, and pay a high price - the highest price of all. A bank-raid that doesn't quite work out. More Indians. More deaths. And, for Edge, a secret love ...

One of the weirder plots that I have read in a western book. An army officer is having his valued furniture and other cherished belongings moved to his new command. The group transporting it are attacked and killed. The bandits do away with the treasures.
Edge comes across a brother and sister who are traveling to a town that the officer is staying at to hire on as bounty hunters to get his possessions back. They meet up with Edge and seeing how there's a lot of money to be made, he rides into town with them.
More gritty action with lots of bloody furniture and bullets to the head.
A great one in the series. This time Edge finds out about a 10 thousand dollar reward for stolen cargo and the gang that took it. So needing money he heads out to the odd town of Summer to meet the man who was offering the reward. He finds out he has a lot of competition in a whole town of riff raff that has been drawn in by the large reward. Though he isn't bothered, he knows his ability.
Highly recommended, one of the better ones in the series so far. Though any of the Edge books are worth reading. They never over stay their welcome and have plenty of action.
A mean spirited western in the style of High Plains Drifter, however the literary form leaves a story like that feeling all the more grimy as it lacks the artistic edge of a well put together western film, and keeps all of the racism. Not only the racism but it says real shitty things about sex work.
The violence and action are fun, but I can get that from a myriad of far superior sources.
Moving his expensively made French and British furniture to his new posting Colonel Haven is the most hated man in the US Army. To combat boredom he makes his troops perform daily chores worst than basic training. The troops are taken by surprise, a bullet through the eye spewing blood down the face, heads exploding, a man falling on a fire, skin burning, screams curling. Edge wants the 10 thousand dollar reward to get the furniture back. Edge will have a shot out with Native Americans, a bullet into the snarling teeth splintering into a million fragments. A man will get his dick cut off and tortured before giving away a vital clue. With the help of a man, Edge the ever loner will capture the furniture back and collect the money and possibly a love interest. A poor sod will fall off a fast moving wagon and the impact break both his legs, the brilliant white jagged bones ripped through the flesh.
Another good read by this author in the series. The only thing, I think he’s starting to go a little too far with the character. In saying that, I still am enjoying this western series.
