Here's the Friends Forever I've been waiting for! I can't believe they really took 38 issues to do this, and they did Rarity and Trixie before they did Celestia and Luna!

My only complaint about this is that he had them competing in the Sister Hooves Social, which is probably one of the biggest cliché premises for Celestia and Luna. I know as a writer for the comics, he's not allowed to read fanfiction, but still.

On the other hand, he really did pretty well with it, so I will give him props for that.

It's really great to see (as we also got a glimpse of in Slice of Life,) that as much as Celestia and Luna love each other as sisters, they still have their squabbles, both as a result of their highly competitive natures and polar opposite personalities.

I also like that there were extenuating circumstances at play, emphasizing that they wouldn't normally act this way. The stress from taking on too much work, lack of sleep, and the spice in the berries were factors, making things that normally wouldn't bother them push their patience with each other to the breaking point.

My favorite part was when they switched teammates for the six-legged race and Sweetie Belle is just strapped to Celestia's side because Celestia's so damned tall and Sweetie is tiny compared to her. I mean, they'd probably have to do the same thing because Rarity's still way shorter than Celestia, but that was just too much.

So, I'm a little behind on Friends Forever, by like, ten issues, but I think this one's definitely my favorite. I don't know if Andy Price has written for the comic before, but he did a great job with this one.
