Classic in the field. Populism as an attempt to escape the main paradox of democracy: the fact that democracy is the most indiscriminate form of politics (mass politics) and at the same time it is the most complex model (incomprehensible for the masses).

This is such a brilliant book - a true political science classic. I had read this book as part of my dissertation research, but admit that a reread was very rewarding for my current research. Brilliant, insightful research.
