Daisy has abandoned (friend)ship after the apocalyptic falling out from last issue, so McGraw (whose own reputation is in shambles) takes it upon himself to mend things.
(Could not find any likable quotes) As much as I like these characters, it's getting harder and harder to get involved in the story. Where great chemistry and witty dialogue reigned supreme has now become a mishmash of cameo characters from issues past, buildup scenes that get resolved quickly, and personality traits I haven't seen for a while now. Where is Esther's vortex of chaos? Susan's take charge attitude? Daisy's Girl Scout preparedness? I miss these traits and while I get that the characters are growing up and maybe apart, it still hurts that the story has to suffer for it.
I'm still loving this series. The characters are very like-able, the situations are a great mixture of comedy, drama, and friendship, and the artwork is great. I love the colors and how the characters are drawn.
Let me reiterate my opening statement of my last review - "Strange things happen in love. Bumps in the road. BUT FRIENDSHIP ALWAYS SURVIVES!" Hear your own words Daisy, it's time to vote Ingrid off the island!
"Susan Ptolemy is a powerful and complicated woman. I'm there for when she perceives the world as a terrible red mist. She's there for when I jigsaw my fingers off."
A good step towards making things right between the trio, and then a dramatic cliffhanger. Wonderful! I did love seeing Daisy’s attempts to fix things, but McGraw’s Spanish battle was a bit over the top.
