Parts of me would have like to give this book as low as a 2-star rating, but parts of me am deeply thankful for this book's existence and what it established, for without it, we would have never gotten the fan-effing-tastic sequel series! So a so-so 3-star seems fair at the moment. If I ever feel like it I might elaborate why the book didn't exactly work for me, but it'd have to wait. =P
