This is one of those covers that annoys the hell out of me. The hero is supposed to have "silver-blonde hair" Does the dude on the cover have "silver-blonde hair" NO...he does not. He doesn't even have BLONDE hair! *lol* On top of that the composition is VERY off and the TITLE of a book should ALWAYS be the largest text on its cover. The author's name is WAY too big IMO.
Meh...this book was boring. It was super slow burn (no sexy times until 70%) which would have been fine had the hero and heroine had an ounce of sexual chemistry between them. Alas, they simply DIDN'T. Oh, they made great friends, but honestly, that is all I felt between these two. I was bored out of my mind most of the time.That said the last 20% did pick up a bit for me but it wasn't enough to save this one from being a disappointment overall.

4 - "We're at a crossroads right now... with a decision to make." Stars!
The third book in Alexis Morgan’s really enjoyable Sergeant Joe’s Boys, series finally brings us Mikhail Wanjek’s story.
I have to say this book just pipped Tino’s story to be my favourite, and in its entirety, this is a series that has gotten better with each new release. Every book has had a little twist on your standard boy meets girl type romance, and the author has hit the right level when it comes to balancing romance with drama and character backgrounds for me perfectly.
"You’re sweet and funny and so damn beautiful. You deserve better than a messed up vet fighting to keep his head above water…"
Both Mikhail and Amy have pasts that they are trying to move on from, for wholly different reasons, and seeing the strong but emotionally vulnerable warrior falling for the innocent yet independent and feisty heroine made Love, Always & Forever a book I read in one sitting.
The last thing a woman with such innocent eyes needed was to tangle up her life with a man who had seen and done so many ugly things…
You also get plenty of interaction from all the previous characters and I loved the banter between Mikhail, Tino and Jack, not brothers by blood, but brothers nonetheless. Add in two cute dogs, and it was a joy to read start to finish.
"Nothing’s going to happen that you don’t want to happen. Not now. Not ever."
I hope the little hint that was dropped towards the end of the book about the guy’s mutual acquaintance Jay comes to fruition and the author is given the opportunity to match-make and give him a story as well. I also think there is spin off potential here with Amy having three single brothers all perfect for more books too. Whatever the outcome I will definitely looking to read more by Alexis Morgan in the future.

I think Mikhail Wanjek may just be my favourite of Sergeant Joe’s boys and I didn’t think Alexis Morgan was going to be able to top the sweet Tino.
The last of Marlene’s boys was back home safe from overseas, but Mikhail brought back with him demons from his time in Afghanistan. In addition, his rocky start in life had left him with a lot of guilt and issues in his relationships. I found the interactions between Jack, Tino and Mikhail to be highly entertaining and heartwarming. Very close in age, the bond they formed when they went to live with Joe and Marlene and became brothers was strong.
Mikhail’s new neighbour, Amy Short, moved into town with her own painful past (in the form of a heart condition) and it was one that left her seeming very young and innocent for her age. Her secrets did play a part in the overall story, but Amy’s sweet and compassionate personality stood all on it’s own in keeping the pages turning for me in anticipation of what would happen next.
From almost the start, Mikhail and Amy volleyed between fighting their attraction and forgetting their agreement to be just friends and acting on emotions. I got each of their reasons for wanting to keep their relationship platonic, but it was so obvious that it was never going to work. Their chemistry was so apparent, from a mile away.
Mikhail was a perfect combination of sweet and sexy. I wavered between swooning and fanning myself each time he lost control around Amy.
This was a great conclusion tot he “Sergeant Joe’s Boys” series and, based on the epilogue, I am hopeful for a spin-off story for Jay.

He kissed his way along her jawline, his big hands settling on her ass, pulling her right up against the rigid proof that she wasn’t the only one hungry for something besides breakfast.”

This book is a part of a series but this is the first one I read. It offers a similar theme of a family adopting and caring for many men, most of whom join the military and come back a bit more broken than before.
Mikhal is a loner and fighting his demons. Amy is fighting for her independence and desperate to live life as she wants. When they meet, it is a beautiful connection.
I have read several of this author works and love them all. She knows how to create heartfelt connections in people while delivering plenty of steam and developing that intense pull between two people. Protection, sweetness, lighthearted fun, and a fierce love is what she delivers in this book.
Definitely a story you will remember. Another winner from Alexis Morgan!

I really enjoyed Love, Always and Forever.
The storyline was well written and very engaging, I found myself turning the pages late into the night until I finished.
Both Amy and Mikhail were likable, endearing characters that touched my heart with their story.
I liked how they started off as friends and moved into lovers. These two shared a beautiful connection and I have no doubt they were going to have a wonderful life together.
Love, Always and Forever was a beautiful, heartwarming read and a great addition to the Sergeant Joe's Boys series. Each book can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend them all.

My Thoughts:
This is the first time I have read this author and even though I liked the story, I felt like it was not giving me the fulfillment I needed as a reader. Even though this is part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone.
Mikhail has a painful past and he suffers from PTSD. Since he has returned from his last tour and tried to settle back into civilian life, he has pushed away his adoptive family and isolated himself. He continues to have nightmares and flashbacks which triggers his anger issues. Mikhail doesn’t want to subject a woman to his tortured soul. Until he meets Amy.
Amy is such a sweet soul but has a lust for life. She has led an overprotected life until she had heart surgery that gives her the freedom to live her life. She was born with a heart valve defect and was living in her family’s protective bubble. That was great but when she had the successful surgery her family wouldn’t allow her to fully live her life without hassle. So, she up and moved 1 hour away to start over. When she finally got to meet her grumpy but handsome neighbor, it was lust at first sight for Amy.
Their relationship developed as a friendship and even though there was a spark there, Mikhail put the skids on. He kept gravitating to Amy more and more, seeking that solace that only she could provide. Amy enjoyed her time with Mikhail and wanted more. They both had secrets from their pasts that they needed to share and when things came to light, misunderstandings happened, families got involved and it got messy.
I won’t give any more away as you need to read this story for yourself. I loved the friends to lovers aspect, however, I felt it dragged on too long, thus causing the story to drag in spots. I was hoping to have a longer period where they figured out their relationship instead of the rushed ending, which was a big disappointment for me. The book had a lot of promise, it was just those things that caused me to enjoy it less.

Mikhail, a firefighter, is trying to sleep after a long, and tragic, shift. However, the persistent knocking on his door a couple hours into his sleep refuses to let him continue. As he's only moved in within the last three months, and his brothers, Jack and Tino, knew he'd be sleeping, he has no idea who it could be. When he sees a beautiful woman bearing brownies on his doorstep, that's not even enough to truly wake him up or make him coherent. While he admires the view as she returns to her place, he vows to make a better impression the next time they meet.
Amy has plans for her new place, and though she's only lived there a week, she's excited to get started. Unfortunately, in her eagerness, she accidentally disturbed her neighbor's obviously much needed sleep. But she's just so excited to bring her new puppy home and to do that she needs a fence, and that involves Mikhail's yard due to boundary lines.
Amy can't help but be thankful when Mikhail appears later and she learns not only is he willing to do the work, as it's his yard too, but his brother also does construction for a living and will undoubtedly quote her a better price. Plus, not having to do all the work herself would make her family breathe easier. That is, if she would've ever told them. She knows her parents and four older brothers mean well, and her health issues since birth play a huge role in their protectiveness, but she moved for a reason. Her health has greatly improved and she needs to live without the bubble they wish to put her in. Chad, the youngest brother, is the only one that understands and though he misses her, knows why she needs to do this.
Mikhail is struggling with his own demons, namely those in the form of memories and regrets in regards to his time in the Marines. They sneak up on him sometimes and still have an impact that doesn't really seem to be fading as much as he'd like. Though Mikhail does a good job of protecting his secrets, Amy can see the pain on his face and in his eyes at times. The fact that she has her own, albeit for different reasons, makes those signs easier to notice.
Though the chemistry is obviously mutual, as evidenced by their explosive kisses, Mikhail feels the man he's become isn't the one for Amy and resolves to remain friends only. However, Amy, and the way she makes him feel, are a lure he finds difficult to resist.

When Mikhail tries to create distance between them, he's surprised to realize Amy isn't wanting a relationship either, even if she isn't truthful with her reasons why.

However, as the two continue working together, and of course, becoming friends, both are finding their arrangement difficult to maintain.
Can Mikhail and Amy remain friends only? Or are they destined to be so much more? How will Mikhail react upon learning of Amy's medical history? Will he treat her differently, even knowing her heart surgery was a success? Will Mikhail ever completely open himself up to Amy? Or will he continue to withhold certain parts? Is that something Amy can leave with? Or, due to her history, is Amy not willing to settle for less than everything she deserves? Will Mikhail lose Amy? On a purely personal note, I prefer when there aren't references to the hero's sexual past, as in one to "to the wild weekend" that was his last time with a woman, who may have been blonde. Things like that lessen my investment in the main characters as a couple.

As a whole I really enjoy most of what I read. I'm lucky that way, or maybe it's just that I only read what I like. Either way I'm lucky, right? I point that out because I can honestly say that I've really enjoyed reading Alexis Morgan's paranormal's and yes I like her contemporaries too, just not as much.
Believe me when I say this, if you haven't yet read her paranormal's, do so. They are so good. Anyway, back to the reason we are here. A review of Love, Always & Forever. This is the third book in the Sergeant Joe's Boys.
Like I pointed out Morgan's paranormal's are my favorite but this series is a very, very close second. From the first book, Always: For You Jack I've been hooked. The whole idea of the series appealed to me. I like the idea that all three boys are adopted and how much they love and respect their adopted parents. I'm glad that the author didn't make each story of Joe's boys journeys, into the same thing.
You'll find each story has a common thread but can stand on it's own. Yes, because of that common thread you will find each of the boys willing to help those in need but you'll also see their struggles. It's a beautiful blend.
In this last story it's Mikhail's turn. He had such a fun time watching each of his brothers fall under the spell of love. Now it's his turn and those same brothers are having the time of their lives. I did too. It was so much fun reading this story. I think that Morgan picked the perfect person for Mikhail. He needs someone tough, but also someone that needs him to be there for them when they do need that helping hand.
Once a hero, always a hero.
Amy is that perfect mix. She's strong, much stronger then those around her give her credit for being. She always knows just how to make Mikhail feel good about himself. I really loved these two together and in fact they are my favorite couple of the series and that's saying something since I really like this series.
In Love, Always & Forever you meet Amy's family which includes some single brothers. Can we all say new series? We will have to wait and see.
For those who's already read the first two books not to worry old favorites from those books are in this one, plus besides her brothers we also meet Panda & Sarge. You'll love them! I can't say enough about this great series. Read it!

If you have read Always for You: Jack (Sergeant Joe's Boys, #1), or, Always Be True: Tino (Sergeant Joe's Boys, #2) you know that Joe and Marlene started out as foster parents and then later on the adopted the three boys they were fostering. Joe has passed away and all three of his boys are at the point in their lives that change is inevitable and nothing would make Marlene happier than seeing her three boys settle down and start families of their own. Mikhail is the last of Sergeant Joe's Boys to get his HEA, and his is the story I was waiting for because Mikhail was the brother that we didn't get to see much of in the first two books so he was a bit of a mystery.
I LOVED Mikhail and Amy together! Sorry, I had to get that out first. Amy was a delight, she was a strong female character that made me root for her every step of the way. She has moved away from her overbearing family and is starting a new life for herself, and the first thing on her list has her seeking out her neighbor.

This is a lovely story of two people trying to start fresh and leave their past behind them, both for such different reasons.
As soon as they meet there is a bond and chemistry and it just continues to grow, which you can feel happening.
Mikhail is hesitant as he doesn't think he is ready to be with anyone as his mind still drifts off to his demons. But Amy has her own issues she's dealing with.
We got to see Mikhails brothers Jack and Tino who have there own books before this one. I haven't read them but it hasn't effected me reading this. The relationships between them and Ricky- jacks son is great to read.
I really enjoyed this story, there were some bits that were a bit slow and repetitive but overall a nice read.

Great read about an ex-marine that had a bad childhood and still experiences nightmares from the war and a woman that had a medical condition that caused her family to be super over protective of her.
They both have a lot of issues to overcome in order for them to love each other and realize they need each other in their lives.
This was my first book by Alexis Morgan and I totally plan on reading her other books. Especially the ones in this series. And I can't wait for her next one to come out. Because of course she ended the book with th intentions of continuing this families stories.
Very well written. She pulls you into this love story in the first couple of pages. No you can't put it down until it is over. Loved it.

The "baby" brother of the 3 adopted sons of Joe, Mikhail is having trouble adapting back to civilian life and suffers from PTSD. Personally, I think his new job as a firefighter doesn't help.
His new next door neighbor is Amy who is trying to escape from her family's over-protectiveness after suffering from illness most of her life. They each have their own issues to overcome and tried to stick to being friends "without benefits".
The romance is again nice and slow. This has been quite a pleasant trilogy.

This is my first read in a contemporary setting with this author. I have read some of her past paranormal books from the series Paladins of Darkness and loved those and thought to give this one a try. I really loved this book and this is my first read in this series. Even though this was the 3rd book, I din't feel as if I missed out from the two previous books. This story is about Amy and Mikhail. Mikhail is back home and living on his own. he is still suffering from flashbacks and is working with the firefighter dept. Amy has been sheltered her whole life bu her family because of a medical condition. She has finally been given the green light and wants to live without her family hovering over her. She makes the break and moves away from them into her own home, right next to the sexy Mikhail. They work together to build a fence on her property and she gets to meet his brothers and nephew. I enjoyed the camaraderie that they shared and the love that was apparent between both families. 4.5 stars!

What a way to end the story of the 3 boys that Joe and Marlene raised! This was my favorite book in this series!!!!
I loved the back stories that both characters had; it wasn't just about Misha and his demons but it was also about the secrets that Amy kept. I loved the humor between them and the way their relationship slowly grew even though neither of them wanted it.
I'm left torn with Marlene...in a way I want her to find happiness, but at the same time I don't think anyone will be able to replace Joe. That said, I'd love a prequel book....one that tells the story of Joe and Marlene and what their life was like when they took in 3 foster children so close in age. The troubles they had, how what they went through made their marriage stronger....

I didn't love this because some moments were slightly off, but, the book as a whole really impressed me. The writing was smooth and very fluid, I had no issues following along with the POV switches.
It was heartwarming to see the bond of family and love that existed within this story. I also liked the ongoing theme of feeling stifled and when to take back your life. I tip my hat off to the heroine because she was strong and brave in going after whatever she wanted. Sometimes we love our families to death but pleasing them and going against your own feelings and instincts might kill you. She left the safety of everything she knew to find herself and find what she wanted. I really admired her character and what she went though.
The ending was a bit meh and I could have done with a more well rounded epilogue.
All in all I really liked this.

Love, Always and Forever was a very cute story. A man fresh out of the military , trying to find himself after seeing too many things. PTSD is related here. He is trying to live a normal life, away from his overprotective family. His mental state is constantly in question.
Amy, has many scars herself. She has an overprotective family, and she is also trying to live a normal life. She has a defective heart valve, one that has been fixed with surgery, but her family is terrified of loosing her, so she moves away from them to try to find a place to heal without her family watching her every move. They meet because they are neighbors and help heal each other..
There are some points that need to be brought up. If you are suffering from PTSD as much as this guy is, do you really think that you would be able to get a job as a firefighter? I have a friend with PTSD who can't get anything more taxing than security guard for a trucking company. It is unlikely they would let a mentally unstable person have that kind of duty. Especially right out of the Core. I believe you need extensive training to become a firefighter. A volunteer firefighter, yes; especially in a small town. But, I am not sold on his ability to handle firefighting.
Mikhail is confrontational. His brothers are also. These boys all have backgrounds in some kind of abuse, either mental or physical, and this may account for some of the aggressive tendencies. They are all adopted from various places, but they seem overly assertive for no reason. Like, when Mikhail brings Amy to meet them all, and his brother gets in his face, ready to fight him because Mik says they are just friends. I literally was expecting some Bear or Wolf Shifters to come from this kind of behavior. No one acts like that in real life. Not even in prison. It is forgiven in shifter books because, come on, there are no rules in shifter books. You can make them act any way you want, and it is acceptable. But two times he almost went to the ground with Jack, because he didn't want to get involved with Amy. ?
In another scene, things got heated when Mik meets Amy's brothers. They also wanted to attack him. Who acts like that? Overprotective is one thing, but the overly aggressive behavior a little much. Unless they (Amy's family) are really bears , and Mik's family were wolves or bears, also. Than, well I could get behind it.

Yes. Desserts, treats, happy food. How many brownies,cookies,cakes,pies,and banana splits can this girl eat? How much does this woman weigh? I am guessing she is pretty plump. Who can say they ate a banana split and then say that they know that Mik wants to eat apple pie ? Agh. The thought of that much sweetness is disgusting. I am not against dessert, but come on! It was a diabetic nightmare. Unless............ They are shifters!! That must be the answer for all of this. No way that normal people act like this. I wonder when we get to find out that this is a shifter series?

I LOVED this book !! This is my favorite book in the series. I loved Misha and Amy and loved their story.
Misha is the youngest of Joe's sons and the last home after 10 years in the Marine Corp. He hasn't transition well so far but he seems to be trying. His job as a firefighter seems to exacerbate his stress at times. Between his childhood and his service, he's carrying a lot. And he misses Joe. His life changes when he gets a new neighbor next door Amy. Amy wakes him up bright and early one morning after a very bad shift on duty with a plate of brownies, introducing herself, babbling about the fence and he's half asleep. Doesn't know what he nodded his head to, he just wants to shut the door and go back to sleep, but not until he grabs a few brownies.
This is first time Amy has been on her own, she moves away from family, buys a house and is determined to live her life. She sets firm boundaries with her parents and her 4 brothers. She keeps them pretty much in the dark. Especially after she buys a motorcycle after riding with Mikhail. She's keeping some things from him, I felt it was because she didn't want him to look at her differently.
And he's keeping a lot from her. His temper, which she manages to sooth, even after a bad flare up.
These two start working toward something, neither is sure what but it works.
It was great to see the brothers again and Ricky, Jack's son. And their wives make a brief appearance.
Joe's wife, their Mom is present in this book also. She worries about Misha and she can read him like a book. She tries to encourage him with Amy but seems to fall on deaf ears at times. Jack seems to take great pleasure in busting his chops and it does cause friction. The bottom drops out when two of her brothers make a surprise visit, they have a huge blow out and she takes off on her bike, telling him she'll meet him at Tom's. That's when her brothers spill her private business and Misha is totally thrown off his game and angry. Man is his angry. He's cold, defensive and shuts her right down. He's not talking to her, she takes this time to go home and square things with her family. Her mother is a thorn in the backside. Seriously. After spending a couple days cleaning out the rest of her room, she decides to head back home. And prepared to move on. Meanwhile Misha has had his come to Jesus moment also. You have to read it to fully appreciate the whole story.
Alexis writes a great story and this one was just perfection, it had it all. Steam, laughs, dogs and wise cracking brothers. I have really loved this series and recommend each book. Doesn't really matter what order, just read them.

I came across Alexis Morgan with her Snowberry Creek series and the Paladins; I like her writing style, how she creates realistic, developed and relatable characters, with solid background stories.
This is my first read in “Sergeant Joe’s Boys”, the third installment of the series, about the younger son, Mikhail, a firefighter and former Marine. A character with a tortured background and a painful childhood Misha is redeemed first by the love of his adoptive family and then by the heroine, who has some baggage of her own.
Morgan creates a character that is both a striking physical male specimen, a "six-foot-four Viking", all big, blonde and blue-eyed, and a tortured soul, suffering from survivor’s guilt from his childhood (he still carries guilt over his mother’s death), the service and his work as a fireman.
Apparently, there’s nothing special going on in this story, just a slow burn romance with two young people getting to know each other while enjoying each other’s company, with some dreams and secrets blended.
The characters’ families (specially the hero’s) also play an important role in the story with their meddling, alphaness, overprotectiveness and a lot of good-humored banter.
I liked the realistic way the heroine’s condition and her decisions about it were handled.
And now I’m waiting eagerly for Jay’s story, as Marlene promises in the epilogue…

There was just him, this amazing woman, this one moment.
And it was perfect.
Oh, so perfect. Truly, Love Always and Forever was exactly what I didn't dare hope it would be—and left me feeling good, after taking my heart and my feels on a roller coaster ride.
I adored the first book in this series, Always for You: Jack and *liked* the second, Always Be True: Tino, but this one? I think this one is my favorite. I wanted to know Mikhail, and I was impatient for his story, but I didn't want to get my hopes up—lest I feel the sting of disappointment. But I need not have worried. This book was sexy and funny and cute, and it had the same strong, enviable and heartfelt foundation of family that is the hallmark of this series.
It’s my favorite thing about these books—the connection between the Lukash family, even the absent Joe, for whom the series is named. There were several moments between Mikhail and his brothers which illustrated the depth of their bond while feeling like the most natural boys-will-be-boys, brothers-will-be-brothers, nobody’s perfect fights/pep talks/teases possible.
The developing friendship between Amy and Mikhail felt equally natural, and their obvious chemistry and troubled pasts left their emotions raw—and took mine along with them. I loved seeing them built their rapport, their easy banter and tension-laden exchanges making me swoon and smile in equal measure. Alexis Morgan did a fantastic job of revealing the events, the flaws, the fears that hold both Mikhail and Amy back from pursuing more, ensuring it never felt contrived or unnecessarily dramatic.
Simply put, Love Always and Forever just felt right. The choices felt human; the love felt authentic; the family dynamics felt true. And the end result was a book that spoke to me on every level, that I simultaneously couldn't wait to finish and didn't want to stop reading. A book that was oh, so perfect—even if the people it was about weren't.

Oh, so perfect. Truly, Love Always and Forever was exactly what I didn't dare hope it would be—and left me feeling good, after taking my heart and my feels on a roller coaster ride.
I adored the first book in this series, Always for You: Jack and *liked* the second, Always Be True: Tino, but this one? I think this one is my favorite. A good read. They have this connection that they are pulled towards one another in time of distress, in times they want to spend time together, and in times they want to share something. They are friends without benefits, neither wanting to cross the line, but waiting for the other to do so. The sexual chemistry is strong and they want to cross those boundaries they set, but yet both are scared to do so. The sex scenes are steamy. Both have some secrets that cause some problems, but they figure everything out and get their HEA. It is a story about family, love, and dogs.

WOW!!! I loved this book! Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down! I immediately fell in love with Misha and Amy's story and I felt like I was on a journey with them through it all. Even the secondary characters reached out through the pages and grabbed my emotions!
The slow fall, the emotional upheavals, the quiet moments. This book dragged me along for the ride, and I didn't want it to stop. I'll definitely be going back to reach the series from the beginning, cause if they're half as good as this one was, I'll love every second of the experience!!

This is the third book in the series. This story is a boy meets girl romance but with a twist. this author has a fab way of bringing exceptional characters you just connect with.I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.

This is the third book in Morgan’s series, Sergeant Joe’s Boys. Each of the boys had a hard life and were in the foster system. Joe and his wife Marlene adopts them as teenagers and raises them to become the good men they are. Each served time in the Military, following in Joe's footsteps. Joe has died and they have all returned home at various times to be closer to the "mom" they love. I enjoyed this series, even though there was a little to much sex for my liking. This is Mikhail's story (Misha), the youngest of the three boys.
Mikhail has recently retired from the Marines and is now working as a fireman. He has his some PTSD from his time in the military, but he is coping for the most part. He does have times where he needs to be alone with his anger and his memories. He has bought a house to begin his new life and seems to be existing, but not much more than that. Then he meets his very attractive new neighbour, Amy Short. The two soon become good friends, working together on a fence and their gardens. Amy is on her own for the first time and she is eager to try new experiences such as learning to ride a motorcycle and adopting a puppy. And Mikhail is more and more attracted to Amy but is worried about taking their relationship any further due to his demons. It’s hinted throughout the book that Amy has moved away from home to escape the smothering love of her family who are extremely protective of her because of a past unspecified health problem. We also learn that Mikhail carries a load of guilt for not being able to save his drug-addicted mother when he was young and then not to be able to save civilians in Afghanistan or the victims of the fires he is fighting.
As the story progresses, you know how this is going to end, it is a romance novel after all, but the journey is nice. You see how both Mikhail and Amy realize they have fences to mend with others and themselves. I enjoy this family put together by love. Mikhail, his brothers and nephew tease each other incessantly and the love they have shows. The way they treat each other when the bad creeps in, the anger and temper that seems to come with PTSD, shows their respect and care. His brothers understand because they went through similar difficulties transitioning back to civilian life, but hold off giving advice except to suggest he find someone he can talk to. The relationship between Mikhail and his adopted mother, Marlene, is one that I think everyone would love to have with their own mother. She is loving, but knows when to advise and when to back off.
This is a nice romantic series and this book ties it up nicely. I recommend this to those who like romance without a lot of erotica. There is some sex, but it is only a couple of incidents so should not turn those off that do not like sex in a book. The publisher generously provided me with a copy of this book via Netgalley.

Not only is this the first novel I've read by this author, it's also the first novel I've read in this series, although it was easy enough to pick up on and understand the inter-relationships from Ms. Morgan's previous novels in this series, which features 3 homeless and alone boys, now grown into manhood, who were adopted by Joe and Marlene, the best adoptive parents anyone could possibly hope for. This installment is about Mikhail (Misha) Wanjek, a former Marine with PSTD, who is now working as a firefighter and trying to keep his PTSD-driven episodes under control. His new next door neighbor, Amy Short, has secrets of her own, in this friendly neighbors-to-lovers romance, and I give it 3 stars.
While Ms. Morgan's writing skills aren't bad, I truly don't have much to say about this slow moving romance novel, which surprises me, since I generally love reading wounded warrior stories--but while Mikhail has the requisite number of PTSD-driven episodes, and the fear of exposing them to his attractive new neighbor, they simply weren't terribly moving to this reader, nor was Amy's ongoing battle with her own family members, whose attempts to always treat her like the sickly child she once was, failed when she escaped their overprotective clutches by buying her own home and moving 100 miles away from them.
Despite what was intended to be both the attraction to and romance between these two characters, the story moved forward at such a leaden pace, and their relationship developed so slowly and in such a mundane and on-again, off-again fashion, I simply couldn't connect with either of them. Building a fence between their two properties to accommodate Amy's soon-to-be-adopted puppy seemed to take up the entire first half of the novel. Yes, the author's writing skills are up to par, yes, Misha and Amy eventually get together and yes, there's an HEA ending, but if you're looking for a novel with strong, dramatic moments and deeply felt emotion, you'll probably find this novel to be as lackluster as I did. It's an okay, fair to middling read, but when I finished reading it, I discovered that I had little interest in reading the preceding novels in this series.

Mikhail had only been asleep two hours when he woke up. Then he realized someone was ringing his doorbell he thought it was one of his brothers but it turned out to be his new neighbor- Amy. Mikhail had only been in his house for three months he had been a marine for ten years now he was a firefighter. Amy had brought brownies with her. Amy had moved next store last week. Amy had come to talk to Mikhail about his part of the fence. Mikhail said he would talk to her later and went back to bed. Mikhail caught Amy as she almost fell as she had started tearing down the fence . Mikhail told her he would help and have his brother to give them a quote as he might as well do his own fence since Amy was. He had been building fences since before Mikhail had been out of H S. Mikhail wasn’t looking for a long term relationship . he had convinced his mom and brothers he was doing fine most of the time even if he wasn’t. There were too many dark memories mixed in with an equal number of regrets for him to be satisfied with how his life turned out. Amy hated keeping secrets from her family but sometimes it was for the best. Amy bought her own house one hundred miles from her parents and four brothers as they were too overprotective as she had encountered a lot of health problems because of her bad heart valve. But she had surgery and was doing great. After working on the fence together Mikhail invited Amy for barbecue and they rode on his Harley and she loved it. Then Mikhail kissed Amy. Amy was experiencing a lot of firsts with Mikhail.
Story it went through two different pasts but both were very deep pain. Amy and her bad heart and Mikhail with his guilt of his mother’s death and all he had seen and done while being a marine and serving his country. This really choked me up at times. But then at other times it really warmed my heart I felt like I was there with Amy and Mikhail. How could you not love Amy or Mikhail. I also loved Mikhail's brothers and mom who loved him so much and would do anything they could for him. At least his brothers understood what Mikhail was going through as they had all went through it. SUCH a touching story with a great plot. I could not find anything to complain about in this story which is great. It has become a new favorite of mine. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story and I highly recommend.

Love, Always and Forever is a sweet, sexy in a slow burn kind of way, friends to lovers story. Mikhail (Misha) is a veteran turned firefighter with PTSD who is just existing. He's pushed away his family and works and sleeps. Amy is a sweet woman just now getting out from her family's overprotective bubble. She wants to live her life and be free now that her heart surgery has given her a new lease on life. She's Misha's new neighbor and determined to get some landscaping done on her yard, and it begins with tearing down and replacing the fence that borders both their yards. As the two start working on this together, a strong bond is formed and a friendship emerges.
I like how Amy and Misha start off as friends. Not that they weren't attracted to each other at first sight, because they were, but Misha has lots of demons and they have caused him to close himself off to people, especially beautiful, sweet people who are getting under his skin. He doesn't think he's good or good enough for her, so he friend zones her right off the bat. Of course, that friend zone has its boundaries pushed, and then finally obliterated, but not until almost the last quarter of the book. So if you like slow burn steam, you'll love Love, Always and Forever.
Although this is apparently the last of a series, I haven't read the other 2 featuring Misha's brothers, but it didn't mean I didn't enjoy the story, as it stands alone for the most part. I think I'll go back now, though, and read the first two, because Sergeant Joe, Misha's adopted dad, sounds like an interesting guy, and his advice coming from beyond the grave really got through to Misha just when he needed it most. Sergeant Joe sounds exactly like my kind of dad! And he raised a good, no, a great, man in Misha, and apparently his two other boys. Their mom, Marlene, is such a loving mom, she sounds perfect for the man Joe apparently was. The ending where she's talking to Joe is so sweet that it brought a few tears to my eyes.

I became a fan of Ms Morgan when I read the first book of her series, Sergeant Joe’s Boys. Each book has been touching, heart wrenching and wonderful. Though I have to confess, book 1 was my favorite.
This story belongs to the third “brother”. The three had had awful childhoods but were adopted and given not only a home, but also a lot of love and values by Joe and his wife Marlene.
Mikhail is currently a firefighter that takes his job as a “savior” very seriously. He has come back from war a different man. One that has seen death and the horrors of war, and suffers from PTSD. It seems all he has experienced in life is loss.
HIs new neighbor is Amy, a young woman who too has had to deal with issues her entire life. Hers being health related , and now wants to embrace life away from an overprotective family.
These two have baggage, heartaches, but also are seeing the possibilities of living life. Can they find true love? Are they willing to take the risks to achieve it?
Above all , it’s a book about reminders. One being , that health is precious and should be cherished, that love is never easy, that we as a society need to be sensitive to the sacrifice our troops make to keep us free, and that even if in the end our love is not returned, it was worth it.
My only complain is that I will miss these guys whom I frequently wanted to just hug and sit down with them. Will Jay, their friend, have a story as well? I sure hope so.

I was so happy to receive this ARC since I was gifted the first two and love this series. Like the first two this one did not disappoint. If you are afraid to read it because you have not read the first two, no worries, it can be read as a stand alone.
This is a story about two neighbors who meet and come together, both battling scars from their pasts. They are both breaking free and opening themselves up emotionally to what may be. I love the instant connection between the two and how Amy fits right in to Sergeant Joe’s family.
There are a ton of swoon moments, definitely romance, characters that you love to love, real life situations. I think what attracts me to this series is that the main hotties are NOT billionaires!! They are you average guys you know in your everyday life. Hard working and family oriented who come from crappy beginnings and are adopted by the most accepting couple you could find who change their lives and teach them how to be men.
One thing I noticed and my reason for not giving it a 5 is that sometimes the timeline seemed to be a little off. For example, one minute Amy is going on a ride on the back of Misha’s Harley and the next thing you know she is shopping for her own and had lessons. It left me feeling like I was missing something. Another thing the cover does not match the description of the character. He’s described as blond in the book.
