Most of the stories were new to me, I was familiar with the story of the Eastland. It was an interesting read.

This is an excellent book for anyone interested in the history of passenger travel on the Great Lakes. The author does a perfect job of giving the reader just enough information to make the retelling informative and it's filled with amazing photographs. Each chapter focuses on one Great Lakes passenger ship sinking. A good read for anyone interested in maritime travel.

Another great compilation of stories from Mr. Kadar. He has a way of making the people in these stories seem more like family than strangers. You want to reach out to them.
