Colin Hawkins (1945) was born in Blackpool, England, and won a scholarship to art school at the age of thirteen. He and his wife, Jacqui Hawkins, produced their first children’s book, Witches, in 1981 and over one hundred titles have followed since then.
Lo he leído con una alumna, ¡nos ha encantado! Lo comenzamos para ambientarnos para Halloween, y lo hemos seguido disfrutando hasta ahora. Es divertido, con ilustraciones magníficas
The perfect book to complete this year’s reading challenge. I went through a vampire phase as a kid (mid 90s) and used to borrow this book all the time from the library. Some images from books stay with you, and I never forgot the ‘Goremet Supper’ (heh) when they have neck for dinner.
after years of searching i found the book that was my favourite during elementary school aka this one!!! pictures are so detailed story is so cute i'm glad to have a copy of my own now so i can read it whenever i want >:))))
I have absolutely loved this since I was a child, it is so funny and I love the artwork in this too. Some bits are a bit corny, but that's what makes it fun.
Grabbed this one from home during a recent visit. Haven't read with the kiddo yet b/c it might be a little too scary (even if it is "fun scary"), but rereading it by myself was so fun.
I love this book and Witches by the same author when I was a kid. I want to get the two of them this year, I'm an old fart but the art and humor was so goooood.
