Could have spoilers, I tried to write it so it wouldn’t. However, it could give away to much. Sorry.
I enjoyed this shorter book. It kept my attention and I enjoyed the characters. It’s the perfect length for the train ride from work or on a plane. I didn’t find it overly naughty at all. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because, the reason David has for breaking off the relationship. He didn’t know his new mother in-law to know her intentions with his father. Especially, had no reason to feel Jenika was after his money.
I did like how at the end, the Author brings us back and tells us how there lives turn out.

This is a short read about Jenika and David ,,,, these 2 have been seeing each other for a couple of months,,,, they really seem to have found their soul mates in each other,,,,
Jenika is a college educated low key, happy with her life full of her life of teaching, paying bills, leading her line and seeing David,
David is a nice guy who is happy with his company he has built from nothing,,,, he is a big name in football and soccer shoes,,, he also comes from a family of money,,, but did not use any of this to grow his company, and is very happy about that ,,,,
This weekend, David has a family thing to do with his father and Jenika has some business to attend to with her mother,,,, neither have been very close to their parent,,,, until Jenika comes down the isle for Maid of Honor for her mother and across from her as best man, for his father,,,, is David,,, and shit, as they say, hit the fan,,,,

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is not the typical step brother and sister who live together with their respective parents and then fall in love. This one is better and it's be Fiona Miers. In this Jenika is a teacher and she falls in love with David who is a self made millionaire and all seems to be going well. Well, that is, until the day her mum marries his dad! At this point, I did not like David at all. he was childish, immature and a real disgrace with the way he treated Jenika. The way he treated her was heartbreaking as she did not deserve any of the abuse or retorts thrown at her. When he finds out about Jenika's health scare will he even care? Will he be too late to ask her for forgiveness and give him a second chance with her? Jenika's character is of a steadfast, loyal young woman who is hard-working and loving despite her disagreements with her mother. Will her kind heart risk giving David another chance or did he go too far? A really good story with great characters, one who, thank goodness, did "wake up" and do the right thing.

I have just finished this wonderful, evocative, intense love story that has captured my heart and mind. I have never had tears welling up in my eyes at such a beautiful soul searching book. Melodrama, shallow characters, and sloppy writing
I picked this book up wanting to see what the whole pseudo incest genre was about, so I went with one of my favorite sub genres billionaires to hopefully sweeten the deal. And if this book is indicative of what I should expect, I'm going to be avoiding this from now on.
From the beginning there was so much heavy handed melodrama I wanted to choke. David was a jerk and Jennika was insipid. Whiles ostensibly set in San Francisco a very U.S. City all of the characters talked liked Brits and used British slang...like Mum for Mom... Rung for called... And football association for NFL. At several points the author switched between present and past tense. Additionally there were several wrong words, missing words, and missing punctuation and I knew that this was self edited if it was edited at all.
I was disappointed and for that this gets

This steamy tale introduces a relatively new couple, who have been dating for a few months, to each other's parents in an odd twist of fate. The couple's relationship is progressing nicely, until the fateful day that they meet the other's single parent. This meeting takes place at the alter, where the girl's mother is marrying the man's father. Needless to say, many misunderstandings occur. How does this sticky situation get resolved? Read this book to find out.
Excellent character development. Definitely has some twists within the story line. A great read.
Reader beware: This read is much spicier then Ms. Miers former pieces.

Jenkia had another problem when she discovered she was expecting David's baby and she felt it was too late for them to have a relationship because he thought both her mother and herself were gold diggers after his and his father's money.

This was a lovely sweet quick read. It had a dual POVs which I loved. It was filled with just enough angst and was not long and drawn out. It is a perfect read to spend a hour or two on a lazy afternoon. I look forward to reading more from this author as I enjoyed her style of writing. I highly recommend this to anyone.

Both characters carry baggage that has nothing to do with them, but it unfortunately colors how they view relationships in general and with each other in particular. However, good old physical attraction and the consequences of giving in to it forces them to look past their assumptions of each other and towards the HEA they both deserve.

When I started this stepbrother novel, I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. A great story about a couple battling with the ups and downs of building a relationship. There were times that I laughed and times that I cried. And in the end, I smiled!

David and Jenika had a blooming romance, until a wedding ruins everything. David’s father marring Jenika’s mother is a surprise for both and results in a breakup.

Didn’t really care for this book. Started out as a boyfriend he was crazy about her and then he finds out that her mother Mary his dad and he calls her a gold digger and that’s all she ever was and she’s like her mother and he just drops her. No reason no nothing. Now I just really didn’t care for the book.

This was a steamy, quick read. The romance between Jenika and David went from fantastic to furious in the space of a wedding based on misunderstanding and mistrust. When Jenika finds out she is pregnant after their breakup her world turns upside down. She doesn’t want to tell David about the baby when he already believes the worst about her intentions. It was a fun short story.

I was not ready for this story to end. I wanted to cry when I realized I had reached the end of the epilogue. David and Jenika are amazing characters. Their chemistry is immediately apparent and hot!
