A fun story with a real plot, good intentions, and a surprise ending.

This is the first book in this series that I've read. I didn't realize that Franklin is also a TV series. Which came first -- the books or the TV program?

Franklin the turtle thought his friend was moving away so he helps put together a surprise party for her. But instead of listening to others when they tried to speak to him he continued on and the surprise was on him in the end. Franklin books are some of our favorite to read.

Franklin's Surprise (Kids Can Read)
by Sharon Jennings
The great story for interest reading closely follows tv show. The book is a connective text for young readers.
