The series relaunch previewed in the recent issue 0 continues here. Join creator Dan Mendoza for the all new adventures of the cult hit series featuring his undead anti-hero, Zombie Tramp, now brought to life by the amazing talents of new superstar artist, TMChu. It's kinky supernatural fun as Zombie Tramp hits the road, starting in... Sin City of course!
I absolutely loved this short comic. Dark, graphic, and gruesome. The art work in the book is frickin amazing and beautiful. Janey - is one bad-ass sexy zombie. But listen fellas, don't get to close, in less you want a death wish!
I haven't read a Zombie Tramp comic before ..... but I want more! This was awesome ..... stunningly gory graphics and a storyline that draws you in and leaves you alternatively chuckling .... and chucking. Lol. A zombie schlockfest feast with an undead a hell of a lot sexier than you're used to seeing. Bring on more!
Not too gross. Not too sexy. But also not too bad. The idea of zombie who can somehow change her appearance into that of some nymph is interesting, as is an undead Elvis (or is he?). That said, you don't get much else with this first issue. It's enough to make me want you check out the second one, though.
I saw this in the Kindle store and thought I'd give it a shot, since it looked completely different and way out of the realm of the comics I normally read. It's definitely a mature read--there's lots of cursing, blood, sexual references, and a bit of nudity. But I expect those things from this comic, and they didn't bother me.
What did bother me? The grammatical errors. If there had only been one or two, I probably wouldn't have minded. But there were so many that it left me wondering, where was the editor? Did the author even have an editor? I realize this sounds like a very trivial thing to be bothered by, but when a story has numerous errors, that pulls me out of the story. So, I don't think I shall be reading any more issues.
Worthy of the time one would spend on reading a guilty pleasure. Zombie story mixed with tales of sex workers and organized crime. Solid art, and we'll paced stories and arcs. It's no Saga or Black Hammer, but better than the Walking Dead. Whenever I open an issue or trade, it has me hooked to the end.
The book with her already dead doesn't explain why, and it doesn't explain how she can change from a girl normal girl to an undead. Don't even give you a hint... maybe they're saving it for a later book?
This is an interesting comic outside of what I typically read. I enjoyed this first issue, but I'm not sure how I'll feel about the series as a whole yet. If graphic, violent, and overly-sexual themes mixed up with zombies are your thing, then this series is for you.
