About the author

William "Bill" Finger was an American comic strip and comic book writer best known as the uncredited co-creator, with Bob Kane, of the DC Comics character Batman, as well as the co-architect of the series' development. In later years, Kane acknowledged Finger as "a contributing force" in the character's creation. Comics historian Ron Goulart, in Comic Book Encyclopedia, refers to Batman as the "creation of artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger", and a DC Comics press release in 2007 about colleague Jerry Robinson states that in 1939, "Kane, along with writer Bill Finger, had just created Batman for [DC predecessor] National Comics".

Film and television credits include scripting The Green Slime (1969), Track of the Moon Beast (1976), and three episodes of 77 Sunset Strip.

The Blue Bowman is a nice trick to make Batman fight GA without having to turn the latter into a bad guy.

I tend to have a-lot of fondness for these old goofy comics, but this one was an outright dog.

First using a ‘self-inflating balloon’ to scare the criminals! Was there such a thing as a self-inflating balloon back then?! She keeps this in her Crime Compact, next to her Bat-Rope which she will use to lasso criminals.

Only true historians only will enjoy this one. 2 stars

Placeholder for Bat Silver Age Omni v3, Detective #283-306 & Batman #135-49

Much as I enjoy zany Silver Age Batman & Batwoman in particular, the formula is a bit fraying by this volume, and in some ways this volume is almost as boring as the last couple Golden Age Bat omnis, but the debuts of the first Batgirl, the second Clayface, & Polkadot Man & more frequent Superman cameos liven up things
