This book is a STEAMY Stand Alone with an HEA. It contains a FREE Dragons Take a Princess 7 Book Series
When memory fails you, how much trust can you put in a stranger?
The scariest part of waking up was not that she was in a crypt – it was the fact that the woman couldn’t remember anything, including why she is there. Getting out of the City of the Dead is only her first challenge. When she stumbles upon a cold stranger, she feels like things might change, although she couldn’t say if it will be for better or worse. She is left to believe that the only reason he stays with her is out of morbid curiosity.
Worse still, everywhere they go they encounter people who have the same vibe as the stranger. The only positive thing about the encounters is the mention of Cyprian, and it triggers memories that hint toward her life before death. But each of these encounters also has an ominous news, and the stranger won’t even let them use his name in front of her. Just how much is he hiding and why?
What is it that he knows about her, and why is he trying to take her away from the people? And just what does the stranger mean to her?
WARNING: This is a stand alone romance with an HEA. This ebook contains mature themes and language, intended for 18+ readers only.
Lisa Daniels is a (young) retired school teacher who resides in Miami. After five years of teaching, Lisa Daniels found that it wasn’t quite the world that she wanted to inhabit. After leaving her position, she moved to Miami. She hasn’t regretted it.
In her worlds, Lisa Daniels creates characters that go beyond the usual narrative. While they definitively include romance, Lisa Daniels strives to make the worlds more real with characters that are more than just cardboard cutouts of the genre. All of the main characters (and many of the secondary ones) have a rich history that span much longer than the stories themselves. This makes it easy to weave the stories together so that you can see characters you met in previous tales and see how they have managed since.
The Dragons of Letera is her first standalone series. Letera is a world teaming with romance, action, and stories – it is a world that Lisa Daniels loves to explore with her readers, one character at a time.
Annora and Elian were getting married. Her friends were walking down the road with them, teasing each other as well as discussing other issues, when a man walked out of the woods in front of them. He said he knew why Bree could not locate Phelan who was helping Taja as she struggled to give birth. Jaylon, a half-pixie, invited them back to the castle so he could update them on his news.
A young woman dressed in burial garb woke in a catacomb, not sure where she was. In fact, she did not even know WHO she was! But she felt an urgency to get out of there, and she ran. She blocked out the desperate voices surrounding her, her mind telling her to wait, but her gut telling her to move and get away. She had been dead, but the voices brought her back to do something. She knew they were not kind. Escape was the only option!
As Sir Gwavas looked over plans, Cyprian jumped up and ran from the room. Noely, Karensa, and Heath followed as everyone looked confused. Outside, Heath shifted to his ice dragon form, and carrying Karensa and Noely, followed Cyprian into the sky. There were so many different things going on! Would all these events come together? Or was something dire beginning?
This book was like a reunion for the reader, with all the previous characters gathered together. I loved this book, as I have loved the others in this series. The characters were developed perfectly. Rather than just describing their characteristics, the author continued to show the reader through their actions what they were like and enabled the reader to really connect with them. The reader is already familiar with most of them. There was tension, danger, threatened violence, but also ample amounts of love, kindness, gentleness, nurturing and friendship. The story line was wonderful, with surprises, twists and turns; and the action-packed tale moved at a good pace, keeping the reader fully engaged. I highly recommend this exciting book!
I really wanted to like this because it was about Hisa. The book had every one of the previous pairs involved along with a new pairing of Phelan/Taja who were never mentioned in any of the other 7 books. I felt that there was just so much only hinted at, like the complete back story of Hisa/Summer, and it was never really explained why did Cyprian and Anani reacted the way they did to Summer. There was just too much packed into the story and so much left out, I just felt dissatisfied when I finished.
Loved this book. Finally la conclusion without a cliffhanger. This was a great series. Plan on reading it again book by book to the conclusion. It is exciting, suspenseful, fun and so much more. I was happy to see everyone in this book. It made it great and puts the whole series into perspective. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Eighth book in an intense paranormal series. There are far more than just dragons in this series. This one left me with mixed feelings on how it ended, both sad and happy. It brings all the characters from the previous stories together. So make sure to read in order, otherwise I don't see anyone being able to follow all that happens.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book.
I'm kind of sad to see this series end. Fantastic book with a great end to the series! Carrington aka Hisa was a wonderful character to end the series with. Summer was a likeable character just as Annora and Bree were and I loved seeing all the characters again and totally enjoyed the entire series
