After a day of school, it appears as though the bus has gone missing. This is surely a task for the PJ Masks. Using their above-average skills, the PJ Masks are able to locate the bus, stolen by none other than Night Ninja. Who else would want to use this massive vehicle for his own Ninja-mobile? After a battle that sees Gekko lose his own set of wheels for a time, the PJ Masks are able to return the bus back to the school, just in time for it to be used. Neo has been on a PJ Masks binge this weekend, learning so much about them while dazzling me with his reading abilities. I can hope that he’ll find more reading to keep him occupied next weekend, which is sure to be filled with new book exploration!
I have no idea who or what the PJ Masks are but this is the book the kindergartner wanted from her Scholastic book order and I'm a big proponent of letting kids pick their own books so here we are. Probably would have been better for me if I know who these kids are or why the Night Ninjas (the bad guys) would want to steal the school bus in order to paint it blue. Oh well, she was entertained.
An easy reader book for fans of PJ Masks. The school bus is stolen by Night Ninja and the PJ Masks must stop him from converting it into his own super-vehicle. Catboy, Owlette, and Gekko learn about teamwork.
Kids who love PJ Masks will love this book for the pictures. The sentences are simple for beginning readers, but the story does not make sense unless you’ve seen the episode it is based on.
Not a cohesive story. Not the best word choices for a beginning reader who only knows letter sounds and a few sight words. And this parent was not delighted to find two unexpected pages of stickers in the back of the book. All around, this book is not what I was hoping for, but my daughter is delighted by anything PJ Masks.
While still not wonderful, at least this one works as an early reader. The illustrations were generally accurate to the text in the scenes, and the story made sense on its own. I especially liked Night Ninja's weaponry, even if his basic evil scheme made little or no sense. Painting a school bus a darker color doesn't exactly make it a stealth vehicle, and it has serious limits as a mobile villainous lair. Still, this was a decent story, and kids who have seen the television show would probably like this book. Ones who haven't might not be as interested, but the idea of superheroes roughly the same age as the reader might be a plus.
A good book based on an episode of PJ Masks. This is a Level One book. It has simple sentence structure and a very basic storyline so it is easy to understand.
I liked the lesson at the end, that everyone needs help sometimes.
Overall, good book especially for beginning readers who are fans of the show.
