I gave this book a five star rating because I love star wars and its exsacly what its sopposed to be. My favrite part is when Qui-Gon Jinn fights Darth Maul.

The text isn't exactly compelling, but it's a useful book in that it tells the story and the pictures are nice. If you're a fan of the movie, or perhaps Star Wars in general, it might make a good souvenir. The story incidentally reveals a couple of interesting things -- where C3PO originated and how Obi-Wan Kenobi came to be Annakin Skywalker's teacher. I'd most accurately give it 2.5 stars, but since that's not an option ...
I did find quite a few mistakes in this book, but it was a good read.
I read the book in under 1 hour as there is only 64 pages and most of the space is used up by pictures from the film, so there wasn't all that much to read.
I think a bit was skipped, as Anakin and R2-D2 are in space, they're ship going haywire, and then Padme's suddenly being awarded and Anakin's home safely. This is very confusing.
This was probably the first sw book that I've ever read. It tells the most important aspects of the story, Phantom menace, supported by great illustrations. The pictures are mainly from the movie. The book isn't a pure novelization. If you are interested in a quick read and a combination of text+pictures, this book is great for you. 5/10
