Searching for a lost mine in New Mexico, rugged loner Tyler Randolph encounters Daisy, an independent beauty and a gunshot victim, in the wilderness and saves her life, and a romance is sparked when they are trapped in the mountains together. Original.
Daisy was a little bit of a letdown for me. I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting, but whatever it was, I was disappointed. The hero, Tyler, was okay but Daisy was ten kinds of annoying. She had some rather odd hang-ups about freedom and thinking for herself and for some reason didn't believe Tyler would let her be herself. She kept lamenting the fact that her height would prevent her from ever getting married, and then, all of a sudden, out of the clear blue sky, she's engaged? It threw me for a loop and I started to wonder if perhaps I had missed something...apparently, something rather important...
But anyway, I still liked the story, I just had some trouble liking Daisy. Overall, it was a pretty good story.
Daisy was just an okay read for me out of this series. I expected to see more sparks between Daisy and Tyler. Tyler mainly just came off as grumpy and antisocial. He didn't really develop any depths. Although I did enjoy that he liked to cook. I can see why he's so withdrawn being in this family. They are loud, brash men who tend to fight with each other and don't seem to know how to get along. Tyler is the quiet brother out of the bunch, and decided to get away from his brothers as soon as he could. He goes so far as to live up in the mountains away from people, who he doesn't care much for in general. To be honest, I don't remember much about Daisy. I love the theme of the woman dressed as a man, and I think she was a tomboy who came out of her shell. She was hiding from some people who had it in for her. Tyler's a Randolph, so he can take care of himself and her just fine. This bunch of brothers are pretty tough customers, even the quiet one (Tyler) and the easygoing jokester (Zac).
The romance was kind of lukewarm (especially in comparison to how fiery Violet was in that sense). I guess I was hoping for too much with this story. It wasn't bad. It was actually a fairly good western romance, but this is probably my least favorite in the series, even though the bickering in Iris between Iris and Monty just about drove me up the wall. I should reread this and see if I feel differently about it now compared to when I read it several years ago. It's probably a 2 3/4 star read, but we'll knock it up to 3 stars.
It was definitely my least favorite of the series. Daisy was sort of spoiled and selfish. She had a gold crazy father who didn't listen to her so she paid it back by not listening to anyone even when common sense should have told her to listen. Not only that she didn't listen she risked others' lives in the process and only started listening when it was beneficial to her. She was incredibly vain and shallow person as well in the beginning. She wanted to be the boss more than she wanted commitment. She finally discovered that she did want to marry Tyler but in my opinion she doesn't really deserve him.

3'5 Estrellas.
Tyler Randolph always felt like the odd one out. Their cruel father had done things to him that stripped away his confidence. So, he was a loner. He'd rather cook than mess with the cattle. And now, he's been mining for gold up in the mountains alone. He had a dream, and he was going to use his own money...not his family's...to reach that dream.
Daisy Singleton's life changed so suddenly, and she didn't even realize it. Her father had been murdered, and she'd been shot. Not understanding anything, she woke up in a strange bed and cabin with two strange but extremely handsome men. Who had murdered her father? And why?
Tyler had no plans of marriage, but Daisy my just change his thoughts. On the other hand, after being told what to do and not do by her father, Daisy is ready to face life alone without a man telling her what to do.
An exciting, page-turning series that has me anxious to get to the next book.
i really didn't understand Tyler yet, only thing clear is his love for cooking.
I really enjoy Leigh Greenwood’s writing, but sometimes it leans too heavily into realism for my taste. I appreciated that the brothers weren’t perfect—they were flawed and damaged in different ways, which made them more human. However, I struggled to feel the deep love and bond between them. Even their interactions with each other's children came across as rough and emotionally distant, lacking the warmth I was hoping for.
Most of the couples were just okay for me. Aside from George and Rose, none of the pairings left a lasting impression. That said, I did appreciate that each couple faced their own challenges and earned their happily-ever-after. It was also satisfying to revisit the previous brothers and see how their lives have progressed and how their families are growing.
Jesus christ Daisy has to be the WORST FL EVER!!! I hated her so much. She is stubborn , annoying, ungrateful and just bloody unlikable! She does not seem to like anything about Tyler personality, keeps going on and on about how he "tries to control her" (literally the man just tried to keep her alive and stop her from doing the most idiotic things). She was damn awful to Zac, again, ungrateful wench. Tyler was not my favorite brother, but he was damn sweet in this book, he kept saving her, doing everything for her, trying to change for her (even if she never once said thank you or appreciated it) only for her to keep finding faults in him.
I HATED her, almost did not finish the book because of her but Tyler and Zac made me finish it.
Although the idea was great, the set up perfect for a great story, the female protagonist seriously made me mad! Shecwas ridiculously idiotic, acted like a spoiled brat and it just really got me. I don't think that characters should be perfect, not by any means, but this one was just really was unlikeable.
This was the first of the series for me to read. Don’t understand negative reviews. I loved Tyler and daisy. I look forward to reading the other books.
I loved this book. Tyler was just an amazing hero. The book was really good in the beginning and i couldn't put it down. But after Tyler goes to Albuquerque with Daisy the book isn't that great. He admitts that he loves her, but she just keeps on rejecting him thinking that he'll be like her father. I felt like she was being unfair towards him especially since he let her in. But the book was still great

Normally I don't like any kind of western novel, but this one really did interest me. I really enjoyed the storyline and it was really well written. I suggest this for anyone who likes historical romances.
I've enjoyed this series, but this book reads more like a 250 page harlequin romance, than a well written story. Hoping book 5 is more like the first three.
