Kang-jun, a normal guy struggling through life's bad hand was given the opportunity to travel to an alternate dimension in his sleep. Here he fights for resources and grows stronger in his battle as a sovereign.
The first few arcs were quite interesting. Overall this was well translated and pretty easy to read. Unfortunately, I started getting bored about 3/4 of the way through. I missed the harem tag (rolls eyes) that's one aspect of wish fulfillment stories I try to avoid. Thankfully it wasn't as painful as some I've encountered and was more of a cause for eye rolling ("oh, she's pretty I bet she'll join him!")
Cool concept, mediocre execution, the idea behind the book is the protagonist plays RPG style game in the dream, and linking the gains up their with reality.
The idea behind the book is fun but the writing itself is lacking and generic. No character building for the protagonist, also he powers up too fast, there is never a struggle. The good part was it is short at only 179 chapters, but I still dropped it 2/3rd of the way as it got too boring only coming back after months to complete the book.
There are multiple shifts in tone. The first 50 or so chapters are great, but from then on, the quality cycles up and down for the rest of the novel.
But I found the end very satisfying, which is rare for these types of novels. It doesn't feel rushed or come out of nowhere or leave a bunch of unresolved plot threads. It felt like a proper payoff.
It was worth my time, and I'm glad that I stuck with it through the dips in quality to reach the ending.
