I wanted a comfort read for this unsettled time and I decided to reread The Raven Cycle. I looked for the 4 book bundle on Goodreads, but could only find this 3 piece set. Oh, well, I reread them all starting from the The Raven Boys to The Raven King and loved it all over again. The first time I heard of these books was on joining Goodreads in 2017. Everyone was gaga over them, so I was eager to find out what all the hullabaloo was about. From the first sentence I was hooked.

I love this YA series. It is so sweet, in its message of how important friendship and family is. It is also fun, in its love of magic and possibilities. The first time I didn't read it, I listened to it. This went a long way towards making me fall in love with the books. They are set in Henrietta, Virginia, a fictional small town with a soft southern accent and the young man who narrated the books was perfect. When he said his name was "Gansey" to Blue Sargent when she and her Aunt Neeve are recording the next year's dead off the ley line, I fell in love. Don't ask. It's complicated. Just know if you love a good, long YA read (there are 4 books) and enjoy fantasy, you will enjoy this series.

idk if these series is objectively good i just know that these were the last books i read in my middle school reading career and it made an impact in my neuron structure
