Written in 1987 and it shows. Very dated dialog and predictable storyline. The ending was hysterical only in that I can't ever see it actually happening.
new Audio book from 2020 read by Eva Kaminsky who did a good job.
I am not a romance novel fan anymore. I used to be back in the day but got fed up with all the goo and drama, but I thought I would give this a chance when I saw the new audio book at my library.
Well, it was hard for me to get through it and I did skip some parts towards the end.
Now I know why I'm not a fan of romance novels anymore.
I love all of Heather Graham's books especially Crewe Of Hunters and the ones staged in New York, I lived in NY for several years and really enjoyed visiting places I actually visited. GREAT Books....
Didn’t realize this was a Harlequin romance when I started it. Figured it out after the female was repeatedly put in her place by the males and finally checked. Ugh. Reminded me why I never read these types of romances. Too sexist.
The tranquil waters of a Bahamian paradise turn dark and treacherous when Amanda is ruthlessly abducted. Sean, a Miami undercover cop, witnessed the crime and throws himself into danger, pretending he’s Amanda’s lover. It’s a perilous game, but Amanda knows there’s no one to pay her captors, and she finds it’s easy to play along with her irresistible mystery man. This is the first book I have read by this author. The plot was good but there was a little too much romance in it for me. I will try a couple more of this author though.
