I've written fanfic and made vids in a really ridiculous number of fandoms. Over the years, I've also used the pseudonyms shalott and the lady of shalott. All my work is available on the AO3 and you can also find me online in various other places.
You are welcome to add and review any of my stories here if you like, and I also love comments at AO3 or any of my other online haunts. I also have a blanket permission policy for noncommercial transformative work of my work (eg, podfic, remix, fanart, etc) -- I love to be linked to anything you do, but you don't need to ask permission.
Four years later, and Life Sentence has inconspicuously worked its way into my top favorite comfort rereads. It's fun, exciting, sexy, smooth and very much an Astolat. There's little I don't like about it, except the need for morefleshedoutlongerrrretcetc that always accompanies great reads.
It's quickly becoming one of my favourite fics ever, and one of the most often reread. And since I discovered the podfic on friday (or since I finally got to downloading it) it's one to re-listen to as well.
I'd like a little bit more world building so I'd get to know how natural/non-forced bonds are created.
Today's revelation: they were totally bonded already during the mission.
Astolat can make me read and enjoy ANY pairing in ANY fandom. I'm really into the concept of Bonding here and wish she'd apply it to some of my ships too.
I did not expect that. I am not into cars ( - don't even drive - ), have never seen The Fast and the Furious movies and don't usually enjoy action flicks with car races. This was my first piece of fan fiction and I have not heard of the -rather ridiculous - “bonding”-trope ever before.
None of the above mattered, I was hooked from the get-go. All that adrenaline and testosterone, very quick-paced - what else in the fandom of the fast and the furious - and just so... macho. I loved it.
