Meh. I've read other Seeder stories, so I know the background. But this felt...dull. Sure, the characters were facing problems on a new scale, even for Seeders, but I just never felt and real threat. Every time they learned something, it eliminated the previous "threat" and offered a new one, which was supplanted in turn by the next level. And the final "resolution" felt far too neat and convenient.

Another reasonable entry in this series, but I'm beginning to find the whole concept getting rather overblown in its scale and the repetition of some of the concepts and the continuing weaknesses in the limited range of characterisations.
While I have had my fill of every alien is a bad guy, savage killer type sci-fi that seems to be prevalent at the moment. There does need to be some sort of conflict along the way, and while I appreciated the author's approach of avoiding this literary trope at the start after nine volumes for no conflict of any kind to have occurred does in its own way get a little waring.
On the positive side, it is very much that old-style humungous style of space opera I've always enjoyed so will likely stay with it if any future volumes are published.

Not a bad installment in the series, though I do wonder why they didn't try to stop the new aliens from ruining human worlds, but such is how the story goes I guess. Anyway, decent story, looking forward to the next one.
