Great prose treatment for the Strontium Dogs.

A really interesting storyline for Johnny Alpha and Wulf Sternhammer. The irrepressible duo and their Gronk companion seemingly face a classic galactic MacGuffin hunt with a family connection, but it soon becomes apparent that beyond the pirates and shifty Stronts lies an implacable enemy with a pedigree that goes back centuries...

Filled with the kind of tough, gut-crunching action 2000AD fans expect from Strontium Dog, this is a cerebral treat as well as a comic book romp. Well worth a read, and a great twist at the end. Satisfying stuff with our memorable heroes.

I can't remember when I read this, it is on my shelf. It was only okay and sent me for a dig through my comic boxes to read the real thing.

I am reading the "complete" casefiles at the moment. Really enjoying them (Grant, Ezquerra) - other writers just didn't get it and the art work told the story. So really there is no point for tie in novels like this..

For a random quick read book I assumed probably wouldn't be that exciting, this is a fantastic story whether you know the comic background of Johnny Alpha or not whilst capturing the humour and the characterisation perfectly.
