He’s a player. But she’s about to score.

Opposites really do attract* as a sassy salesgirl turns a pro athlete’s life upside down in this supercharged standalone novel of seduction from the author of Bossed.

Kelsey: My mom would tell you I’m quite the catch, but since my last boyfriend, I haven’t been dating much. Maybe it’s my rocker style or my lack of filter that intimidates the boys. So I’m pleasantly surprised when Matt Stallworth waltzes into the indie record store where I work and gives as good he gets. Turns out Matt is a professional baseball player, which should mean he’s out of my league. But if he wants to hook up with me, he’s going to have to follow my rules.

Matt: After winning my MVP award, I learned that a guy can get used to having beautiful women practically throw themselves at you everywhere you turn. But everything changes the first time I see Kelsey Martin, and something just clicks. She’s hot, snarky, and whip-smart. I’ve got to see her again. Only problem is, she sees right through all my best moves. And I’m going to have to step up my game to convince Kelsey that I’m playing for keeps.

*And sexy times ensue—for mature audiences.

This standalone novel includes an excerpt from another Loveswept title.

It’s a baseball-inspired romance. Think about it… tight pants, tight bodies, tight buns! You can obviously tell where my mind went ;)

I’ve read pretty much everything I could get my hands on from this author. Not only can he write, but his online personality is charming, funny and approachable, which comes out loud and clear in his work. To date, my favorite book of his was The Matriarch, but now… my new favorite is Scored. This book was brilliant. It was hilarious, romantic, and although I don’t personally know any baseball players, I am friends with a few professional athletes (football and basketball players), so I found this story to be pseudo-realistic.

Ever since I read Bossed, I knew that Matt and Kelsey were going to get it on. I was so excited to find out how their story would play out. I’m beyond impressed. Matt knew that he wanted Kelsey. He was even willing to admit that she was his forever. Kelsey was a bit hesitant, but Matt’s persistence, charm, and naturally good personality slowly but surely won her over. However, their happily ever after hit a huge snag. Matt might not be around for long as he was a free agent, with an offer to leave his home team for millions upon millions of cold hard cash. It’s a tempting offer, because he could do so much with that money for the charities that are close to his heart. So where does Kelsey fit in to this decision?

Again, I loved this story. Absolutely, positively loved it. This was, in my opinion, Sloane’s best work by far. I can’t wait to see what he’s going to give us next. If you haven’t had the privilege of experiencing his writing, I can’t recommend this book enough. You most definitely won’t regret it!

This series has completely flipped for me and whereas Bossed was enjoyable, Scored really didn’t float my boat: a shame because after getting to know Matt a little as a secondary character, I was looking forward to the spotlight being all his.

Sadly though, this wasn’t what I’d term memorable as the plot is one which has been done time and time again and held nothing unique: sports star meets woman, he’s smitten, she realises she likes him, they get naked, she pulls back because she’s struggling because how can this work…etc. etc. HEA. Yes Matt and Kelsey have chemistry but I needed not to be bored at 50%, I needed to like the male lead, which I really didn’t, and I didn’t need to be greeted with sex scenes that read like some blokes grotty wet dream.

Even Matt’s “secret” was wetter than an otters pocket.

2 stars purely because, amongst all the clichéd, bro talking, boob obsessed moments, I finished it.

This is the second in a series by Sloane Howell (Bossed is the first), and can be read as a stand-alone romance. It centers on Matt, a pro-baseball player, and Kelsey, a music fanatic who works at an indie record store. They meet through mutual friends and Matt has his sights set on her from...before the start. The prologue opens with him pining over Kelsey and is basically already ready to make her his wifey. Kelsey's been burned by love before, but there's not too much drama that goes on with that. In fact, there's not that much drama, period. The only tension in the book is Kelsey's reluctance to give herself over to a relationship and Matt's uncertainty with his career.

At about the 1/3 mark, I was already getting bored. Matt was cute with his interest in Kelsey, but Kelsey started to annoy me with how hot and cold she was. In addition, the sex scenes were hot, but also seemed kind of choppy, like they didn't really match the characters. This was an easy read for the evening that didn't require me to invest in the characters; I thought both the plot and characters were kind of flat, but I still read the whole thing, so there's that. I always love the sports romance trope so that helped boost it in my sights as well.

1 - "I’m sorry. I just never got into it…" Star.

DNF @ 37%

I had high hopes for this one after reading and enjoying Bossed we met the characters from this book in its predecessor as secondary characters and they were pretty likeable, and the main characters from that book are now secondary cast members in this one.

Not so much this time. I think largely due to the writing style, Bossed had the right balance of snark, banter, sexy-times and internal monologue. This one just felt like a long drawn out diary entry from a pubescent teenage boy. Matt totally lost his manliness because of it and I found it all delivered with a large dose of cheese. Kelsey and her constant denial of everything just got annoying, and all-in-all I’d lost total interest in the all of it by the point I stopped reading.

I think I am going to pop this author in the 'One Hit Wonder' box now and move on, because apart from Bossed I have now DNF’d three of his titles in a row, and seeing the glowing reviews for those books I am putting it down to writing style and reader not really getting along.

This book really appealed to me for many reasons, from the wonderful witty banter and sexy vibe it had between the main characters to the chapter opening music quotes from songs by many wonderful musicians and artists.
I really loved Matt as the "down to earth" pro baseball player and Kelsey as the "emotionally guarded" music fanatic who works at an indie record store. I especially enjoyed reading their first date scene it was awesome reading and really set the mood and tone for the rest of the story.
This is my second book by Sloane Howell (the first being Bossed) and I really enjoyed it.

Another impressive book from Sloane Howell, his books never fail to capture my attention and keep me hooked until the very last page and this one was no different, I didn’t want it to ever end but it did and it ended perfectly!

Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Ok, so no spoilers from me. Just my thoughts on this beauty.

Kelsey‘s character is independent and won’t take shit for anyone. After having her heart broken by the same type’s of men, she finds it hard to trust and it’s easy to see throughout the book. It’s so sad at times but you can understand why she feels the way she does. Seeing her interact with Matt for the first time was damn right funny, she’s super awesome.

Matt is a strong athletic man, he’s passionate and loves his family more than anything. He’s cocky and downright arrogant at times but you can’t help fall for his charm and watching Kelsey experience this is too much fun. Matt is extremely famous and has a face that everybody knows, he can’t walk down the street without being noticed and Kelsey is the exact opposite, she has a select few friends and spends her time in an indie record store doing what she loves most but they do say opposites attract, right? These characters sure did.

After meeting Matt and Kelsey in Bossed (Ethan and Jenny’s story, the first book in this series) I was extremely excited to see how their story would play out and damn, I wasn’t disappointed. Sloane Howell delivered, for sure!

The storyline was amazing, the sex was SO FREAKING HOT and the characters were amazing, it was fantastic! I love me a good Sloane Howell book!

I'm a sucker for a sports romance, this was definitely a cute one. Matt Stallworth has played professional baseball in the great state of Texas for his entire career, but now he's a free agent and he's being courted by baseball royalty; New York wants him bad. But Matt's whole life is in Texas, and worse, he's just met a girl; a girl plaguing his every thought.
You're in good hands. That dude is like the fucking Ari Gold of sports agents.
Kelsey Martin couldn't care less about sports, music is her first love, all the band T-shirts and her job at a record store sort of give that away. When Matt waltzes into her store he's impossible to ignore, and may have more in common with Kelsey than she's prepared for. He's undeniably hot and kind of charming if we're being honest, but Kelsey's been burned before and she's got no desire to feel the sting left behind from a professional player.
I fell for you, while we made Willy Wonka jokes, right here.
Bossed is the first book in this series and though we see both Ethan and Jenny in Scored, I didn't feel like skipping book 1 left me in the dark. Though, Matt and Kelsey are introduced in Bossed so I didn't get to experience their meet cute since they already knew each other, and I do love a good meet cute.
Over the past few months I've seen Kelsey seven times, received fourteen smiles, four comments containing sexual innuendo, and two fist bumps.
Matt is cocky, and sweet while Kelsey is a bit guarded, and sassy. When they finally come together the pages heat up. Their romance was sweet and fairly conflict free, there was a bit of drama but it never developed into anything explosive. Definitely check this one out if you enjoy a sweet, and easy, sports romance!

This is my first Sloane Howell Book and I will definitely check out some more from him. I really liked Matt and Kelsey.
I like Matt because despite his MLB player status he is pretty easy going and extremely humble. He really is a nice guy. I loved the whole thing with the concert tee shirts before he took Kelsey out the first time. One of the other things I really like about him is his generosity. I like seeing athletes who make a lot of money doing what they love giving to important causes. I appreciated how much he toiled with his big decision as a free agent too.
I like Kelsey a lot too. She is sweet and sassy too but keeps her heart under lock and key because of being hurt in the past.
These two have amazing chemistry and so much in common I cheered them on from the beginning.
Throw in some hot and steamy sexy times and you have yourself a really good romance. Oh and that amazing epilogue, well I just swooned over that.

I have a weakness for sports romances. Maybe it’s the sports lover in me who loves the action poured into a love story, but they are my KRYPTONITE. My ache. My addiction. MY ALL. Scored, the baseball sensation by Sloane Howell, is a ROMANCE HIT!!!

Matt Stallworth is sexy, swoony, strong, and sweet. He is a baseball god and the ultimate alpha. This hero is PERFECTION!!! I LOVED this hot baller so hard!!!

One gorgeous gal is not impressed with Matt, and couldn’t care less about his athleticism awesomeness.

Athletes are not Kelsey’s type. I plan to change that.

Kelsey Martin is beautiful, smart, and sassy. She gives as good as she gets. I ADORED and ADMIRED this spitfire of a heroine.

”You’re so beautiful, everything else in the world fades away when you’re in front of me.”

I SWOONED at the playboy-turned prince—trying to win over his princess—whose words shot stars into my eyes.

”I was jealous of your fingers, getting to touch what I wanted.”

I HEATED, my body burning from Matt’s deliciously dirty mouth. So HOT. So HEADY.

Matt Stallworth was going to be the beginning and the end of me.

I did not expect Scored to be soooo sweet!!! I did not expect to swoon so hard in Scored! I did not expect this player to be Mr. Romance! Matt, this hot and heart-wielding baseball god, is the perfect hero! Kelsey, the sassy beauty, is Matt’s match...both magical together!

”Me and you. Nothing can stop us.”

I FELT the MAGIC in Scored—this blend of smolder and sweetness—and it was one POTENT FIX. I morphed into lava, heat mixed with heart with words that made me MELT!!! I LOVED this sports meets love story!!! Scored is as sweet as it is smoldering ... a HEART-HITTING HOME RUN!!!

This is the first time I have read this author and it won’t be my last. I absolutely fell in love with Matt. He is such an honest to goodness great guy. He loves music. He has eclectic taste that spans genres. He cares about the baseball team he plays for, his teammates and the fans. So when he is up for free agency, he has an offer from the Yankees that is hard to turn down. They have outbid everyone else, including his team that he has played for since he was drafted. Matt grew up in Texas, went to college in Texas and he wanted to continue to play in Texas. His family that he is close with live in Texas. He had a big decision to make. Did I tell you he has hated the Yankees since he was a kid playing little league? He didn’t need a complication like a relationship to get in the way, but there is something about Kelsey that intrigues him and she is always on his mind.

Kelsey has always loved music. She works in a record store owned by an old stoner that used to be a hippie. I think he still is. He comes in every morning eating his donuts that are laced with pot. Kelsey loves him like a father and he is quite the character that always has some sage advice that needs to be deciphered due to his hippie like explanations. I laughed my way through his parts in the book. Kelsey met Matt through their mutual friends Ethan and Jenny. Ethan is close friends with Matt and he is also his sports agent. Jenny and Kelsey are best friends. Matt and Kelsey have flirted, but that was the extent of it until Matt decided it was time to ask her out. After some convincing, he got Ethan to tell him where Kelsey worked and Matt marched down to the record store and asked her out to a concert. Their mutual love of music made them really connect and Kelsey realized that Matt was a really good guy and not just some jock. That’s where I am going to leave it. You have to read the book to find out how the story progresses.

I enjoyed Kelsey and Matt's journey. Their witty banter, Matt’s sweet but very alpha side, Kelsey’s snarky responses. Their chemistry was off the charts and the secondary characters added a great vibe to the book. There were bumps in the road that made me want to shake the characters. I loved that each chapter started with a quote from a song; I would stop and play the song before I would read the next chapter. I also love music so this was right up my alley.

I highly recommend this funny, sweet and smoking hot sports romance.

After reading Bossed, I was anxious to get my hands on Scored and Matt's story. Let me first start off by saying that, while this is the second book in Howell's sports series, it can be read as a complete standalone so reading Bossed first is not necessary. However, I do recommend it because there is some backstory to the lead characters' relationship that helps paint a better picture for readers. But again, not necessary at all. With that out of the way.....

I loved Matt's character! He's the total opposite of what you expect from a professional athlete. He's humble, down-to-earth, charitable, sweet, kind-hearted, romantic and completely unselfish. Of course those fabulous traits do accompany a gorgeous body, top-notch talent and a sexiness that oozes from him in spades (natch). Matt was a welcome change from your typical alpha athlete. Don't get me wrong, he is most definitely an a-plus alpha but his gentle nature hides the beast underneath. He definitely makes for a great book boyfriend! Kelsey is your fun-loving, kooky, girl-next-door who gives as good as she gets. She's snarky, loyal and kind but she's also gun-shy when it comes to love, afraid of being hurt based on past experiences. Together, Matt and Kelsey have fabulous chemistry and their bedroom scenes are super hot. There were times that Kelsey grated on my nerves but once she finally gave in to her feelings for Matt, her character's annoying parts leveled out and I grew to like her.

The story itself is the typical, formulaic sports romance but I really feel like Matt's character elevated it which was a pleasant and welcome surprise. Add in difficult contract negotiations, secrets and fun, witty banter between all of the characters and you have an enjoyable and entertaining read.

Cheeseburgers

It is rare for a romantic read that makes me giggle and have all the other delicious "feels" at the same time but that's the beauty and charm of a romance written by the incomparable Sloane Howell. I particularly enjoy the slightly goofy, super witty, oh so sexy Dominant Alpha male protagonist that he writes in his romances. It is in his skill at writing this endearing character that you can feel the authenticity of emotions portrayed by this character and notice that there may be a bit of the author's own person used in the crafting further adding to the believability.
"Scored" was simply the telling of a "love" story. It was scorchingly hot and there was great skill in its unfolding. The plot line may not have been scintillating but it takes a certain genius at knowing which buttons to push with the ardent romance reader that keeps their interest and has them entertained throughout.
Matt Stallworth is that beautiful creature known to womanhood as a professional baseball player. Now just think about this male beauty for a minute or maybe longer 😊. He is tall well over 6' and then those powerful forearms...and hands and chiseled abs oh and the equipment!!! Along with his physical beauty is his love of music and goofy personality. He is also quick witted with flirty banter and not afraid "to go there" with his quips.
All of this blessed male feels an inner tug toward Kelsey Martin. She is a singular beauty with honey colored eyes and a body that pleases his eye. She is a rocker chick with a distinct style all her own. She knows her mind and guards her heart. She has wit and a terrific sense of humor. Most of all, athletes are just not her type. She has always fallen for the lead singer of some up and coming band with her heart in tatters after he has taken his leave.
Their story begins with all the angst, uncertainty and insecurity that a first real date involves. As a reader we are caught up in the tale from this point forward. In the back of our minds we know that this is our favorite type of book, the typical romance. We can guess at the ending yet, we are still taken in by both characters and their drama.
Oh and the sex..the hot chemistry, the holding back, the exquisite tension of will they? When will they? How will they?
Ohhh and how will it feel for her? For him? How does it feel for a man? What really is his inner dialogue? Swoon worthy answers to be had...
Get ready to be surprised at how this author handles these questions and in the answering you are swept away to another place as we always hope our romantic reads will do for us. They remind us when we ourselves were once at this place and even have us hold on to the hope that we will go there again. And for the uninitiated, will this place be where I may hope to go?
I really need to add that the author kicks up the action a notch surprising us with a little of that irresistible dirtiness, dirty talk, dirty boy and dirty, dirty girl.
Now granted the author is not diving deep into the mind, psyche and soul of a super complicated hero or heroine. The story is what it is. For me it is delicious like a cheeseburger is delicious. Tasty, meaty, All-American and eaten lustily sometimes quickly but in the end, it is oh so satisfying.
Forgive me my easy metaphor, but this is what you can expect from this book... a well-written, oh so sexy a little dirty romance to take you away. There is a real craft to this type of read and because this book is so well crafted I choose the 5 star rating. That and it is by the irrepressible Mr. Howell and even I can't take rating this book more seriously than eating a cheeseburger. Although from what I'm told some people take their handcrafted cheeseburgers very seriously.
By whatever measure, this is worth the tasting and digging in...I mean it's worth the one click. One thing for certain is you won't be left hungry 😁.

4 Totally Hot Scored Stars!

**ARC Provided by Netgalley for an honest review**

Scored is the second book I’ve read by Sloane Howell and I absolutely loved it! We first met Kelsey and Matt in Bossed during Jenny and Ethan’s story. Kelsey is Jenny’s best-friend would takes no crap from anyone and says what’s on her mine and Matt is Ethan’s best-friend and number one client.

Matt is a pro baseball player who has a crush on Kelsey and love her straight forward, smart ass ways. Kelsey has been hurt in the past and doesn’t want to start a relationship with Matt even thou she is attracted to Matt, because doesn’t want things to get odd between her Matt due to Jenny and Ethan’s upcoming wedding. Kelsey works full time at a record store and also doesn’t think she will be able to fit into Matt’s world so she tries her best to keep him at arm’s length by just flirting. However little does Matt and Kelsey know that they have lot in common and can’t fight the chemistry and attraction that they both feel.

So if you’re looking for a funny, hot read with a super-hot baseball player and a wise ass witty chick then you may just want to pick up this book. I do however recommend reading Bossed first, even thought this book can be read as a standalone, you really need to get Matt and Kelsey’s back story. Oh and if you have already read Bossed and want to know what Jenny and Ethan have been up then you need to read this book. They make regular appearances in Scored.

Move over Ethan Mason, Matt Stallworth is in the house!

This is the second book in this series by Mr Howell, and can be read as a stand alone (however you will want to read about Jenny and Ethan).

Kelsey and Matt really are a case of opposites attract. It is full of witty banter, instattraction and fun. It was a very sweet and sexy story - oh, the sexual tension between them could be cut with a knife *fanning myself*.

I loved that they didn't just fall in bed with each other right from the get go. It is not really a slow burn, but it is not all wham bam either. Their story takes time to grow into something more.

I love the interactions between Matt and Ethan, as well as Kelsey and Jenny. True friendships.

Scored is a quick, sexy read, and now I am waiting to see what Mr Howell brings us next.

4.5 SMOOCHES!

This is my second time reading Sloane Howell’s work, and I am once again impressed. I read the predecessor to this book, Bossed, earlier this year and absolutely loved it. Mr. Howell's writing captivated me in that book, and I've been looking forward to reading Scored since I finished Bossed. It was worth the wait.

Howell created likeable, relatable characters in professional baseball player, Matt Stallworth, and record store employee/rocker chick, Kelsey Martin, and I was rooting for them from the start. Sloane did a fantastic job pulling the reader into Matt’s head, and I was thoroughly amused by that insight into this character. I genuinely liked Matt. He was confident without being an overly cocky jock, and he was an all-around good guy who was down-to-earth, romantic and had it bad for Kelsey.

Kelsey was not into sports—or athletes, especially professional ones. She was into music, and her taste in men definitely reflected that. Having been burnt a few times in her past by bad-boy rockers, she didn’t trust easily. She was definitely attracted to Matt, but she struggled at first to see past his wealth, fame and good looks. Matt was very patient and seemed to know how to handle her, though. I loved Matt and Kelsey! They were so sweet together, their back-and-forth banter was witty and hilarious, and the chemistry between them positively sizzled.

I really enjoyed Scored! An incredibly sexy but still sweet romance, full of as much heart as there was humor came together through Howell’s excellent writing into a truly entertaining romantic comedy with a sports spin. Scored by Sloane Howell gets four-and-a-half smooches from me!

Scored by Sloane Howell was sexy and fun to read. Lots of chemistry and steamy scenes with great banter between the characters. Kelsey and Matt met through mutual friends. They have chemistry and have been flirting on and off for a while. But Matt is ready for more with Kelsey.

Kelsey has not dated in a while, but when Matt shows interest in her, she takes notice. I liked Kelsey, she was smart, feisty and gave as good as she got, but she could be indecisive at times. But after being hurt in the past, she learned to guard her heart.

Matt Stallworth is professional baseball player. He is loved on and off the field. But after meeting Kelsey, she seems to take a permanent space in brain. Something about her calls to him and he decides he wants her, now he just has to convince her to play along! I loved Matt! He was strong, cocky and very charming!

Matt and Kelsey have good chemistry, though they may be a bit of the opposites attracts sorts, they meshed well. This was a good sports romance about opposites who are attracted to each other. It was fun seeing Matt and Kelsey’s relationship develop, even if she frustrated me at times. But you could understand why she was so guarded. It was fun to see Matt break down her walls.

I liked the characters and the story flowed well. The story was easy to read and was full of chemistry. No crazy drama, just two people finding their way with each other.

Happy reading!

This book was nothing short of perfection. I loved the music quotes at the beginning of each chapter and i loved the sign off sentence at the end of each chapter! The camaraderie between all the characters just had me laughing out loud.. the banter between Ethan and Matt, Matt and Kelsey, Kelsey and Jenny just worked so well !! I loved each and every character they all had their own special moments that I loved them for.. I loved Kelsey's brain to mouth malfunctions, I loved Matt's 'realness' and soft side... but most of all i loved the off the charts hotness between these two!! After reading one of Sloane's novellas previously, with little storyline just pure hot sex, I wasn't sure what to expect... but this was a solid 5* read for me with a gripping story that i couldnt put down

Received an ARC for my fair review for netgalley. Well this one really didn't do it for me. The hot and cold from Kelsey annoyed me, make up your mind. I understand that she had bad previous experiences, but come on, make a decision and stick with it. I don't understand what Matt really saw in her, and then his decision to decide which team he was going to, again make a decision, write a list if you have to. I just was not crazy about it, it actually bored me, after a couple of chapters.

Absolutely loved this book !!! Sweet, swoony romance with some heat that will have you smiling from ear to ear.

You know that cartoon character that gets hit and then you are all dizzy and see stars and shit but in a good way. That is Matthew Stallworth for me.

I'm taking huge lady boner. I loved his cockiness at times, his sweetness and chivalrous ways. Yeah he is definitely going on my book boyfriend list.

Kelsey she was down to earth, witty and I could very easily relate to her.

I absolutely loved this storyline, the chemistry, the relationship, the banter. Even the uncertainty each of them had was easily relatable.

This is a definite must read for those that love a good romance that hits you in all the right spots.

Sloane Howell writes uber-sexy romances with strong heroines, smoking-hot love scenes, laugh-out-loud banter and swoony heroes, and he’s hit it out of the park with Scored. Matt Stallworth is an All-Star professional baseball player, who is smitten when he meets Kelsey Martin. She is beautiful, interesting and laid-back with a rocker-chic vibe, and she knows absolutely nothing about baseball. She’s the opposite of most of the women Matt has been with, which makes Kelsey leery of his intentions. She assumes they have little in common and wonders why he would be interested in her, notwithstanding the obvious sexual chemistry swirling between them.

Matt pursues Kelsey, and he’s adorable, sexy and utterly endearing. He woos her with his charm and authenticity and seduces her with his wicked mouth. Their relationship develops at the perfect pace as both grapple with the increasing sexual tension mixed with their rapidly escalating feelings, and they are fun to watch as they fall head over heels in love. Scored is brimming with whip-smart humor, fiery interludes and sigh-worthy moments, and it’s a home run of a romance.

This was a super light and easy story but really lacked in the excitement department, and I lost count of the number of times I rolled my eyes. It was quick (maybe because I found myself skimming the pages on more than one occasion) and fun, at times, but just didn't hit the spot for me.

I really enjoyed Bossed, so had high hopes for this one, but unfortunately Scored was really lacking and I struggled. I kept going, hoping it would pick up, but it just didn't...

I love a good steamy scene as much as the next person but these were just far too over the top and all the name calling just didn't work for me!!

The whole story was just a little bit predictable for me! There were a few humorous moments, and I enjoyed seeing the secondary characters from Bossed again, so that helped!!

Wish I could give it more!

I’ve been looking forward to finally reading one of Sloane’s books for a long time. I received this book on netgalley, and I’m glad I did.
I love the style of writing. I love the characters. Sloane was able to keep my attention throughout the entire book. I really wish there was more of them! 😍 looks like i found a new author to binge read!

Another fab read written by Sloane Howell!
Sloanes smashes it once more by writing a book that just draws you right in and is easy to read!
This is the story Matt and Kelsey who are best friends of the main charcters of Sloanes previous book Bossed.
Matt is a professional baseball player who cant get Kelsey out his head and vows to get to know her better.. love the banter between these 2.. the way she calls him by his surname all the time.. the way she doesnt throw herself on him like his fans do.. until Matt makes a mistake and its up to Kelsey to decide whether she can forgive him or not!
Fab love story with lots of hot scenes thrown in! Def recommend as a great easy romance book.

This one was just an ok read for me which is sad because I was really looking forward to Matt's story. It was light, easy, and definitely steamy. Maybe a little too steamy. The steam seemed to interfere with the story really developing. For me the story never had that moment where you knew these two were meant for each other and would make it. Matt and Kelsey are both great characters and I would have liked to have seen their story be a little more dramatic. This really isn't a bad story I was just hoping for a little more.
