I really like these "Star Wars" DK Readers, like this one. This one in particular gives you a little backstory on Queen Amidala, from her point of view. It's great for a beginner reader who is really into "Star Wars."

It is a good book for a young Star Wars fan. I thought writing it in the form of a diary was a nice touch.

We didn’t like how it was written and thought a 14 year old queen would be a better writer.

This book is great for the young Star Wars fan wanting to know more about Queen Padme Amidala and the planet Naboo. Intended for those who are beginning to read alone, Level 2, it has longer sentences and increased vocabulary, information boxes full of extra fun facts, simple index, and occasional adult participation is helpful.

For beginner readers who are interested in the world of Star Wars, this book is a great choice. This book focuses on Queen Amadala's life and the things she does on a daily basis. The stills from the movie are nice and the writing style is very nice for people just learning how to read. A nice book to have in your collection.

If your kids know more about the new Star Wars than you do, than this is a great book to read together.
Padme Amidala's diary offers clear explanation of who is who, where they come from, and their roles the battle(s).
The pictures are stills from the movie (episode one, I think.-with Anakin as a child, introduction to Queen Amidala, and the god awful Jar Jar Binks.)

A children's book that really serves two purposes, it gives the the younglings something they will want to read (if they are a fan of Star Wars of course) and it gives an appropriate age level synopsis of The Phantom Menace from Queen Amidalias perspective.

I loved it because I loved the Gungan troopers and I mostly liked little Anakin Skywalker. I also liked Padme Amadala.

Chloe wanted this one from the library this week. Glad we didn't purchase it, but it was an ok read - just basically a retelling of TPM from Padme's POV.
