On a warm, windy day Mouse discovers splashing frogs and fluttering birds in this beautiful Pre-Level 1 Ready-to-Read book about spring!
One bright, sunny day Mouse and Momma head outside to play. The wind blows in something feathery and plump—a bird; and something wiggly and pink—a worm; and something green, that hops and leaps—a frog. But before it’s time to go back inside, Mouse finds something that’s soft and new with petals…the prettiest flower he’s ever seen! Could it mean spring is finally here?
Young readers are sure to enjoy Lauren Thompson’s simple, energetic text and Buket Erdogan’s sweet, playful illustrations as they learn to recognize words and begin to read on their very own!
The words are too difficult for "pre-level 1" readers.
This is a less wordy version of Mouse's First Spring. Mouse's First Spring makes a great question and answer storytime book, but I wouldn't recommend Mouse Loves Spring.
Bookaday #38. Classified as a pre level one book with simple words, but not really. No illustration clues for words like flittery or squiggly. More just a predictable shared reading with large font size and cute pics.
The story itself is alright, if read by a proficient reader, but this book had way too many long or difficult words for a Pre-level 1 book; feathery, slimy, petally? Also, onomatopoeia like whoosh, smooch, and whatever "ooch" is.
Very sweet story where a momma mouse teaches her little one about his world around him. If you have a young reader this has repeated words so it will help your child’s self esteem to be able to read it.
Cute little book - teaches lots of "description" words, like "hoppy" and "squiggly," while also being sort of a guessing game. The repetition of "WHOOSH" could also be fun for a read-together book.
In Lauren Thompson Mouse Series another fun classic version for little ones all about Items from Spring- flower, a worm, a bird, the wind, frog, butterfly!
In the springtime with momma, Mouse finds signs of spring. The book utilizes repetition, questioning, adjectives, and onomatopoeia, so there are multiple directions you could take with it.
A preschool and up easy reader about mouse and his mom enjoying a spring day where they meet spring things that then get blown away by the spring. Cute ending.
This is cute, but is just about the same story as Mouse's first spring so if you were hoping for a new story about mouse and spring you will be disappointed.
