They come to the Training House to become immersed in the most powerful and extreme form of absolute slavehood. It is only in this formal environment, and under the strict rules of their slave contracts, that their immense yearnings can be satisfied. Or can they?
Aimée arrives with a pure slave’s heart, never expecting to find more than the fulfillment of a frightening and necessary sexual journey. Christopher has returned, as he always does. The baddest of bad slaves, he never truly expects to find anything beyond a temporary release. And then there’s the Master… Master Damon owns the Training House. His is a life of carefully followed rules, the extremes of deviant and sensual creativity, and the heavy weight of responsibility. The Training House is a dreamworld where needs are denied and met at a Master’s whims. But what happens when these rigid roles become fluid, and love is suddenly part of the game? Anyone could win—or everyone could lose it all.

First and foremost I want to stipulate that this book is not for the faint of heart. No one should read this book UNLESS YOU CAN KEEP AN UNOBJECTIVE, NONSTERIOTYPE, AND NONJUDGMENTAL VIEW OF THE characters in this book. Because in my opinion they do represent in some round about ways situations in which people who practice this lifestyle do infact live their life.
I attended the NOLA 2019 and ha the pleasure of meeting this author who felt that a warning needed to come with this book. I myself found it to be beautifully written and was completely engrossed in the story of how three souls become intertwined, trying to determine where each fits.
I have always said that if one can go to an opera and appreciate it's intrinsicity and beauty but you still won't go again with then you have seen what many can't. I hope you will see beyond any stigmas when you read this book.
I am only half way through the second book and I doubt that I will ever finish the set. I find it completely tedious and boring. It doesn’t dismay or upset me; it does absolutely nothing. By the author’s short bio it would seem she lectures on BDSM so does she actually have personal knowledge of the master/slave dynamic? I find it hard to believe that there are that many 24/7 slaves. It would put a person at great risk of dangerous physical abuse. The contracts would have no standing in a court of law but it is fine to say it can be called off by either party at any time. If a slave is kept locked up and has no access to the outside world how would s/he leave if the master refused to let them go. If you want to read an emotionally captivating series read Anne Rice’s Sleeping Beauty trilogy or Kitty Thomas’ Pleasure House series. In both things happen, it is not just a tedious repetition of inner dialogues. If I ever finish it I may update this but I am very tempted to delete it because I do find it very boring.
My whole body was tense nearly the entirely of this series. I don't know how else to explain it. It had my attention from the first page to the last. I don't think I've read anything so intensely, I felt like a force of nature as I scrolled, not wanting to part with it but needing to know how it ended. Admittedly, I can't say that everything was relatable, but the things I could relate to rocked my insides a bit loose. These books are beautifully written, and may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I know that everyone could learn something from the story.
I've marked this finished although I'm only half way through the 3 book set .... I have filed them on my 'Put It Aside For Now' shelf .... not because it isn't excellent writing .... it is ... but Dark ... think dark like Anne Rice's Beauty series or Pauline Reage's Story of O ... good in small doses over time.
This book wasn’t what i thought it would be. I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would.
Aimee just annoyed me with her endless inner rambling monologue. She didn’t let go. I enjoyed Christopher story. He was an interesting character and I liked his attitude. The third part had some great scene and some just didn’t work for me.
I really like Eden Bradley's work. HAve enjoyed all the stories I have read. Was not sure about The Training House. It was brutal it was perverse it was beautiful. Eden writes about love in all its many forms. Ultimately that's all that really matters.
No words for how much I love this series. Hard core and want more. A Slave and Master relationship like no other. Add a bad Boy to the mix and it is the perfect storyline if you enjoy the extreme. I can't recommend this enough if you like erotica.
This is a real dark erotic romance and definitely not for the faint of heart. It is brutal, sadistic, sensual, complex and unapologetic in its frankness. The main characters, Damon, Christopher and Aimee, are all flawed, tortured and compelling. They each have to recognize what they are trying to escape from through their role as either Master or slave. Each has their own epiphany that is hard won and emotionally life altering. In the end acceptance of who they truly are brings a peace that will guide them into the love they have for one another.
